  1. Rovers6 will be delighted with the interview Patrick Barclay has in the Sunday Telegraph today with.............Paul Sturrock.I can't do a link but somebody might be able to help.Barclay,of course, is from Dundee and I think he might be a Dundee rather than United supporter.
  2. Not by everybody he wasn't.
  3. Saunders was given the job when another club was interested in having him for their manager. I really don't know what experience he has.
  4. Saunders is first team coach.
  5. Very funny Sam. It's always nice to see you on this site. I guess you can't keep away. It's a shame other contributors don't try and match your humour.
  6. Kendall was signed not because we were skint but because we had a go-ahead chairman-Derrick Keighley.Unfortunately DK died shortly after otherwise we might have gone onto bigger and better things.
  7. Graham Taylor, in the Daily Telegraph said that for the first time since he has been at Ewood, Souness has "hit the wall". He said you can go over it, go round it,or go through it. He said it would be interesting to see which route Souness would take.
  8. It said in the Daily Telegraph that the £38,000,000 owed by Bolton were joint liabilities with the Hotel and offices.
  9. Mihir Bose is usually pretty good with his analysis so I rely on him rather than Mackenzie.
  10. From the daily press it sounds as though the first choice will be for the Arab Leeds supporter to sort out the club. The second choice would be for Leighton. Either way it seems to me that Leeds will probably survive, improve and the fear is they might get above us.
  11. Interseting that neither tactic worked.
  12. Jim-should there have been a "too" in there? I thought Sturrock was a striker.
  13. Didn't the Fulham fans sing the same song?
  14. Yeah but it's nearly all negative stuff.

    Accounts for 2002

It would seem Rovers accounts for 2002 are now available. The highlights of which are Turnover went up from £17.6 million to £38.5 million. Break even trading situation. £10.9 million pre-tax loss because of amortisation changes, most of which appears to relate to the signing of Grabbi and Cole. Staff costs went from from £25,360,000 to £29,734,000.
