  1. We had to sell him no matter what, so when only one bidder came in we had to take what they offered. Any rational owners would have kept him longer so that other clubs would see what a gem was on offer. Venky poison.
  2. I shudder to think what sort of a season we will have without our best players. Relegation will be nailed on.
  3. who will be hopelessly out of his depth. Don't know what you see in him.
  4. He'll be a very busy man whoever he is!
  5. I'm writing my club's summer transfer dealings off months before they begin because I've read the script.
  6. More possession-based football for us = more goals conceded in our own penalty area. Not up to it.
  7. From LT Comments section: "Draw a line under Eustace, he did what he did well here and now he’s doing it elsewhere too. Who cares. If we can finish top 10 it would be a great season and then it’s on to squad building for next year." Love the "squad-building" bit!
  8. The other point to make is that, whatever levels we sink to, the manager will be here for 3.5 years because Venkys never pay out compensation. Madness.
  9. Look at the state of that wall---tells you all you need to know. Looks like a filthy latrine. No respect from Venkys. Jack will be turning in his grave.
  10. Which makes the 3.5 years for the new manager really odd.
  11. You can dress this up as much as you like but only an idiot could fail to see how much of the brown stuff we are in.
  12. Perhaps they're being paid by results?
  13. Those LT "fans" who ask "what better can we expect with gates of our size?" should have a look at what the likes of Bournemouth are achieving with the stadium full at 11000!
  14. That really is the ultimate in fatuous arguments. Its cart before the horse! The only way to absolutely know whether there are buyers out there is to put the Club up for sale and await the response! There seems to be no end of billionaires willing to chuck money at English football--why would we be less attractive than Wrexham for example? I'm sure that the challenge of saving one of the World's oldest football clubs would attract somebody, not to mention any individual or group who has affection for the Club. The problems dealing with Venkys would be the only potential barrier to a sale. It would be prolonged and messy because Venkys don't give a shit.
  15. People were laughing at Eustace when he left for Derby and started with consecutive defeats. Now won 3 in a row! By contrast we have the worst points record over the last 6 games----4----which we share with Oxford. All for a measly £500,000 in compo. A manger is not unimportant, you can't just replace one with another and assume the same outcomes. Eustace was the perfect fit for us and once again Venkys have let it all slip between their fingers. We have no hope.
  16. Possibly true but we both know our fans won't go that far. I'm trying to be realistic.
  17. I've always said the best way to make our point would be for NO-ONE to turn up. The way we are going we'll achieve this by natural progression at some point! But in the meantime could WATR (or anyone else) organise a smaller boycott so that fans stay outside the stadium for the first ten minutes of the game? Then all pour in chanting Venkys Out? TV cameras would capture an almost empty and silent stadium (I know!) and then hostile fans entering en masse(relatively!) Worth a try?
  18. Yeah, I remember people saying the easy games were coming up!
  19. Until there is no club left to back?
  20. Wear a T-shirt with anti-Venkys slogans on it? Are they going to tear it off?
  21. I can understand that banner would be insistently removed at Ewood but why would the Stoke authorities bother? What's happened to freedom of speech?
