150th Anniversary kit/celebrations
47er replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I'm assuming Rovers commissioned an author to write the book but retained control over what was in it and what wasn't? There are some "tricky"areas for Pasha and Co from recent times. I can't see them allowing free rein, not in their DNA. -

Overall I'd agree that Hedges has disappointed but he has played better this season in a role he's more accustomed to. -

The main point coming out of all this is that the Club is circumventing the rules established by law which enable/enforce genuine dialogue between supporters and their club. The Fans Forum is an anachronism. it invites those it likes to join it. It has never had any dialogue with supporters, it has become a little clique for those who believe they are special and who regard others as irrelevant. It sees its function as to continue its special relationship with the Club's admin and to prevent genuine dialogue which it regards as "rocking the boat". In the words of Oliver Cromwell: "You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go.” -
He did have plenty of clean sheets by my recollection but that was more down to the defence than him making saves. He can make good saves, his main problem is indecision, he just doesn't know whether to go for the ball or stay on his line, so he ends up doing neither. He won't be a catastrophe but Toth definitely has won us some points by making spectacular stops. Given that we don't score many that has been important

Forum should be disbanding and insisting that an open elected system is required for a new body. -

I was as critical as most at Ismael early on but we can't deny that the lads are playing for him. Whether he has the resources for a whole season is a different matter. The games come thick and fast in this League. -

150th Anniversary kit/celebrations

Our 150th anniversary is going the same way as everything else this club attempts. Same, done well it could have brought us together a bit. I should have known. Codename Operation Damp Squid. Are they still going ahead with that legends game after the match is finished? Everybody will be off home especially if we lose. -

Its supposed to be a 150 years anniversary not another excuse for the Club to scam a few quid off the supporters. -

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
47er replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Its amazing that any fans can judge Rovers week to week on football results. The long-term trend in every aspect of the club is downward. In the long-run we want a club for our future families to support and continue a hundred and fifty year history like we have. We won't get that with Venkys. -

Do we ever beat Bristol City away? I remember Kean's team doing it in our first season after relegation from the Premier League. Some crazy score as I recall. 5-3 was it? Actually I manned up and googled it. We've played them 10 times at Ashton Gate and won 3, lost 5. -

Well said.( Like button not working!) -
I've loving the fact (hope) that for once neither Celtic nor Rangers are assured of the Scottish Championship. Been a while!

We plebs don't have the right got even know if it happened. Its called the relationship between the Club and the fans. -
Quite the reverse in fact.

I thought we did that first half! "Its only Armstrong, he'll miss!"
-
Bad news indeed but totally par for this lot of looters.

It'll be any player that another club wants and is prepared to pay for. Anyone. Their value to the team is of no significance.

Toth! Such an improvement on Pears.

You think they stayed away because he urged them to? Bit far-fetched.
