  1. Sunderland must be absolutely gutted at that loss after leading for so long. Leeds played out of jail card there. Good for us but I don't really see us catching Sunderland. We might well play them in the Play-offs though!
  2. My thoughts too. So it won't happen.
  3. I must be honest here Len, you've out-obscured me!
  4. Looking bloody terrible. Bad time to find a new coach this close to the end of the season. Eustace did us no favours there.
  5. 2nd lowest spending on transfers after Swansea over a period of years.. 13 (14?) players free to leave for nothing in the summer, including our very best players. We are truly incomparable. As JDT realised before Eustace came. Open your eyes (and keep your promises!)
  6. As if you didn't know!! Both stuffed around by Venkys already anyway.
  7. Sounds eerily like what you say every transfer window! If we all just do that there's no point having a discussion board.
  8. The problem is he has first to persuade the owners to allow them to play for us. Eustace couldn't. (I'm referring to contracts.)
  9. I didn't mind it or care one way or the other. But no doubt that Derby's immediate prospects are very poor. I assume Eustace see longer-term prospects for them which he certainly didn't see for us. We really are an oddity, 5th in the championship but in deep shit all the same. Derby and Rovers are complete opposites.
  10. What? I assume you've forgotten about the Raya, Wharton Szmodics transfer money? Doesn't count eh?
  11. Good hard-hitting article from the Football League Paper on Rovers and Venkys. Maybe someone with more brains than me can post it.
  12. What's been achieved has been achieved despite the owners so "yes".
  13. Quite right---the players are getting on with it and we should too. No more point going over old ground. Looking forward I'm worried the club will sign someone who tinkers (like Mowbray). Let's hope whoever's appointed doesn't overthink it. Spirit of the players is key for us. Interestingly the players don't seem affected by a) no contracts being extended or so many loan players who'll leave. But I am! 🥶
  14. Put a sock in it! Seems like you're on a mission.
  15. I think we can guess! It'll be easier to list whose staying after this season than who's going. And no money for transfers. What manager worth his salt would choose this job?
  16. Preston v Burnley? Hard when you want both sides to lose! I think I would prefer a Preston victory. Its looking more and more likely that Burnley will finish 3rd and will play the club that finishes 6th in the Play-Offs. That might just be us! Imagine that!
  17. Yes true, well-remembered!
  18. They have a personal relationship with the manager, it'll be for one season only and they'll get a pay rise. Not impossible is it? They'll be going anyway.
  19. We will be truly in the shit next season unless (unlikely) we get promoted The immediate future is looking very dark indeed. We are sleep-walking towards disaster. This should be addressed as a matter of urgency by WATR and the Forum and anyone else who gets the chance. What exactly are the plans for recruitment at the end of the season when we lose much of the squad? Is there one? Has anybody asked?
  20. And guess who will we coming in for them?!!
  21. Been on a 2 day bender at Vardy's house apparently!!
  22. I think we could fill a page or two on what they didn't know! And still don't.
