  1. Its nothing personal, but he’s a symptom of a football club that has completely lost the plot.

We had a ‘DoF’ model, we had a ‘model’ to ‘develop’ players and sell on for profit. We had a ‘model’ to play a certain style of football from the under 8s to the first team…

then we didn’t and we are now playing ‘prosaic’ football with 37 year olds and a bloke with a metal leg.

Where does this ‘confused’ club to turn a phrase end up? The third division.

  2. It’s very hard when you don’t bother tracking your runners or marking. You aren’t 5-0 down at home after 30 minutes if you are putting a shift in, regardless of opposition. Look at Luton for evidence of that.

(And getting spanked 5-0, 6-0, even 8-0 every home game).

  3. Getting in behind and cutting back to unmarked, untracked players in the box is standard Sunday league/kids stuff when one side is a million miles away from the other.

I wouldn’t look too deeply into the wider tactical implications on this occasion.

  4. Strutting around the lounges with a Rovers tie on, nice three courser then ambling up to his padded seat, looking at the sparse turnout whilst telling his opposite CEO number what shit support we have, ‘I mean, we’ve done all we can’.

  5. Yep every credit to Luton.

9/10k gates in a dilapidated old ground, load of journeyman and they’ve given it a real go (as they did for the two previous years in this league).

No excuses culture, unlike the pathetic shower that run/own this club.

  6. Get that ‘99. Him and Leonard would be elsewhere right now at a normal club.

But we aren’t one, he’s here and he’ll be playing a fair few minutes. And you know what I’d have him in over the likes of Moran so not sure he deserves the daily ‘nowhere near’, ‘not up to it’, as neither are most of them - it’s why we are heading back to the third division.
