Colourising old black and white classics is abhorrent, masterpieces should be left alone. If someone had suggested to me that my favourite film of all time 'It's a Wonderful Life' was to be crayoned in, I would have gone after them with a tyre iron. *Deep Breath* Just seen some of it in HD and it looks great, really really great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ehjtn3YjZp4&feature=related

You're absolutely right. You can't change your team, still remember as a kid looking out of my bedroom window in the seventies seeing the top of the floodlights. My Dad policing the game, letting me and my mates in halfway through the second half when they opened the big doors at the enclosure/darwen end corner. I even remember buying, (yes buying) a 7" vinyl of something called 'aye up, and give as a goal' from Reedys (?) It's still the most recognisable shirt in the league, and our club (whoever's in charge) will still come up with an unexpected win against a bigger club now and then.

Colin I like to look at clips like those, especially seeing everyone standing in the old Blackburn End. Remembering the real sense of belief and gut churning excitement about where the club was going, standing shoulder to shoulder with Liverpool, United, Arsenal etc. Then my stomach always sinks when I think about how we are now, half empty ground, the quietest fans, no money for decent players. Almost a rich man's folly. Two of my drinking friends are massive reds (one Mersey, one Stretford) and they have both said before now 'what ever happened to Blackburn Rovers?'

The A Team is great aswell. Didn't expect it to be any good but was really surprised.

Pies ? Birkenhead market, in the far corner. Steak and kidney baked right there on the stall, dreamy and definitely the best I've ever had.

And for a film that's supposed to be for kids weighs in at around two and a half hours

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun

Knight and Day - chick flick, loads of set pieces with not much holding it together The Hole - not great but aimed at a younger audience Despicable Me - Really annoying, maybe I was tired Toy Story 3 - superb (as you would expect). Few tears here and there The A Team - surprise surprise, fan bleedin tastic. Want to see it again "I think he's trying to fly the tank"

Off to the smoke tomorrow to watch a load of new stuff, in Sony 4K HD Digital on the big screen (not some wanky download Biddy). Inception, Toy Story 3, Despicable Me, The A Team, Knight and Day and (hopefully) the Expendables

Drive through Timperley village every morning on the way to work, terrible news and only 54. Sneaking through the fire exits at 'Georges' years ago found Chris without the head on and got promptly ejected by his minder. He was 'fantastic'. He really was -

On my ipod already. 'Cowboy George' like Johnny Remember Me or summat, needs a few listens before it starts to grow on you -
But they are not in this country they ? Isn't that the whole point ? We'll never reach common ground with you being veggie, but in this country, the humane slaughter of animals has been subject to vast rules and regs over the years. Halal slaughter or Kosher for that matter is disgusting. Subjecting the animal to unnecessary pain and distress while they warble medieval script, and all acceptable becouse of bleedin' religion. Suppose if you have an imaginary friend you can get away with owt.

Watch the clips further down on the right. They don't even stun the poor buggers, dirty b@st@rds.
