No demand for housing in the Ribble Valley?!
I think any resident of Whalley, Langho, Clitheroe will certainly disagree with that notion, indeed just drive into those areas to see the vast amounts of housing springing up…

Cause and effect seem to totally elude these people.
’We can’t compete at this level, and that’s nothing to do with Venky’s’
’We have crap gates and that’s nothing to do with Venky’s’
’We are skint and that’s nothing to do with Venky’s’.
’We are a small club and…’ … think you see where I’m going with this.

I wear blue and white specs, that’s why I only want the best for the club.
These other people parroting whatever latest guff comes out of Swag, blindly accepting the decline of this club under these owners are actually wearing claret and blue specs from where I’m standing.

As I’ve said previously we’ve somehow ended up with the most unbelievable bad luck, a unique situation from what I can see.
We have owners that have absolutely no ambition for the club apart from keeping it out of administration, but also refuse to even entertain selling it to someone who does have ambition for it.
We’re fucked.

We didn't hear anything until ages after last time either. It was down to an Eagle eyed poster on here to spot that the case had been adjourned.
The silence from the Club was deafening- as it usually is when bad news is afoot - like when a planning application to bulldoze half of Brockhall had been sneakily slipped in under the radar but was spotted by someone on here ( MattyBlue?)
Well, I was the first to flag it on here, but it came from an eagle-eyed Facebook pal who had spotted it on the Ribble Valley Council planning page... how odd that the club didn't want to shout from the rooftops, considering it was such an 'exciting development'* as per Swag's rumbled interview to the in house media team.
(* Exciting development being to bulldoze half of Brockhall to put houses on it)

He doesn’t *know* but I’d guess he just can’t see this lot ever fucking off - neither can I.

This club doesn't prioritise results, surely the only pro outfit at any level to preach such a non-competitive mantra - and it shows.
Think of Bowyer, think of Mowbray, now this guy. It's all an 'ah well' shrug of the shoulders and on to the next one.
A development Academy that happens to have one of it's sides playing in a senior league.

If you have higher standards for Blackburn Rovers than this farce you are ‘living in 1995’? 🙄
Away with your LT comments-esque shite on here.

Does it matter if folk on here don’t ’give him a chance’? If that’s their opinion, that’s their opinion.
He’s had a comfortable ride from the actual crowd thus far, which is fair enough.

Is he buggery.
My initial view is he’s your standard lower league journeyman manager, happy to have a job so will come out with the standard manager cliched claptrap. Maybe he’s another Coyle or Appleton, we’ll see.
But some of you have very short memories if you are comparing him to an individual that played a central role in completely ruining this football club.

Our pretty much play off level points haul to December has done most of the heavy lifting. If we do survive it will be by just about scraping enough draws and an odd win thrown in to scramble to 50 points.
-
He’s 29 a month into next season.
So the chance of one more big contract and he won’t be getting it here - he’s off.

A feeder club to Luton, who were embarking on a five year stint in non league as this lot bought BRFC, but ‘where would we be without them’?

If that’s what counts as ‘strong’, no wonder we are struggling.

So much free time footballers yet can’t be arsed to even get to a rudimentary level of Spanish despite playing for a Spanish club and for a Spanish speaking country.
Pathetic aren’t they.

Of course JDT has forgotten about us, as does every professional as soon as they get a new gig, they are all guns for hire.
However, whilst here he was striving for this club to be more - it’s the fact that it isn’t run like a professional football club as to why he’s gone.

When you look back at that infamous eve of season Swag interview and we sat here at the time aghast at the outlandish (we thought) and unambitious things he was saying.
(After two seasons knocking on the door of the Premier League) “We just want to develop players and stay in this division”
(Despite the owners being billionaires) “We need to help them”
And so it has come to pass-A squad full of loans and young lads ‘to develop’ as we ‘aim’ to stay in the division.
Wharton sold to ‘help’ pay the bills for them.

The results were more than fine until December 2023. Obviously no question it went sour very quickly post then.

Court case aside, I can’t see them ever putting the club into administration, regardless of division.

You seemed to rate him pretty highly when he was here (which was noticeable as you don’t rate many folk 😅)

Can’t say I’ve taken to the bloke at all, but no he isn’t in the Ke*n category, not even close.

So I am a little confused. We didn't get the Sunderland chap because he was over 30. Then all of a sudden we get two over 30 year olds in this window. One is out for the season and the other banned because he is a trifle slow.
Because of ‘the model’… oh, there never was one after all? Who’d have thought it!

ST sales will be substantially down next season, but of course they’ll be far higher than 2k. Morecambe have more ST holders than that.
We will, however, be back to the 2021 nadir of under 7,000. But I’m sure Swag will still find a way of hitting his stretch targets.

Armchair is anti-JDT so he is cutting his successor more slack… so just like when an anti-Coyle fanbase cut more of it for his successor.

English is the world lingua franca, I doubt Americans, Australians, New Zealanders are much better.
If the USA spoke French, so films, music, popular culture, people working in bars, restaurants abroad all spoke French too, I’d wager French would be much wider spoken by Brits.
