  1. Don't get the Freeman link. One decent season in his career to date - doesn't strike me as being anything special. Left Bristol for £350k so they can't have rated him much.
  2. Injury worries come hand in hand with that type of player I suppose. Amazed at how injury free Messi has been over his career.
  3. Got to be honest. He is the most talented winger I've seen seen at Rovers since Duff. Yes he may have to start as an impact sub and there's always the worry with injuries...but we haven't had game changers on the bench in ages. Potential of him and Armstrong would be great to watch develop. Especially compared to some of the **** we've watched over the last nigh on a decade. Won't sign now lol.
  4. Suppose it depends on the player. If he's said he won't sign an extension, it gives longer to negotiate a fee or let it go to a tribunal as they are guaranteed comp.
  5. Because they will be our players! Plus most people would have taken that squad (with maybe the exception of Antonsson) to at least consolidate in 't championship.
  6. There will be deals to be done tomorrow - whether we choose to do them is a different matter. Expecting at least 2 quality signings tomorrow - based on TM comments - hopefully a forward and winger. Get the impression that the winger isn't going to happen though - yet it's the most glaring omission in the squad. The fact that nothing seems to be on the cusp, not so much as a tenuous link - points to a disappointing day tomorrow IMO.
  7. Christ. Under 30 hours to go. We are actively in the market. This place should be riddled with rumour and hearsay!
  8. Not sure but if she was my Mrs, I'd definitely be playing with two up front! No transfer news then...
  9. We will probably unveil them Sat, Sun, Mon...and hopefully Tues, Weds.
  10. Could go either way. Think loans are the back up. If all the apples fall, perhaps we could see 2 or 3 permanent. Tbh you'd think there might be a sniff of one today...surely all clubs know who's coming or going by now.
  11. But as Gary Bowyer would say. You'd give it a right good go...
  12. Same type of player? McGinn is box to box with a goal threat. The American chap likes to get the ball deep and spray it around?
  13. You come out with some horse and trap!
  14. Agree with this. We need an out and out flying winger. Adding height would be great as well big centre half. Nzonzi size CM and a powerful forward.
  15. His forte is slipping in between the front 2.
  16. LT still reporting upto 4 more. On current rumour you would assume we are looking at GK, CB, CM and forward. Not liking the lack of a winger or 2 there. We are crying out for some pace and width.

  18. This link highlights one thing. Rich Sharpe isn't really in the loop with Rovers transfers. Surprised by McGinn and no idea about the American lad.
  19. His disciplinary record is terrible. Numerous yellow cards following a rush of blood to the head. On the plus side he's great at pumping balls into the box.
  20. Never heard of the American lad. Fits the profile though: Small Midfielder Scores once in a blue moon!
  21. To be fair, I think between Bennett and Travis, we have enough cover for Nyambe. Winger and forward essential for me.
  22. Weird. He's effectively ended his career as a first choice keeper. Although you would assume Heaton or Pope may go to one of the big guns within the next 12 months.
  23. Agreed. If he was a high priority, can't see why this couldn't have been done before Villa's interest. Will be interesting to see how he does at Villa. Could be one that we regret. Or not lol.
  24. If this lad from Stanley is good, why are we not in for him?
