How many efforts on target did we have?

Ive said in the match thread about we lacked quality in the key areas today..

    But defensively much better organised.

We need have a guy who can tactical organised a team and have a plan A and B

He's taking us down ( sometimes your only has good as your last job )...step up David Dunn next season and we all know how his League one managerial stint went

I would say Mowbray will stay. He knows this club can go forward under him. Plus he has been planning for next season with Senior and taking a keen interest in the under 23's players

    55 minutes ago, Dunnfc said:

Said it at the time he wasn't right and i think he's been a marginal improvement on Coyle.

Still not good enough though but he's been dealt a keany hand by the current "squad" he's inherited and working for Venkys, Cheston and Senior.

Squad is good enough under Mowbray. Players fitness levels are poor.

In the Summer Mowbray and Senior will overhaul this squad play the way Mowbray wants

He can't organise a team at all, have you actually been to any of our games under him?

What a load of rubbish you are talking.

Look at orgainsed we were today and Forest away. The team were orgainsed, shape was good.

And just for the record I was there today. Sat on Row B

    Zola resigns....bad news.

2 wins in 22 games is pathetic and still the owners didn't act by sacking him. He walked away. Believe that fans were loud in their shouting for him to be sack/leave

who nexts? dunno but I guess their owners didn't have a plan so they will be panicking and relying on their advisors suggestions. I expect Richard Beale to get the job for 3 games. He is I think their under 18's manager

    You don't learn.

Senior - "No added value" was why he dismissed any January signing despite there being monies available and players lined up sat in hotels etc which i don't see how given the perilous state of the finances of the club anyways. Given the supporters consultation which you seem well informed on provided Senior hits of "I made a good decision did i not" on both the Joao and Mowbray additions.

When the F**k are you going to wake up and realise he like the rest are charlatans out for themselves?

Your not stupid so stop buying the PR spin, you can't PR spin a second relegation can you? Which directly hes 50% of this season responsible for.

    PS@rovers.co.uk Give Paul a email

Thats your opinion not mine. We will see and judge him on signings in the summer.

You arent interested in the team on the pitch. I am.

Out of interest after 5 games, how do fans generally feel about Mowbray now that the dust has settled a little bit, I know we can't judge him after 5 games, just asking what is the general feeling of him so far across the team performance, structure, him as an individual etc...Just genuinely interested!

    So far so good.

Team set up to a proper gameplan. Structure is better than most managers we had.

9 points from 5 games has been good.

His comments have been honest, simple and straight to the point..

Plus the fans at Ewood Park are right behind Mowbray. Sing his name during the game

Correct Smith was a loan. Still you pay a loan fee and wages etc. Powell/Barnes linked throughout the same summer too. Infact that Barnes link never went away.

    Sam Rush - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4299028/Derby-not-level-playing-field-WMG-say-agents.html

I've seen the Olsson stuff, a list of transfers is available on FA website.

No the Barnes link never went away but at least we didnt sign him. Did Senior block it? Most likely.

Didnt know about Sam Rush but he appointed by Mel Morris.

Sliding scale approach... SEM who are no more but existing in the forms of Kentaro AG and Wassermann Media Group with notable ex SEM agents Neil Fewnings and Paul Martin now working for WMG pulling the strings in the UK.

Neil Fewnings pocketed 1 million after SEM went in bringing Murphy and Kazim Richards to the club http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2306573/Financial-picture-Blackburn-Venkys-revealed--Exclusive.html. Since then without the PL riches it's been a scaled down approach for the EX SEM men now WMG for Hope Akpan and Danny Guthrie, Elliott Ward & Wes Brown.

Most players who were with SEM like Chris Long, Nick Powell, Kieran Gibbs, Nick Blackman, Brad Smith have moved over to WMG. Now Powell and Smith were certainly linked to BRFC under Coyle including another WMG player Giles Barnes, whilst Blackman played for BRFC. Another disconcerting fact is, why ex WMG chief ended up at Derby as a director and signed up no less than 10 WMG players.

Every time a contract gets renewed, every time they play or get paid, 10% cut to the agency etc.

The Simon Conning approach along with his old pals Neil Fewnings and Paul Martin works very similar. Get Nyambe and co in the team for the apperance money and re-negotiate contracts for 4-5 years skimming 10% off.

    Quite lucrative.

If it don't happen for a while take a leaf out of Neil Fewnings book straight from the book of Jerome ... Partner with a fellow agent, step forward Marcus Olsson agent HCM who on the paperwork lodged with the FA partnered with "Neil Fewnings". Yep the very same WMG man with the very same WMG linked clubs as mentioned above.

Smith was a loan deal wasn't before Liverpool sold him to Bournemouth so that's fall through.

Powell and Barnes were linked and I think Barnes was here to sign But it never happened. Senior probably block it

With all fairness Nyambe has been playing well. he been getting better game by game.

Who is the Derby director? and Have you seen Olsson paperwork for yourself?

Has anyone heard that we are dropping our Academy rating at the end of the season? Talking to an academy coach at another club who says we are withdrawing 'expenses' for the players and therefore the parents are looking to go to other clubs.

we secure our top rating last summer

    http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/blackburn-rovers-academy-category-1-status-3201159.aspx

isn't this rating for 3 years long?

    Tony Mowbray thread

bottom 3 still after 5 games

    3 tough games next

    sleep walking to league 1

    nothing changed

9 points from 5 games from Mowbray is a massive improvement compare to where we would have been under Coyle.

Probably on the same points as Wigan.

Simon Conning was brought in by Jerome Anderson as he was a SEM agent.

Jerome got all the youth to sign up to Simon Conning Consulting agency.

That's why some of the youth were on obscene contracts.

    14 minutes ago, Dunnfc said:

Yep also Crown Football Group where he is director. Clients include Nyambe, Sam Gallagher, Ryan Edwards, Luke Varney etc.

Thanks Dunnfc for coming on here and posting it instead of little hints like Jal does.

Can I asked when you said "That's why some of the youth were on obscene contracts." have these players moved on since or still here?

    Who's Simon Conning chaddy ?

What has he got to do with Tony Mowbray and this thread?

Set up an Agent thread and discuss him there

Tbh, I really couldnt care about Simon Conning. You are obsess about agents. Thats why I think you are football agent or work for a sport agency

    Jal out!!!

All that matters is staying up this season.

Imagine Steele will be on three times that Gav.

What do you know about local agent Simon Conning Gav  ? as this guy once told me prior to the takeover once how he'd love John Williams job way back then.

    Just asking !

What has Simon Conning got to do the Mowbray thread?

If you want to talk agents then start a thread about it

No problems with you saying that /having that view, it was the better comment that surprised me (especially in light of your viewpoint.) Steele needs to improve a lot more than better to get anywhere near adequate.

Not sure it's worth getting defensive about - wasn't trying to question your football knowlege.

I felt that Steele in the 3 league games Ive seen since Mowbray took over he looks better. Under Coyle felt Steele went massive backwards.

  14. 46 minutes ago, Blue blood said:

Chaddy agree with you about the Boro situation but Steele better????

the guy is the worst keeper I've ever seen, along with Fettis and costs us goals and points regularly. Maybe 1 in 5 he has a good game but generally he is poor even for this level.

Whilst there are loads of people to blame IF we go down - mainly Vs and clueless - Steele on the playing side is up there letting in soft goal after soft goal. He is a liability plain and simple and can't be spun positively.

I've said all season long we need a new keeper and it should have been one of the most important areas to strength last summer

  15. Just now, JAL said:

Mowbray needed to be replaced at Middlesbrough in order for them to progress and achieve success so if he thinks Steele is his number one to can get you results then he's a phoney Tony in my book.

Rovers need a top class keeper in the summer .

How much did Mowbray spend compare to Karanka? Plus wasnt Gibson(Boro owner) making cutbacks after the very expensive Gordon Strachan spend a forture and got nowhere?

Before we start thinking of the summer transfer window and next season we must be focusing on staying up THIS season.

On the keeper issue Steele looks better and more confident. Still think Raya needs some good game time here. Mowbray hasnt bought in a GK coach yet. So he needs to bring one in the summer. Maybe he is waiting for Dean Kiely or someone else employed. If Pardew get the Norwich job then I can see Kiely leaving cos Pardew always want Andy Woodman as Gk coach at his previous clubs(last 2 at least)

We're not in Europe chaddyrovers do a bit of research on senior he's not the DOF anyone would want

A improvement on the pitch doesn't mean everything In the garden is rosy it is far from chaddyrovers

I did address saying We have to deal with who we got in that role. If Senior does a good job I will say so. If he does poor I will say so.

Ive never say everything in the garden is rosy have I? I said lets focus on staying up this season..very impressed by Mowbray so far.

There's no arguing with that.

Are you the wind up or something?

Cant believe we are still going on about a tie for 5 days. Its Black and Blue in all honest who really cares!!!

Maybe his tie colour mattets more than win or picking points up???

The DoF rarely works in the English game as Alex Ferguson said manager's manage coaches coach

We do have deadwood in the squad quite a bit tbf

As far as signings we all know that there's further cost cutting going to come

Mowbray won't be signing the players which will be a big problem it will be senior

But let's concentrate on staying up for now before the Burton game I said we needed minimum of 8 points from the Next four games we have achieved that so let's keep it going I think the home games are the key to staying up and picking something up unexpectedly on our travels

The DoF model does work in English football. Look at Southampton for example. This model works in Europe.

I think Mowbray and Senior will work together in bringing in signings this summer. But like Ive said many times signings must fit the style of play we will used.

I'm happy with the points total so far. Its more than we would have got under Coyle tbh.
