Not that an easy group. Yeah Saudi Arabia are poor and was an easy first game but Uruguay are an excellent side and I echo others who have them tipped as dark horses.Egypt arnt a bad side either and have more than just Salah.

I would say England's group is just as easy.Cant say I know much about Panama but you wouldn't expect them to be up to much.Tunisia and Egypt are similar I suppose but Tunisia don't have a player of Salah's standing. And Uruguay and Belgium are of similar quality although imo Uruguay are the better of the two

Belgium are far better than uruguay..aside from their front two i dont get the hype over them

If you look at the seasons theyve both had, in terms of actual output, comparing 2 incredibly promising talents, youve got 1 who is delivering regularly and one who for whatever reason has yet to fully show his raw talent into consistent goals and assists.

Well one has only turned 20 the other is 23..in time rashford will be a world beater..if he leaves utd

The time to Greece 04 would have been back when we had a decent defence.

Though, that's the type of team, formation and tactics England should be striving for in the future as we become ever increasing 'minnows with half a chance'.

    You mean portugal 04

England will have a decent world cup by recent standards until the second knock out round when they face either Brazil or Germany. Both are beatable by England but won't be.

For once unless Colombia show hidden capabilities, coming first or second in our group isn't going to matter much for getting through the first knock out round.

I expect England v Belgium to be a draw despite Belgium being comfortably the better side.

Agree on paper..dont think belgium are that much better..lukaku is overrated.had a poor domestic season at united..their defenders are injury prone..admittedly de bruyne hazard and cortouis are world class..if we can start with ali, kane, sterling and rashford we can give any team a problem

  5. With the world cup coming up i was just thinking of all the players who never quite made it with england (or any national team)..those that never fullfilled their potential

Stan collymoore had imense talent..great physique..pace, technical ability..he won 2 caps

Matt le tissier..what a waste, hoddle was too pigheaded to take him and gazza..never see an english player with his ability again..2 caps

Robbie fowler won alot more caps but criminally underused..born finisher

Matt jansen..total waste of a genuine talent..he should have gone to the world cup.

Andy cole..another who should have been a regular

Ravel morrison..what a criminal waste of ability

    Are there any more?

Sorry but this is an oft trotted out and really meaningless argument.  if Celtic were moved into the EPL they would have hunners of millions of pounds to spend and would have a completely different team to the 1 they have now so any prediction to where they would finish is meaningless.  They would also have a huge worldwide support and a weekly gate of 60,000 so the building blocks would be there to be as successful as anyone else in that league.  Hopefully it will never happen but it's clear that if they moved down south they would be up there challenging within a few years, especially if they got the investment that some others have had.  Not in any way a Celtic fan myself but they would be a huge draw for investment with their overseas reach, way more than  a Man City or a Chelsea.

Dont agree...celtic will never have the level of attraction in places like the far east that city or chelsea have

  7. By the way neither celtic or rangers are anywhere near biggest clubs in the world..they pale into insignificance compared to barce, real, bayern, juve, milan, inter, man u, liverpool.. i would put celtic in the same bracket as feyernord..porto..monaco..psv.. and rangers in the same bracket as spurs..lyon..galatasaray etc
