  1. In former days Ash Philips would have become our captain and stayed with us although a regular for England. Instead, this weekend, he will turn out for Plymouth against us at Ewood Park. Just another sad sign of how far we have fallen. I thought our reliance on the Academy was to save us transfer fees, instead its to pay the lekky bill.
  2. Seems to me that they will refuse to sell no matter what and "funding is guaranteed". Which means the inadequate funding will continue to drag us down and down till there's nowhere to go. What a prospect the diminishing band of our supporters face. Absolutely no relief in sight.
  3. The odd win here and there and you stay up. Takes a lot of draws to make up for just 2 wins. That's our problem right now.
  4. The replacements will be cheap though! 😨
  5. He's a genuine Championship player and experienced though. How many others of that ilk have we got? A real blunder that one especially with the games coming so thick and fast and fatigue being such a factor.
  6. They are all massive games. The problem is we win none of them. Millwall, 4 shots on goal the whole game and 1 on target---the goal! We're a mess and it will be a miracle if we survive. Number of clubs below us with a game in hand and only 1 point behind. That 10 point gap that protected us not long ago has been frittered away. We are a shell of a club.
  7. This is the problem with loanees.Thay don't have any relationship with the club other than transactional. Just waiting for the season to end so they can go back to their old club or a different one. Don't show the passion needed to get us out of the relegation scrap we're in. Not true of all but true of many.
  8. LT board very unhappy. Its not the owners fault (they are "generous but naive"apparently but its JDT's! Not fond of us either.(By the way "the vermin from India" bit is used sarcastically in reference to an earlier post which used those words.) ↪ in reply to Stone Island:.. 9. The thing is, they could do it against Newcastle, how come they can't perform in the League? Because it wasn't on tele or something?
  10. Seems no time at all since we were 10 points away from a relegation place and people were thinking we would be OK this season but would struggle next. We are in a real dog-fight now. Is there enough fight left in the dog?
  11. Just sucked the life out of us over a 12 year period. Everythings got worse season by season, apart from the odd blip. Feels like we are living on life support and its just a matter of time before someone switches it off.
  12. Some interesting points in this LT article. For Example I didn't realise that their keeper was off his line for Hyam's penalty and it should have been retaken. That just about sums up the official's night in my view. Apologies if its already been posted, I haven't seen it before. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24150752.shearers-treats-tennis-balls-blackburn-moments-missed/
  13. What gets me is why you're on here? Its a site for Rovers fans not a site to disparage Rovers fans. If so many wind you up and fill you with despair why keep bothering?
  14. Thought that too. A lot of the football was reminiscent of JTD's time. We might have struck lucky for once.
  15. We are not stuffing about in our own penalty area anymore, that's a few goals that won't get scored against us. Aa much as I admire JDT's football principles, that bit gave me the heebee-jeebees.
  16. That shows the affection for Rovers remains strong but its latent. We would win the supporters back on a regular basis if we had even average owners. Here's hoping. C'mn Indian Courts---do your worst!
  17. I thought we got the worst of the 50-50-decisions Arbitro? And how did that handball go unseen and unpunished?
  18. Great performance from the team. feared the worst but we were as good as them. Same old story, not enough class up front to play that final ball in and to convert. Sad way to lose out. Best thing about tonight, didn't we defend well? Hope we have some energy left for the weekend, that's a big worry.
