Mowbray was a very good appointment. He just ran his course.
He was bang average at best. And that's being kind. He relegated us despite having plenty of time to keep us up. Got promotion with probably the most expensive squad in league 1. Then had us treading water claiming we had no right to anything better. Tactics were woeful. Patronised the fan base. The only thing he did right was player purchases but the club allowed players to run down their contracts

You are good at scraping the positives...whereas I see the negatives and failures. I don't want to clog up the feed debating it but I do value your opinion. I am glad he is going because I have been certain for weeks that what is unfolding was always coming.
We can do better than him and one win in eleven is pitiful when you have a guy with twenty-odd goals.
Sort the defending, we stay up. If we don't, down we'll go.
Do better? Since when have venkys appointed any decent managers apart from jdt himself? Do u really think their next appointment will be up to scratch?

Strong rumours have it that JDT will leave the club before the Stoke City fixture. I say good news, his formations and tactics have plummeted Rovers down the table into a relegation battle. Some will disagree, we have had fantastic wins against Cambridge and Wrexham in the FA Cup.
Yes because jdt is the real problem here

Every time rovers appoint a manager who has the balls to stand up to the venkys. He's out. We've had two who spoke their mind. Lambert and jdt. They just want feeble yes men like Mowbray. Jdt was the best thing they did for this club and they've never once properly backed him. Its clear promotion was never on their agenda. Jdt had his faults but he did his best for the club and didn't feather his own nest like Teflon tony. Maggott is a disease that needs stamping out. I hope Saturday he gets full pelters. The oily twerp.

They arnt in denial and they still attend week in week out lol. Better supporters than me if I’m being honest.
Maybe we can split the fan base again huh?
I've always said there's supporters and there's match day supporters. Match day supporters just want an afternoon out of the house and don't care about what goes on off the pitch and supporters care about everything that goes on, on and off the pitch

Didn’t work last time and won’t work this time either. Terrible optics.. upsets fans and players.
More importantly do you honestly believe the Raja’s give a flying…. about a few venkys out chants?
but whatever you do you i totally respect your personal choice.
I just think that we need to be smarter than that.
I was part of the protests last time. Alot of people including myself gave up alot of valuable time that could have been spent with family to try and get the message across. If it wasn't for fans who were in denial things could have worked out differently

I try to avoid Facebook because even though alot are seeing the light there are still those who have their head up their ass

In terms of short term, yes. I think the recruitment team have nailed the signings the manager has asked for on the budget they’ve been given. I also think this means we’ll stay up, potentially finish mid table and maybe flutter our eyelashes at the top 6….just my opinion.
But I am DREADING the summer. We’ve just made the problem bigger, stuck a plaster on it and booted it down the road in my eyes.
God knows what they’re planning but as @Ossydave mentioned…feels like a possible exit? Could get bumpy…
If its because of an exit strategy then it's been a great window. If not its been abysmal yet again. No future planning. Just cheap and not so cheerful. We are in for a long hard season. Bottom 6 is far more likely than top 6

It just all feels off, even for these lot…it wouldn’t surprise me if there were more cuts in the summer. More downgrading.
I hope I’m wrong.
I agree with that part. But did u say top 6? And a good transfer window?
-

Wow!!! I wasn’t expecting that!!
So I think the window is tinged by a number of factors:
The ins - Fwiw, I have a feeling that we have recruited well. O’Riorden is very highly thought of and in McFadz, Fleck (A technician who I’ve always liked) and McGuire we now have the necessary experience and our number 1 striker target onboard.
Outs - I’ve no problems with Trav, he needed to go and in hindsight I’m now kinda glad it wasn’t permanent (we will need him as an option at least in the summer). Selling Ennis for £500k is genius but the sale of Adam is desperately sad.
Here lies my biggest concern. I’ve had a strong feeling that there’s been an acceleration in the ‘managed decline’ since the summer. It was happening before, in truth the evidence shows it’s been happening since they turned up. But the last 6 months are giving me massive alarm bells.
In short, I’m now happy that we’ll win enough games to stay up. With a fair wind we’ll finish mid table and potentially flirt with the top 6. But I’m dreading the summer when we potentially lose a third of the squad? The manager? With little or no money to spend.
Theres a bigger picture at play here…ugh
Uh what?

Technically Fleck isn’t a loan.
Ok a free but will probably move on in the summer

Loans loans and more loans. Fleck might be a decent signing. But it will be back to square one in the summer with a considerably weaker squad. Jdt will walk. Then we'll really be in the shit

The club are not building for anything. They're just flogging what they can so those cnuts in India don't have to put their hands in their own pockets. I've never despised a set of people more than the venkys

Not trying to be antagonistic but if you don't care anymore why are you reading and actively engaging with this part of the board? Genuinely, if it upsets you this much, take a break from all to do with the club. You might feel better for it.
I'm like a drug addict I know it's bad for me but I need my fix

Mowbray's collapse is worse. We were fighting for the top 2 most of the season then had the usual death spiral. Last season we were the closest to a play off position than we've ever been plus a good cup run. Something we never had under Teflon
