Agree with all of that Rev. It was the hyperbole from the club about incomings/budgets/quality transfers etc. I think TM and Waggott were a little overconfident. If we had a plan, it didn't come off. We had a great opportunity to push on and really build on promotion. A couple of marquee signings would have done wonders for our season. Certainly pushed us towards the top half. Feels like that opportunity/momentum has been lost. I wonder if TM is one of these managers who is better operating on a shoe string?

So would you have been happy with a £5 million last minute signing from Forest? Or is that Recklessly endangering the stability of the club?

No. January is a terrible time to buy. Prices are over inflated because clubs know you are desperate. Best wait till next summer.

This I don't get. Take Duane Holmes. If we bid for him 6 weeks ago, would he have turned us down? If we bid on players today, they are probably thinking - sod that, I must be on list K at Blackburn.

But most loans now -if any - are going to be from Premier teams. Clubs with decent players in the championship, league one etc won't loan out players just because we couldn't get our business done. We couldn't even get the mystery City kid - despite us being an amazing place for loan players to come. We will end up with a couple more Rakeem Harper style loans to pad out the squad. Difficult to make an argument that this squad is stronger than the one that finished in league one Really, really poor window.
