  1. He's 28 years old now and he played the last Ashes series down under. Played 4 test. Average 10 over 8 innings. I would be tempted by giving Durham opening batsmen Ben McKinney his head now. Supposedly the next big thing and bring in Jordan Cox at 3 perhaps
  2. But his bowling isn't that England batsmen should fear. He's no Glenn McGrath or Paul Refifle. The top 3 batsmen used of footwork is very poor. Pope appalling shot, not at pitch of the ball, Duckett did his feet move to Lyon, Crawley not in position to play a defensive shot
  3. I take another Michael Vaughan or Ian Bell or Jonathan Trott at 3.
  4. Probably tomorrow, normally does it on Friday if its Saturday home game. External ones? Just BBC radio Lancs I would imagine It's will be only BBC radio Lancs and Rovers Tv there.
  5. I'm similar, I don't watch enough. I think the County system and structure when we play our first class games. We need quality over quantity
  6. Is Boland that good Gav? He swings into you and Keeper stood up, isn't that something new? Maybe we should have taken Woakes or Cook? We havent replace Anderson and Broad in terms of quality but also hitting line and length. Lynn always like to take a wicket early, when he doesnt, he goes searching more so why not play on that. Pope's dismissal was stupid..
  7. Is the County championship of good quality? Does it provide good players? If you look at the top 3 batsman county championship div 1 run scores, its 3 players who couldn't perform at Test level. Are younger batsmen knocking the door down to say to National selector Luke Wright and head coach McCullum pick me instead? I think the County game need restructuring to produce better quality but better players? Like why are playing Cricket at County level in Early April, late September and October
  8. Why couldn't their do catching practice on the bench? What's wrong a couple of hours practicing batting and catching practice then rest on a bench before session of catching on the bench for a hour. Sounds fair and reasonable to me
  9. I'm not disagreeing with you over McCullum and the staff. I think our pre test series preparations like a couple of proper warm up games were wrong. I think Vaughan, Tufnell, Botham, Lloyd have slammed that decision. You can not go to Australia and not prepare correctly.
  10. Is ripping up again going to change things, would Pope or Duckett play different under another head coach? I'm not unsure. They played that way and I don't think they can play different. Maybe, the lack of accountability is because Stokes and McCullum think these are best 7 batsmen in county cricket and we don't have players knocking on the door. Would a Dom Sibley or Hameed been better choice than Pope. Should Bethall play even tho he hasn't even got a first class hundred? maybe we need to restructure the County Cricket to focus more on quality or quantity?
  11. Team mentality? Stokes digged in and show some character. Only can do the same?
  12. Nacy's nightmare just continues. What was they thinking when they appoint him?
  13. Where is the foot work from Pope and Duckett in their dismissal? Nothing. Crawley, Root and Brook got good deliveries but could their footwork been better? Probably in Crawley and Brook. Stokes dig in and show strength and character to fight. My biggest questions are:- 1. Are their better batsmen knocking the door in county championship? Top 3 run scores last season were Sibley, Hameed and Lees, who had their chances at Test level and failed. So are players like McKinney, Haines, Bethall ready to step up and coming for those 3? 2. Is it time to bring in James Rew as the main keeper and bat 7? Only 21, but performances like last season, surely it only time with Jamie Smith moving up the order? 3. Did we pick the right bowlers? You look at Neser and Boland playing and you asking if Sam Cook or Matthew Fisher should have been taken to Australia? 4. Why didnt we asked for minimum of 2 warm up games before the first test? What changes would you like to?. Change Captain? Change McCullum? Change which players? Can I ask anyone on here, does anyone watch any county cricket? If so, anyone stood out?
  14. Thanks for sharing. I know NBA tickets are expensive as I looked into pre covid and they were too high for me. Lakers NBA tickets are expensive anyway
  15. I'm going to leave the thread now for while and let you guys get on with it. I've posted my views on the issues and why I will be Ewood Park every home game and won't boycott games. That's my choice whilst I fully others who will others choices. @StHelensRoverI ain't a club plant just for the record. I'm just a diehard passionate Rovers supporter and STH who want to support the players and team. Anyway like I said I will leave the thread for a while and let you guys get on with it.
  16. Firstly, RF99, @RevidgeBlue and @lraC , I don't consider myself any better than any other fan. Yes I am diehard passionate Rovers fan who loves and breathe Blackburn Rovers every single day of his life. I'm sure everyone else is similar. I asked you some simple questions which yet again you have chosen to ignore and not answer but then expect others to answer your questions. Maybe have a think about that My stance is very clear and straight on all the issues. I respected others who make their own choice for the own situation, whatever decision or choice they make should be fully respect, not moan or complained for making their own decision on what they think is right for them. I never said my non-buying on the concourse was my protesting but me making a choice not to buy based on the options available. That's my choice. I fully aware of what the coalition points are and what they want supporters to do but it is still down to that supporter to decide what they want to do which is personal choice. If Supporters choose to not do as the Coalition has ask for that is down to them and what their choice. It isn't wrong and people shouldn't be made to feel guilty over it either.
  17. I fully respected your choice Josh as I do with other people who made a similar stance over the years including what were good friends at the time. As I said it's a personal choice for everyone
  18. Who is the better keeper between all 3 of this? what qualities have they got each of them and would any be ready to step up for first team in a couple of years time?
  19. Not all. I made choice 2/3 seasons ago that the food and drinks options available arent to what I want so I go elsewhere or bring my own food.
  20. Who says they are stocking fillers presents? Some parents will be buying shirts/kits for their children as main presents plus other things like hoodies, etc. You cant expect and shouldn't expect people not to buy them
  21. What about people who want to buy presents for children/family members? I've not bought items like food and drinks down to the options available and price on the concourse for 2 or 3 years now. Instead I buy from the burger van behind the club shop.
