1. Never liked the guy because I never saw him once acknowledge the supporters either at home or away. He was always the first down the tunnel and it left a sour taste in the mouth. But I’d rather have him than someone who refused to wear the shirt and throws his toys out of the pram every time he's dropped.
2. Hughes said on Radio Lancs last night that he'll probably not feature this weekend due to him missing his flight back to England after international duty. Silly boy.....
3. You'll be fine for Dutch clubs Capt
4. I think I’d sobered up by halftime after getting wasted the night before and much of the day of the game. Can't believe you're not making the trip to Salzburg, you're in mainland Europe get on the train for the day man --> QUOTE(Ste B @ Sep 6 2006, 15:57 ) 442865 Some more proper boozers rather than Irish Bars - http://www.europeanbeerguide.net/salzburg.htm Lets pick one make a plan to meet the night before the game.
5. Still plenty of alternatives if you're willing to go out of your way a bit. Flights from Stanstead are still an option and not overly expensive, you can also fly from Blackpool to Stanstead with good connection times to Germany then a short train ride. But as has been said already, be quick as tickets have almost gone. The support will be close to the numbers we took to Lyon, anyone who was there will confirm that was a great trip and the support that night was excellent.
6. Reading all the cr@p on the travel thread it certainly pays to organize your own transport. We were considering a new banner but didn't get around to ordering it so maybe for a later round if we get through. The other consideration was what to have printed on the thing? Wanted something original? Or something derogatory aimed at our claret friends, small town in europe is a great idea but thats already been done.........
7. Couldn't trap a sandbag!
8. Jordan outside McDonalds in Sofia was a sight to behold 18yrs old or not he was a disgrace to everything English
9. Good man see you there.
10. --> QUOTE(Ste B @ Sep 4 2006, 12:51 ) 442399 I suggest that if its nice we pay a visit to This Beer Garden one afternoon. That looks an ideal meeting place Ste.
11. The Irish bar in Sofia the night before the game, and as Steb pointed out the English pub in Lyon were memorable to say the least. Wednesday night in either pub will be good if everyone heads there.
12. You and giddy goat tried to trap his head in the lift doors, then you tried to roll him in the lift and send him up and down the down hotels 30 floors..........I SAVED HIM FROM THE SECURITY then he tried to attack me when he came round That's gratitude for ya!
13. How does the allocation work then Lee? just over 200 sold and possibly another 100-200 put aside for the travel club? so around 300 left? Just wondering as a couple of people I know don't have season tickets and are getting rather worried
14. Clearly Hughes rates him a much better player than some of us on here. His performances so far this term have hardly covered him in glory especially getting sent off at Pompey which was amateurish to say the least, so a new deal is surprising........ Neill holds all the aces though and i doubt he'll sign the new deal with Liverpools interest on going.
15. Debs went down at 7.45am and had around 25 other people in front of her, first guy arrived at 5am! Many seemed to be buying several tickets for friends and family. She left at around 9.20am and said at least 50 people were still in the queue. I think you'd have to assume that all the tickets will easily be snapped up so don't put things off for to long if you fancy going.
16. Pack the suncream people
17. Miserable ****
18. Apparently not.
19. They were pussy cats I know Glenn has been try to arrange a pub for us all to meet up and hopefully this will happen if the locals get back to him. The night before the game in Sofia has to be my highlight, singing and dancing on the tables and Waggy seemingly unconscious on the bar, after several 70% proof vodkas, suddenly burst into song and gave us a rendition of "I was born in the Blackburn end" Quality moment
20. They can't do that because they'll be left with hundreds of unsold tickets. They tried to do the same when we went to Lyon but discarded the idea after people went mad. Season ticket holders will get the bulk of tickets and rightly so, but i feel 700 maybe not enough for this one and queues are likely on the morning tickets go on sale. Can i just add also that all the other clubs in the Uefa Cup have announced ticket details and travel packages, why haven't we??????
21. Couple of hours and runs regular 20 Euros give or take a few No
22. Good man, pity Tris and Giddy can't make and yes where is Waggy?
23. The booze bus will be hitting the road at some stage this season. As for getting stuffed? Who cares? It’s all about following your team in to Europe, for me it’s the best part of following the club, you should try it SG you'll not be disappointed.....
24. Are the home team not obliged to offer the away club 10% of the grounds capacity? Seems like allot of interest in this one and despite my early claim I’m beginning to think 700 may not be enough.
