Get ready for the late goal.

Absolutely dreading this game. We are likely to be humiliated again.
The question will be "can we recover for the games that are left".
The sooner this season ends the better. Why oh why do normally sane men and women put themselves through it year after year with no recovery in sight?
Pure masochism. If we get relegated I think I'll be letting go. Sick of waiting for things to turn around.

Sheff Wednesday v Stoke on Saturday. If Sheff Wednesday win that not fancying our chances the week after.
We want a draw there, preferably 0-0.

We’re on too much of a knife edge to start bickering internally but when the season is over I’d like to hear some straight talking. Given we haven’t much of that in 14 years I’ll probably be disapointed.
Time for the Trust and the Fans Forum to really let fly at those responsible when they get the chance.
Make it clear where we think things are heading and what is needed to take us forward. No time for letting Venkys off.

On the flip side I would argue that thanks to JDT's work until December that's the reason we'll stay up.
Won't be much to do with this bloke who has 1 win in 12.
I see both sides of this argument even though they are mutually exclusive!

Szmodics will not be here at the start of next season and JRC is a crock! But I’d add Pickering and Wharton to the list of decent championship players. Other than that we are not up to it at this level.
The Raos have allowed our squad to become weaker in every transfer window and now there is practically nothing left. I’m with you - there are very bad times ahead.Carter?

Last 3 games---W 5-1 away, D 0-0 home, L 5-0 away.
Against Sunderland we had less possession, against Bristol we had more!
It really is difficult to think of 3 consecutive performances more bizarrely inconsistent than that.
Thank God that the other results went our way which simply means there are teams as bad as we are.
A great Club humiliated.

Yep every credit to Luton.
A decent keeper is important! 😁

Really is incredibly tight down there, only 3 points between several clubs, just one victory. Thank God he's tightened up the defence., ironically we could stay up on goal difference---worth another point to us. We do need a result at Bristol, at least not to lose.
Whoever could have predicted that Millwall result? A few twists and turns left yet I think.

No thanks, but I stand by my opinion. Come back in September if we haven't and tell me I was wrong
Surely you can't form an opinion without having a basis for it? As far as I can see you've just got a feeling that we will have money to spend.
Based on recent summers, why would you think that? We know Wharton has been sold, we know there's Raya money but why would you assume we'll see any of it?

if we get travis back and bucko and jrc stays fit next season we could have a mf battle with whos playing trons
You can't make any assumptions about JRC being fit next season. He misses more games than he plays.
When he returns its like having a new signing. He is so good when he does play that I think we just have to accept that's how it is. We are a better side when he plays.

I think we'd have to exceed all expectations of shitness to not hit 50 points.

Call me a pessimist but I don't see why we'd pick up a win out of our last few games- even then it looks like a couple of draws see's us (hopefully) limp over the line. We're a poor side and I'm not entirely convinced we will stay up looking at the fixtures of sides around us.

Poor old Ipswich! After a season iike they've had they would go out to 6th place Norwich if that's how it finishes
They just never beat Norwich..

Fantastic game. Really proud of our performance. Tired towards the end.
A great advert for us that day. So creative.

We kept blowing up in pressure games. That’s been going on for a while now, before JDT. So I think if we had have got into the play offs the same thing would have happened.
We didn't bottle the big Cup-ties though?

If those 7 players had constantly been available during JDT’s last 11 games, does anyone really think we wouldn’t have better stats that what is posted there?
Plus it again desperately includes the Stoke game to prove, err, I’m not sure what. That Eustace’s run is better than JDT’s worst run across 19 months when we had a massive injury crisis?I don't think Hedges will ever be constantly available, Nor Gally. Nor JRC.
That was the problem for Tomasson, a thread -bare squad. Forced to send out boys to do a man's job.
Eustace has been fortunate in that his arrival coincided with the return of valuable players.
Let's never forget how Tomasson was let down time and time again. In the end he'd had enough but they wouldn't let him go and held on to his contract until the situation was impossible.
That's the truth of it.
He was the best appointment since Big Sam but he was conned into believing there was a project for him to lead.
That doesn't excuse his treatment of Wharton over the Burnley game or his stubbornness in insisting on a style of play his squad wasn't up to.
But look at the performances in the Cups--a sense of pride and optimism. We hadn't see anything like that for years. A razor-blade width from reaching the play-offs in his first season with us.We were an exciting team, other fans than Rover's purred over our performances.
I'll look back on his tenure with great fondness. Reminded us what a great Club we are.
In the end, like everything they touch, it was brought to an end by Venkys.

I genuinely think Man City are dreadful to watch - they just have such ridiculous players that it works.
Southampton (and Martin) are trying to be a Poundland Man City.
Premier League is mostly like watching chess these days.

Just about doing enough to scrape over the line and claim the achievement of survival.
HERE'S THE RUB: We are going to lose our top Scorer this Summer,Im sorry to say but amidst the Euphoria of drawn games without major investment (dont make me laugh!) we are set for another Season of struggle and angst.
Rinse and repeat.
This is what I fear too. We avoid the drop and go bonkers celebrating on the last day of the season.
Then what? The problems start all over again.

Plymouth still have Rotherham, Stoke, QPR and Millwall to play
Surely we can't lose there?---if Plymouth were to win any of those games it would push one of those clubs nearer to the drop?
If they don't, they are down.

Just looked at all the fixtures,
id be worried looking at Plymouth, millwall and qpr’s run ins.
still loads of games between each other to go
if I could pick 2 to go it would be Birmingham and HuddersfieldBirmingham in the worst form of anyone. The club most likely to slip into the bottom 3 at the death. I hope!
