  1. and 2 of them away. I''ll take that in the circumstances.
  2. Make that 314 for 9. Hartley out. Century from Anderson and we'll be OK.
  3. 314 for 8 now. Big lead for India. Wood and Hartley in. As for Root---what an idiot.
  4. The right people wouldn't do what Venkys wanted them to do.
  5. Brilliant start from England at 33 for 3 but Root missed a chance in the slips you'd expect him to take which would have made it 49 for 4. India now 310 for 4.
  6. That's obviously the plan. We already have Wharton's replacement---its Buckley.
  7. Its not a certainty till its mathematically impossible for us but its not looking good.I wouldn't bet against it at this point unless you gave me daft odds.
  8. Knowing how last season finished and how Mowbray's side finished in his first season with us, I can see us being relegated on GD! Its fate I tell you!
  9. When you look at the players we had when Mowbray was manager how on earth did we never even get into the playoffs? He made some great signings but hadn't the ability to use them. We can only weep now at the talent we've lost (and the woeful replacements). We're heading in only one inevitable direction with tis thread-bare squad.
  10. We keep signing players from the likes of Crewe and we end up like Crewe, Just a matter of time. Southampton playing Hollis-Bells,Armstrong and Rothwell and winning.
  11. I don't know but he bought some dross at inflated prices and got us relegated.. Sacked before that happened of course but we were really let down by him.
  12. Used to be a great shopping centre Preston. Another northern town gone to the dogs.
  13. When we were good, we were exhilarating. But we couldn't keep it up for 90 mins (neither can I!) and we inevitably ran out of steam with inadequate cover from the bench. That's why we couldn't close games down and every manager knew it. Guess JDT was guilty of trying to play champagne football with Thwaites players. Some wonderful moments though and I think he'll do well with a better squad.
  14. I think he's an important member of the squad now and I'll be livid if he ends up another one running down his contract. We can't keep pay League One wages and hope to keep players of championship standard. After Saturday's game, I hope put paid to that "no end product" theme that was running a while back!
  15. How the hell can "set piece specialist" be a well-paid and full-time job? World's gone mad!
  16. I haven't had any problems and I use a MacBook Air. Also the instructions to remove the cookies for Brfc , as explained on here didn't work so. I just googled "remove cookies from individual site etc' and followed that. Any way well done guys, hope you clear it all up.
  17. Sort of. But there are chances like Gallagher had yesterday where he should have scored but put it wide. That wouldn't be on this list. I'd have expected us to be lower than we are on table above tbf. Thanks for going to that trouble.
  18. but has nothing remotely to do with Blackburn Rovers.....
  19. Interesting---good post. Only 2 of the top ten on that list doing well. 2nd most touches for us and we've conceded the most goals apart from Rotherham and they are bottom. (57 versus our 56!) One stat that would be so appropriate for us would be the number of chances converted as against those created. Bit subjective, that's the problem but I reckon we'd be bottom!
