  1. I use cdex, there's a link in my earlier post. It uses the lame codec too.
  2. Never seen that one before Ronin. There is some good info on the Hydrogen Audio forums too. Link.
  3. LDRover. If you're making a compilation with tracks from your own cd's it would be better to rip them to mp3 in the first place rather than convert them. CDEX is free and very easy to use if you want to rip to mp3.
  4. My mate at work was with AOL and his 12 month contract just finished with them and he left. He said that six months into the contract, he came back from holiday to find that he couldn't get onto the net. He had loads of conversations with them over the phone to try and fix the problem but they couldn't sort it out. They ended up admitting defeat and left him with no connection but insisted that he had to continue paying until the contract ran it's course. He paid them for six months when they weren't even fulfilling their end of the contract. He's more forgiving than me. I'd have done my best to find a way out of that one.
  5. I've never had a problem with NTL though I understand that they are also known as NTHELL. I must be one of the lucky ones.
  6. I wonder if anything will come of this 2GB/s trial. The world's fastest internet connection will let users download Encyclopaedia Britannica in less than seven seconds. Link.
  7. NTL-Telewest is to unveil a 50Mbs for cable customers. Do you need that sort of speed? I don't and I probably couldn't afford to pay for it anyway. Video link.
  8. Nice summary. The goverment is scare-mongering to justify taxing us to death.
  9. It's been hotter than this before and it cooled down again. Taxes will not stop it. Tony Blair trying to save the world while talking about trebling air travel, he's having a laugh. He's only trying to build his war chest before we go into Iran. We might get a bit hotter yet but don't worry, we'll cool down again.
  10. How many times do I have to agree with you that we have an effect. Even so, it can't be stopped. Did you read my earlier post Eddie?
  11. I agreed a few days ago that we were contributing slightly and I also said that it could not be stopped. Did you see the temperature chart that shows that it has happened on and off for thousands of years. It didn't just start after the car was invented. The scientists are saying that we are contributing to it the same as I am, they just forgot to mention that it's natural and that paying more taxes won't make it go away. It's inevitable.
  12. We established a long time ago that it's happening. The point is it's natural and can't be stopped, even if we pay more taxes. I do wish people would read.
  13. Temperatures for the last 400,000 years. Like I said in another thread, it's happened before and it will happen again. No need for more taxes, they won't stop it like he's trying to convince us and it seems to be working in some cases. Temps.
  14. The world is warming up at the moment but don't worry as it will cool again. It's natural. The goverment might reveal this many years after taxing us to stop something something that can't be stopped. No matter how much money they take from us, sea levels will still rise but they'll recede again in the future when we cool down again.
  15. This isn't a beta is it? I've been watching WMP11 for a while but the last time I looked it was still in beta.
  16. You could also find some useful opinions on this link. Cable Forum
