Good point , Alan But weren't they planning on starting from the East stand (if that's what it's called ) and working the way around ? I'm just wondering if it'll be possible to shift away from my rather lowly seat in the North bottom tier to somewhere more worthy of the £45 I splashed out .... That's if the FA don't mind me borrowing one of their empty seats -

Getting away from all this gay talk , does anyone know if Arsenal took up the extra tickets in the West stand ? And does anyone know where all our empty seats are likely to be ? -

Good point ES. And even more commendable are those figures when taking into account the fact that there is a significant %age of the population of Blackburn who would never claim any allegiance to Blackburn Rovers and would never dream of going to Ewood Park. mmmmm......you just can't help yourself can you? That is of course if I'm thinking what i think your thinking Leave him alone - he comes from a hard working family... -
The challenge cuo committe dont make operational decisions, they are a strategic body, they deal with rules and admission criteria etc. If the club had said know one of the tacks the FA would probably have used would be -selling the tickets directly (what a cock up that would be) - letting the club do what they want, but charging them £45 for each of the "extra" £25 tickets in the West Stand. -or of course, removing us from the competition, which they can do at a stroke for failing to follow competition rules. Unfortunately the club are not in the best of positions to dictate to the FA, if only they were..... Maybe not make them Stuw but they can certainly challenge them - hence their name. It's true the FA are primarily to blame but the Rovers' part in this shambles has not been entirely blameless. I could see this chaos coming a mile away when the ticket "details" were first released . The club gave no specific numbers of how many £25 and £35 tickets were available (and not only in the family stand) - only that the numbers were "limited" . Now what was that supposed to mean ? 50 ?500 ? 5000? . We weren't told because both the FA AND the Rovers wanted to fleece us for every last penny they could . No doubt the club sycophants will exonerate our board and come out with the usual nonsense about being slow to buy tickets , just be grateful to be in the cup , etc , but this just doesn't wash . The club's silence over this whole Cardiff shambles has been deafening . If the club is no longer aspires to be a family club , loyal to its fans , then that attitude can work both ways . Season ticket sales are going to be dire next year ....
-
If that was the case maybe Lee could also tell us if those who have been forced to pay for the £45 tickets would be able to exchange these tickets for the cheaper ones . Just think - if Will were to change his 17 tickets for £25 ones he could save a grand total of £340 !! Greed is killing this game . Is it any wonder people watch the game in the boozer ?

That could refer to Paul's kids !! . Hope the NSPCC aren't reading ...

Me and about 30 million other people ! You obviously don't get out much if you think Labour/Tory truly represent the views of the public . Or do you think I'm alone in wanting harsher punishments , capital and corporal punishment , lesser immigration , schooling that involves a bit of discipline etc etc ..? Like I said , there's millions like me - but the undemocratic electoral system doesn't allow small parties to get off the ground . -
Left it too late eh ; could be a full house then , Jan , the way the enclosure is filling up Still not convinced that £45 tickets can only be found on row 7 - maybe the ticket girl may have been disinclined to look a bit harder ....Never mind . I blame Souness , personally .
-
What the hell are you prattling on about now? How can you fail to understand the simple information that the club have provided us with? The WHOLE of the family enclosure is available at concessionary prices. (I have already purchased several concessionary tickets in the Blue zone, well above row 7). If that's the case , then thanks for enlightening me Spark - albeit in your own usual charmless and ignorant manner . If you had read my earlier posts you my have surmised that this information was given to me directly from the ticket office - ie , that only Row 7 was now available for concessions at £45. Naturally I found this hard to believe as it indicates that the rest of the stand is full !! May I ask how much you paid ? (If you can't be polite don't bother replying )

No - I've always voted , Den , working on the principle of the least worst option . In the past this has varied from the Greens to the Natural Law Party . Not that it matters ; without proportional representation a vote is worthless . Unless you live in a marginal it's absolutely pointless . Will it ever get changed ? Nah - not while it suits the main two parties . Like I've said before REAL democracy doesn't exist in this country . It always makes me laugh that small parties (even the BNP !) suck up to the system that gives them nothing . Gutless the lot of them . -

I haven't got a straight answer , Den ,because none of the present parties could satisfy the people's desire for peace on their streets . That's why it's high time they were swept away . Our whole democracy is a sham and I've nothing but contempt for those who simply shrug their shoulders , accept the unacceptable and vote Labour/Tory/Liberal. (Sorry Flopsy) . Vote for anyone other than the established gangs of crooks - it's a start .. -

"Tough on crime , tough on the causes of crime" . Was it not Blair who said that , Den ? Would you not agree that he has abjectly failed in his policies toward curbing violent crime ? I certainly hold the PM responsible for presiding over a nation were such crimes are all too frequent . He made the election promises ; he's responsible for not delivering on them . -
What it says , Jan , is that there are "very" few seats - so why not tell us all exactly how many and save us all this bullshi1t about guessing and working out whether we should be queueing at dawn on day one ? The rest - blue bit on the map , clearly marked "family enclosure" - extends right halfway up the stadium - the WHOLE of the lower tier ! (Confusing , and deliberately so IMO). Now that doesn't signify to me that now , on day 5 , all that is now available is on row 7 ! Presumably everything above row 7 is NOT available to concession tickets . So why not say so ? It jsut seems unfair to me to expect kids to pay full price to get a decent view of the game , especially when the ground's going to be half empty . Still , that last point gives me a bit of hope - we might simply be able to move higher up into the mass of empty seats behind us and get a decent view . Here's hoping for a bad turnout !! Why am I not surprised that everyone will be in the pub watching ?
-
Ever heard of supply and demand ?
-
If the £45 tickets are on row7 of the Lower tier, Jan , then it's safe to assume that there weren't that bloody many to begin with ! Why didn't the robbing bast£rds have the balls to announce how many in the first place ? The Rovers should be encouraging kids to go , not positively turn the parents against the club . I could understand if we were in the position of possibly selling out but that's not the case is it ? No fleurkin wonder when they pull stunts like this . Can anyone give me an email address at the club were I can complain to ?
-
Only 8000 eh ? Maybe someone can explain to me why concession tickets are now only on sale at the £45 level and then only at row 7 on the Lower Tier of the North Stand . What the hell happened to the £25 and £35 concessionary tickets ? Were they only ever for Rows 6 and below ? Or did they ever exist at all ? Does anyone on this m/board possess these treasured items ? Maybe I'm being a little cynical but I've the funny feeling someone is taking the pi$$ down at the Rovers . 8000 tickets sold and yet someone like me with 8 season tickets in my hand am being offered row 7 of the lower tier ! Needless to say the offer was not accepted . A pity the accommodation is already booked .... Rovers a family club ? Do me a favour .....
-
Oops . Never mind - just discovered the stadium plans on the official site .
-
Anybody tell me where the family stand (concessions) area is situated - top tier , lower tier etc ..? Cheers .
-
oops , double post

Against the Arse , a top team , today the formation was probably right - as the first half performance indicated . What I would have preferred was Stead to play the front man role . 4-4-2 is ok against lesser sides . Hughes was a bit limited today in his options in that he had to use all his subs early . Otherwise Stead would surely had replaced Dickov about 20-30 minutes from the end . -
If we win the cup it'll be a movie ...
