  1. You can't be bothered to think for yourself, thought as much.
  2. Think for yourself and do a little research. You'll find it all on the net just don't bother with the BBC (Blair Broadcasting Corporation) site. They have a habit of being biased as they admitted themselves a few weeks ago.
  3. We contribute minimally to global warming and the goverment can't do anything to stop it. Take every car off the road and stop all other sources of carbon emissions and you will see virtually no difference in the rate of global warming. It will happen no matter what the goverment takes from us to try and slow it down. Flopsy, I never said it was.
  4. den, you don't have to believe everything Tony Blair wants you to. You're allowed to think for yourself sometimes, for the moment at least.
  5. How do we know what a normal level is? Some charts show that our temperature is closely related to activity on the sun, how do we control the sun? There is even evidence of global warming on other planets, did we cause that too?
  6. Can anyone tell me how to stop global warming since it's been happening on and off for hundreds of thousands of years. I'm not asking how to slow it but how to stop it. It can't be done, even by paying more taxes or completely stopping our carbon emissions.
  7. Don't worry about global warming, there's nothing we or anyone can do to stop it. When it gets hotter humans will have to adapt as they will when it cools down again.
  8. Anyone who went, can you spot yourself in any of these photos. Telegraph.
  9. Thanks Kamy. I was looking at PSPVIDEO9 after I saw it mentioned in your earlier post. Is there any limit to the bitrate of the mp3's that the psp can handle?
  10. My youngest son has just decided that he wants a PSP for christmas. What do I need to buy as extras to go with it so he can do anything with it such as music, movies and games. Does anyone use the sandisk memory sticks as they seem to be a good deal compared to the Sony ones? Any other tips that could be useful? Thanks.
  11. For anyone interested in Blackburn's history. Cotton Town
  12. Pity the cannons aren't there any more. If I remember rightly, they were taken away during WW2. Great view from up there, i'll have to go down there and see how it looks.
  13. New tax is set to hammer all your holidays. Link. The Stern report seems to be the ideal excuse for Gordon Brown to claim more taxes. I wonder what he'll dream up next.
  14. What exactly is being done to extract power from the seas, as we're surrounded by water it must be a good idea to make the most of it.
  15. How many wind farms would we need to power the whole country? I think they look OK but maybe if there were thousands of them near every town and city it would be a bit much. Maybe they could stick more out at sea and possibly a different colour than white to help them blend in with their surroundings better.
  16. Don't worry about it, nature can look after itself.
  17. This would help stop people speeding in Britain, i'm sure. Link.
  18. Thanks. I haven't seen the Blackburn End angle, only the one from Jack Walker stand.
  19. For anyone who liked Oasis in their earlier days, Stop The Clocks is a good collection. Link.
  20. Coming up after Doomwatch... the end of the world. Link. I was just reading this and thought it was quite funny. Hope you like it.
  21. My thoughts too. Unless they put in cameras to cover every possible angle mistakes would still be made. I'm still not sure if Mido handballed after seeing the replay numerous times but if there were other cameras picking up other angles the correct decision could be made.
  22. I have wmp 10. In the tools-options section you can see the "rip" tab where you have an option to rip to mp3. Many people don't use this though as the lame codec which many consider to be best is not used by wmp.
  23. I'd agree. For anyone using newsgroups though, faster is better. You could download a 700MB avi movie in half an hour on a 4mb connection.
  24. You might need a video codec. On the website I link to, look for a codec identifier in the tools section, I use GSpot. When it tells you which video codec you need, check the tools section again and get the required codec. The website also has forums with loads of info too. I usually find that the XVid codec plays all my movies but there are others, that's why you really need the codec identifier. Videohelp.
