  1. The head coach isn't the most important person at the club like Chelsea. They have a structure similar to what we seen in NBA or NFL where the Sporting Director/head of Basketball team operations in the case of NBA teams runs the show and in charge of transfers where the head coach has an opinion but not the final say. Forget managers – it’s the flawed strategy of Chelsea’s owners that is the problem - The Athletic Inside Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea exit: Rotation disagreements, Man City talks and defender woe - The Athletic
  2. deffo wouldn't be playing Tronstad, Ohashi, Cantwell and Baradji for this. leave them at home and not even travelling to Hull
  3. You deffo have it in for McLoughlin for some reasons. I have asked who you picked instead of McLoughlin, no answer. I asked is is Tronstad captain material? no answer. I asked what is a natural captain these days in football? no answer. I leave it there as this is the Transfer thread. same old you RF99
  4. I just give up if you are avoid answering questions Taarabt was captain in the promotion year under Warnock
  5. Wouldn't surprise me if United approach Maresca for the Man Utd given he knows Wilcox and their CEO from his City time
  6. top 3 run scorers in the series are Head, Root and Brook
  7. Its a great question, The honest answer I don't know. Maybe other people who have similar thoughts and opinions to myself could come up with something that I can't Think you made some very good points there tho.
  8. if you are talking about Hyam, people didn't want him as captain. People have short memories. Wasn't Wharton second in line and the right vice captain. is Tronstad captain material? McLoughlin got the armband cos he was the most senior player on the pitch, so who should have got the armband then? I was the first to mention Cantwell becoming Captain even before he did. I mentioned what Warnock did with Taarabt as captain. what is a natural captain these days in football? I made I have said already on here, we need a number of signings this window
  9. After ending his comments last night about Wilcox and the hierarchy, the writing was on the wall. He has been those comments similar for the last 2 weeks. Wilcox wouldn't have the authority to sack him on his own. That decision has been made at the top by the 3 key people. I do think he wanted sacking. He wanted signings this window and they didn't want to make major signings this window above him If I was United's DoF I would be going for Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola
  10. I take it his best spell was Norwich under Farke? Yes, I think at the start of the season he was playing better but he is least of our problems. His cross yesterday for Baradji's goal was perfect for him. The last few games he has played with an injury in my opinion He is our best player. Plus what we dont see publicly is what he is like in dressing room or with younger players. So who should be captain?.
  11. Brilliant strike by Reed yesterday for Fulham
  12. Cantwell is the best player we got, yet he gets over criticise by people. His pin point cross straight onto Baradji's head for the 1st goal yesterday He has 4 goals only 1 was penalty Birmingham's goal was a right foot volley from edge of the box Hull's goal was a left foot shot curled in the goal Swansea's goal was a header. The Oxford goal was a penalty. He is least of our problem. 15 games, 4 goals and 2 assists. His quality is there to see. He worked out, yes a moaned at times when he think he should have a free kick but he has step up this season
  13. Its clear that the role of head coach within their footballing structure and he is there to coach the team and design a tactical plan to win games. Similar to the approach in US Sports like NBA and NFL. With a limited amount of say in recruitment There is a couple of articles on the Athletic website about their structure
  14. yiu told me similar thing over the last couple of days so why keep posting the same thing. You have your opinion and I have mine. we don't agree, so just leave it there
  15. Yes. Strasbourg are owned by the same ownership group. He was being primed for it and now is his opportunity. Big Opportunity for him.
  16. That's your opinion. A striker is the main priority for me. Ohashi is our only striker and we need to rest him for Hull fully aware of his comments thanks RF99
  17. I understand that Powell has been the standout. I hope he gets his chance on Sunday at Hull is Joseph fit? Its the only thing I can off why he hasn't been include the squad?
  18. number 1 priority this week has to be striker in. We can't play Ohashi at Hull in the cup. He needs a rest.
  19. I think having 2 attacking players in Cantwell and Baradji behind Ohashi was a big improvement compare to the last 2 games. Think Miller and Pickering did ok as wing backs. De Neve gives 110% whilst defensive not convincing. Think Miller did ok today but its a role he plays at International football. Tho I can understand your point on the formation tho. I thought Tyjon should have come on instead of Henriksson tho
  20. It was done pre kick off after the 150 cap presentation to Kevin Gallacher and Colin Hendry
  21. Who was sat next to him on his right and left? Couldn't make it out from my seat in BBE
