  1. No. it has to be in line with what's the going rate. As a Conservative surely you believe in the law of supply and demand? Don't pay adequate salaries and your staff go to someone who does. Lose Wharton and Carter, as we will, and the slide will be on.
  2. Funny how so many of our better players want to be somewhere else! Taking coincidence a bit far aren't you?
  3. A cause for celebration?
  4. The Rovers fans didn't seem as numerous as usual? Is that fair comment? Any particular reason? I always celebrate when we win, I know of no other way. But the reality of where we are heading soon comes back to haunt me.
  5. We'll be in deep trouble the minute that Wharton and Carter get injured and nothing is more predictable than that.
  6. Obviously worth more to the clubs that signed them and that's all you need to know.
  7. Because we sold quality. Not much of that left.
  8. We'll have to sell the whole team to pay that.
  9. At some point, sometime, we'll have no-one worthwhile left. Anybody any good will want the going rate. Rovers don'r pay it.
  10. Well having lost 0-8 at Chorley it doesn't look likely.
  11. The" new approach" has nothing to do with football and everything to do with a tiny transfer budget.
  12. Get promoted and the rest takes care of itself---a point clearly missed by our beloved owners. The only plan worth having. How did the team "run out of steam"? After a collapse we rallied to finish 7th. On a good run at the end of the season.
  13. Can't believe you wrote that. Don't you think those things matter? If he bullies people, enforces his own moral code on them and shafts anyone who crosses him, don't you want to know? Wouldn't you include these matters when considering whether he is the right man? If what has been alleged is true he should be sacked on these grounds alone. We used to be a happy family club before these morons turned up.
  14. We had an obvious priority at CB once we "lost" Baath and Hyam but, as usual, we haven't treated it as an emergency and addressed it as quickly as possible. Once again scrambling about in the dying embers of a disastrous window. This lot never learn. Should have kept both---obvious.
  15. In simple words, the contract they signed contained an NDA arrangement so that can't tell when they are players and it would cost them to break i when they've left. You're not making sense. In any case they have a new club, a new future to look forward to , (thank God we're out of it).
  16. Didn't. Just pointed out how illogical you are. And I've finished! not carrying on this crap all day.
  17. We haven't performed OK because "certain players" have left. Not surprising because they were the best ones! And I know you think results will start to get better, you keep saying it, but that's the triumph of desire over reality. No evidence for it.
  18. Who said otherwise? Merely illustrating how rubbish they are.
  19. So you're shifting the ground now. You're going to judge Rovers not on performances on the pitch as you said you would but what you think will be the performances on the pitch sometime or other! Absolutely ridiculous.
  20. Come off it. If a contract depends on it and there's nothing better in the offing, what choice does a player have?
  21. Remarkably ungenerous view of Glen's work over the years but if you're judging the club only on what happens on the pitch, your views would converge wouldn't they? Its a shit show.
