The last time I Iooked Darwen was nowhere near the black country I know the council is changing the electoral wards but still I doubt there's many Wolves fans this way so don't know how you gauge that Chadd

If I remember correctly you was a Lambert fan

Btw I think  Mowbray will keeps us up just about

Its called social media and football boards.

I like Lambert alot. Thought he could take our club on. But like I posted before that the time to judge him is next season. After a full pre season where he can put his full ideas across and get the fitness level to where he wants them to be

So you don't know what he's been tweeting? Sounds like he's thrown the dummy.

Ive not really be following him tbh.

Only asked him about GK coach coming in? He didnt really know much

After the Coyle sacking he was rubbishing claims that Rovers already had a replacement lined up. Clearly the quick appointment of Mowbray was already arranged yet Nixon was saying people were being stupid thinking Rovers already had someone ready to come in. Showed himself up there big style.

Think Mowbray coming in was complete under the radar.

I didnt see any links with him before he was appointed

I shouldn't really ask but I'm intrigued to know. How is Nixon taking the Coyle sacking, and what's his opinion on TM? I don't have access to his twitter.

I was ignored for days. He has blocked plenty of Rovers fans. I wouldn't be surprise if I'm blocked now.

The problem is the decision was right but later than I wanted

I think you might find Wolves fans disagree at the moment.

Some Wolves fans aren't happy with Lambert at all, but that is very similar to people on here having a go at Mowbray after 4 days in the job

People talking with great authority about stuff they know nowt about as per usual.

I'm surrounded by Wolves fans where I live and in the main theyre happy with Lambert, and realise he needs more than a few weeks to turn things around.

The bunkum posted about Mowbray last night was some of the biggest load of cr@p I've ever read on here and I've read some right nonsense over the years.

Give the guy a bleedin chance!

Gav, Some Wolves fans aren't happy with Lambert at all. But Some are tho. Think I time to judge is next season with Lambert. He needs a full pre season to put all of his methods in place. Look at Monk at Leeds who has a full pre season with them That's when you can put your full ideas across to the players and have a style of play that you want and make signings around that

The 'worst' part of the Mowbray appointment for me is the hope it gives. That will make the next few months more nerve racking and relegation, if it happens, even tougher to take. I won't hold Mowbray culpable in any way for relegation if it happens but it is just another case of 'what if'. What if they had acted sooner, what if they had never appointed Coyle in the first place.

Under Coyle I was bereft of all hope. I never believed from the minute he arrived until the minute he left that he was going to keep us up. I was resigned to relegation, and had even come to terms with it. Now, with the change, it injects that hope that will make it tougher to take.

I think Mowbray is a good fit for the club. He has certainly said all the right things and he deserves all our support. If nothing else just because he isn't Coyle. Refreshing to see a manager in a suit stood on the touchline barking instructions to the players from start to finish and being complementary about the club and fans.

If the worst does happen and we go down I hope he is trusted to try and bring us back up, and I hope he has the option to add to his coaching staff over time once he has settled in and decided what he needs.

He has talk sense since day 1. He has tried to put some ideas into place and I'm looking forward to see these further out into place.

I think Mowbray will bring in gk coach shortly as we don't have one and academy gk coach Ben Benson took the GK warm ups.

Yes indeed. Now with the benefit of hindsight Coyle was on his way as soon as Senior was appointed. Leaving Coyle in place during the January window now provides good cover to Senior for not getting many new players in just a not needed striker plus Emnes.

I did say that as soon as Senior was appointed that Coyle was dead man walking. Said this from day 1 When Senior came in.

Leaving Coyle in place? I'm pretty much sure Senior has been trying to get rid of him from day 1

He's way out of his league for a club director..More suited as a second hand car salesman

He's looking forward to cost cutting in the summer and making a percentage at the same time..

2 well known ex players have already made comments on senior

Well he is here and so far has stop Us signing awful players and get rid of Coyle.

Stability lol we're have you been for the last near seven years..

The only thing stable under Venkys is it's a stable decline

FYI managers who have stability always work with there own trusted men long term. We have a head coach with two guys he'd never met before Wednesday

Trust alot of managers do. But Mowbray knew the score with the staff before he took the job. But he accept those terms. So Mowbray was very happy with this.

I have most certainly heard Sutton's comments on Senior.

They are less than complimentary and still in the public domain if you can be arsed to search.

    Sound lad is our Chris.

Sutton is very open in his comments. I dont know if he knews Senior or even met him..

But Senior did get rid of Coyle and wouldnt sign any of his players in January.

I almost fell asleep listening to Mowbray if I'm honest, but he seems a decent guy, determined, and wants to do a good job, we can't ask for anymore really.

I'm more uncomfortable that Paul Senior a youth team coach and former academy scout has been given a seemingly free reign to appoint the next manager of our football club, he's nowhere near qualified to be in the role he currently holds and should not be appointing football managers at Blackburn Rovers.

Thought Mowbray was honest in his interview.

On Senior, he has experience in football in varied roles over 20 years, so its probably more experience than Venkys are actually used to.

what makes you qualified considering some of shocking appointments we made over the past 30 years and look at some of appointments made by clubs in the championship over the past 5 years

You answered your own question.. Senior has control of who comes in and out not Mowbray hence if he keeps us up or not the problems will come

Wish we were a normal club

But let's hope we stay up worry about later in the summer

Senior is director of football and in the end got rid of Coyle..like I said he would from the minute it was announced that Senior was DoF. Said we would appoint head coach not a manager. And we have.

For this structure to work both Director of Football and Head coach have to work together to bring in the players we need and in the style of play we will under the Head Coach. From listening to Mowbray's interview last night he wants us to play attacking passing football and be organised and good positional with and without the ball. So Senior and Mowbray must work to bring in players to fit this style of play. Will be easier to bring this in during pre season and that when I expect we see a proper change of style. At least he wants to give the team a identity and style cos under Coyle it was just go out there and play. No more in most games.

But for the next 15 games its about wins and nothing more

He seems to have a knack of going in were ever and turning it around initially which is what we require at the moment

Come the summer he'll have the off field issue of senior selling players bringing worse In a bit like cov and we all know where that ends up...

For me he's seen it has he can keep us up.. It's a way back into football.. He'll put with whatever for a few months keep us up re enhance his reputation and look for something else

Fail to keep us up... It wasn't His team had Lowe Dunn thrust on him,  senior venkys poison chalice..

    No brainer really for him

Senior selling players? Aint many to sell now. Loans will go back. I would only look to keep 2 of the loan players as Gallagher wont be coming back here due to cost. I would look at signing Emnes permanent in the summer. And try to sign Hoban permanent aswell.

Would only offer new contracts to Mahoney and Guthrie from the out of contract players this summer..would show the door to Lowe, Greer, Brown.

But firstly lets stay up and then we can focus on the summer and the future.

    Brave  new dawn then  Chadster?

    All our problems gone away???

Honest and straight answer No they have haven't.

We have owners that 99% of fans wants rid of including me. They have wrecked our club no doubt about this.

We are in the bottom 3 and we have 15 games to turn it around and stay up. We have a squad that is unfit and letting in too many goals. Hopefully Mowbray can sort this out and get enough points to keep us up.

I want us to be a championship club next season and I will be cheering on my team in all home games and some away games

I'm utterly sick of "giving people a chance". We should be able to sign a manager who deserves more than just a 'chance' from his club's fans.

Mowbray would not have been in the lists of any other Championship club. There is no pride and little in being a Rovers fan any more. We just have to sit down, shut up and accept what we are given.

Two targets: first is three points on Friday and second is keeping us up.

what we should be able and we can do is 2 different things. Lets focus get behind Mowbray and the players in keeping us up.

No Pride? I am very proud Blackburn Rovers fan and have no problem telling people which team I support. I worked with Other Rovers fans, 1 dingle fan, 1 Villa fan, 1 Forest fan and 1 Bury fans plus some Man Utd fans and we are proud to support the teams we do.

The only target is staying up and that's start by picking up a win on Friday

  12. really impressive by Mowbray interview. talks about improving the shape of the side and positioning of the team without the ball. wants to give the team an identity going forward but said the most important thing right now is results. Didn't know Lowe or Dunn before he took the job but enjoyed watching them take the session and thought both were good during the session. He took Graham a side and spoke to him(Video show this) this I think he will be main striker and Emnes off him. Said team is technically good and he was impress by this. Said they need some direction do the players. I think Mahoney will be part of his team going forward.

If by a miracle we stay up, with the way the club is now being ran and cut to death then surely you realise next season we will be the favourite for the drop anyways?

    Why delay the inevitable?

Its depend whether you think that will happen. last summer recruitment by Coyle didn't help the time enough.

Senior is CEO/COO he does everything apart from finance and coaching. He is a twxx.

Senior is director of football and operations. Now we appointed a head coach Senior will now control Transfers in and out.

Rovers needed a strong manager right now who's in full control ......not a match day lapdog and a couple of lackies under the agents watch.

I did when Senior came in he would want his own choice in and it being a head coach not a manager. And 6/7 weeks this has happened.

Does anyone know whether a new goalkeeper coach with come in or with we used the academy keeper coach?

  14. 1 minute ago, Dunnfc said:

Why give him a chance? If he is prepared to work for this circus then he is just as bad as them.

A decent bloke wouldn't affiliate himself with the vile.

    Let himself down big time.

Cos we need to stay up and be a championship team next season. Or do you want to go down?

  15. Disappointed appointment. As I expected he is head coach not manager so Senior will in charge of transfer and be an actually director of football. Hope he can keep us up. Lets hope he can sort defence out. Cant be any worse then Coyle.

On coaching staff, I'm pleased that Mowbray havent bought in his staff from Coventry. Hopefully Lowe and Dunn will be good coaches. Maybe Mowbray wanted them as part of staff. Hopefully he will be ask this tomorrow in press conference.

  16. Need to decide who opens and who bat at number 4? Plus who is going to bat 5 and 7?

Plus is Ali or Rashid going to be 1st choice spinner?

I think Jennings will opener with Hameed at number 3 and Root at 4 with Bairstow at 5. Stokes at 6 Buttler in at 7. then Woakes, Board and Anderson as fast bowlers with Rashid as 1st choice spinner.

  17. 5 hours ago, Al said:

Was that a typo or are you having a dig at Root Chaddy? Personally I would not have appointed him. Not that I don't think that he is a capable captain but we depend in him most matches to score the runs and sometimes the responsibility of captaining the side affects their form. I hope it does not in Cook's case.

A typo. Big fan of Root. He was right choice for me. But I think he should captain of the all lot.

  18. Just now, JAL said:

    If

Yep ability that's what I've spoken about and its average chaddy let's see when Ryan Nyambe boots the ball into the stands from the next attacking opportunity.

Have you seen the league table chaddy next to the bottom Rovers are !

Ive seen most of games he got better and better game by game. Hes not finish article and shouldnt be at 19. Maybe if you watch him live you could give a better opinion..or maybe you are jealous cos he not with your agency with you being an agent.

    Just now, JAL said:

Parsons.... have you ever seen Ryan Nyambe win a header just out of interest.

Plenty. You dont see him live so how can you judge
