Imagine if TM left whilst he was doing the best he's ever done. That would be the ultimate shithousery. Stay during in the death spirals and leave when we've found some form

Yes but imagine another don mckay situation.  Dalglish came in took us up. If we got a good manager to finish the job I would take it

Based on last night, I couldn't see any Burnley players being attractive to other PL teams. That Cornet fella is supposed to be something, but he was anonymous last night. Tarkowski would probably be appealing I guess.

Burnley's strength is physicality, discipline and organisation, rather than individual flair or brilliance.

Nick Pope would be one to be chased after

Do you lads want any chips with that salt?

Shame it couldn’t go ahead as the conditions gave us half a shout. Plus side is I’ve got Covid so couldn’t go and now I’ll get to go to the rearranged match.

Not knocking Burnley but u have to admit ur ground is a little bit 'dated'

Couldn't agree more. What good is it to reflect now and blame themselves, when they downed tools and couldn't be bothered when it really mattered?

It always winds me up seeing players apologising on twitter and posting things like "we're desperate to put it right in the next game". Bennett was bad for it. Just bloody do it on the pitch. I'm glad there was none of the social media crap around when we had real players like Tugay, Duffer and co. We were able to enjoy it without any of the false online posts.

It pisses me off when they go to the papers and say I'm so sorry for underperforming.  Bla bla. Could u imagine doing that in a real job?

Yeah I’m sure the FA are happy enough, get to rotate, blood new players, promote U21s, the likes of Kane can improve his goal tally etc etc.

But surely UEFA are the ones that need to look at the farcical amount of part time sides playing elite professional players in these groups… England had four matches against actual amateur teams! FOUR! Yet they are allowing more, Gibraltar being a recent inclusion.

Of course, they should get to play international football, but there is surely some mechanism for it to be done via a pre-qualifying system and/or the Nations League and stop these ridiculous mismatches.

Shame Scotland weren't in our group.  We could have had 6

Neither Loftus Cheek or Winks will ever come close to dominating anything near the biggest of games. Neither are particularly good, especially Winks.

There is something in the methodology of building around our own strengths and minimising our weaknesses, which perhaps leads to a more pragmatic midfield. Bellingham is the obvious break through star although not a typical playmaker himself.

Winks always did a good job for England when he played. He retained possession.  Loftus-Cheek was excellent at Chelsea before his injury.  He scored quite alot of goals for them on the Europa League run
