is the Luca Toni deal happening or not?

This is from someone inside the club. Luca will not be joining in this window as his demands would break our pay structure. TM and the European scouts (what’s left) are monitoring his situation with the possibility of a January bid.

couple more wins and then i bet Mowbray will be offered a new contract.

.....meanwhile 3+ of our best assets are still to recieve a decent contract offer and will be free to leave for nothing

I can only think of Rothwell and Lenihan that would go for free. The others would have a transfer value.

Well apart from the two corners they scored from. And a couple of chances from corners in the first half. Notice a theme ?

Did you go to the game. I did and yes agree with your statement, but beg to differ. He was not at fault for the goals, from my recollection it was the other young centre half that should have cut out the crosses.

Mowbray is to blame for a lot of things, but it seems very harsh to blame him for a player not fancying a move here, when by his own admission, he hasn’t even spoken to him!

Playing devils advocate, if he was on our radar why didn’t Mowbray speak to him once the fee was agreed? That way we could have moved on far quicker to alternatives. Plus what the fuck is the new scout doing? Still trying to find the bloody fax machine!

I’m boycotting paying £32 plus a £3 Swag tax if that’s an answer? Unfortunately I’ve backed myself into such a corner complaining about it that I’d look terrible if I then paid it!

Pay it, better still buy a season ticket and come over from the dark side. I don’t agree with the three stooges but Rovers are my life and I’ll not give them up.

A perfect game for Tesco to reduce the gate fee to £20 and £10, bit of momentum,  teams doing OK    early season get a bit of excitement in .......£32 what a cock.

They use the same model as all clubs. Maximise revenue for a single game rather than increasing the fan base, and increase the seasons revenue. It’s no way to get lost supporters back through the gates.

We're there size 10 bootprints all over the grave from where Waggott has attempted to trample all over Jack's legacy?

Thanks for everything Jack. Words can't express what you did for us.

Some of us will do our level best to try and prevent Messrs. Waggott, Mowbray and Venus from dismantling the wonderful infrastructure you left the Club

I know what you’re saying about the three stooges, but my anger is to Jack’s family for never being bothered about his legacy to the club and town. They just wanted their thirty pieces of silver. Fucking bunch of Judass’.

No relevance? He played at a US university with Rovers signing him after he played a few seasons n the MLS. He wasn't the finished article by any stretch when he left New Zealand.

He was 21 when he left New Zealand. How is that no relevance? He did not come through their youth set up. Although not the finished article, to say he is the product of their youth set up is stretching the point. How do you know he wouldn’t have made it if he didn’t go to the US? Chris Woods has had a very successful career and didn’t need to go to the US.

One of Rovers best ever players was American. Ryan Nelsen played their for a few years too. The MLS isn't the Premier League but it is a decent standard of football that is getting better.

Just to clarify Ryan is A New Zealander who started his footballing life at Christchurch United. So no relevance to the debate. I’m still to be convinced at the American model. They’ve had no success in the last 20 years that they’ve operated this model. Rich kids make up majority of places, not the talented.

My problem really isn’t with Mowbray I think he’s done a good job with the development of our younger players as well as bringing stability to the club when it was manic and got the owners to trust him and see what the team could become and although controversial I believe that with a different CEO he potentially could have the club in a better place than it is at the moment.

sadly as a younger fan I was either too young or wasn’t alive to see the club in a better place and can only remember the last decade that has been like a rollercoaster. However believe that the owners of the club do care about the club and the support that they have shown not only in the past year throughout the pandemic as well as backing us with the funds for two big money signings and with a better CEO again could have put the Club in a better position.

when we compere ourselves with other team ranking 7 in attendance out of 10 with the other teams below having smaller stadiums you have to think without a change somewhere at the top of the club tree that it is only going to get worse year by year with waggott trying to compensate for dwindling numbers with higher prices it has really showed that he doesn’t know what he is Doing and the fans are starting to lose hope with the lack of plan and communication from the club

if we look at Brentford for example who have looked at players across the world and have staff such as directors of football ( Which could potentially ease the work load on waggott )and could help us make signing to make us competitive without spending as much as we would with players from the prem who cost considerably more than players from Europe but without another key member of staff in a European scout and the lack of urgency to replace him I doubt that we will be making many signings from Europe which could be cost effective such as kaminski who came for a low Price an won player of the year.

to put it bluntly lack of new ideas in the backroom staff ,wild and clueless negotiations and clever spending, for example spending 5 million on a Southampton youth player when we could bring in someone at half the price from Europe and still have the funds left over to buy other players who we could get on the cheap like Brentford I really don’t see the situation getting better for the club and the fans which hurts for someone who has never really had  the opportunity as a sort of grown up to see Ewood packed and rocking and without a change soon it looks like I might not be able to see it in the near future

For a young man you have an old head on your shoulders.
