  1. Seems no time at all since we were 10 points away from a relegation place and people were thinking we would be OK this season but would struggle next. We are in a real dog-fight now. Is there enough fight left in the dog?
  2. Just sucked the life out of us over a 12 year period. Everythings got worse season by season, apart from the odd blip. Feels like we are living on life support and its just a matter of time before someone switches it off.
  3. Some interesting points in this LT article. For Example I didn't realise that their keeper was off his line for Hyam's penalty and it should have been retaken. That just about sums up the official's night in my view. Apologies if its already been posted, I haven't seen it before. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24150752.shearers-treats-tennis-balls-blackburn-moments-missed/
  4. What gets me is why you're on here? Its a site for Rovers fans not a site to disparage Rovers fans. If so many wind you up and fill you with despair why keep bothering?
  5. Thought that too. A lot of the football was reminiscent of JTD's time. We might have struck lucky for once.
  6. We are not stuffing about in our own penalty area anymore, that's a few goals that won't get scored against us. Aa much as I admire JDT's football principles, that bit gave me the heebee-jeebees.
  7. That shows the affection for Rovers remains strong but its latent. We would win the supporters back on a regular basis if we had even average owners. Here's hoping. C'mn Indian Courts---do your worst!
  8. I thought we got the worst of the 50-50-decisions Arbitro? And how did that handball go unseen and unpunished?
  9. Great performance from the team. feared the worst but we were as good as them. Same old story, not enough class up front to play that final ball in and to convert. Sad way to lose out. Best thing about tonight, didn't we defend well? Hope we have some energy left for the weekend, that's a big worry.
  10. We could be very embarrassed by this game. Newcastle have had some poor results recently and will want to atone in front of a big away crowd. If we rest key players we will be slaughtered so we shouldn't let the home crowd down in that way. However I fear the influx of cash from 7000 Geordies will be the only result for us. Hope i'm wrong!
  11. Done by a reverse sweep again, followed by the usual batting collapse. I'd honestly ban that stroke in test matches for England. Reverse sweep on a turning pitch 😖
  12. Agree. Tightening up at the back is the only way we'll stay up. Playing under JDT we created many chances which we couldn't take but it left us open at the back. Not JDT's fault in that he was promised a striker in successive transfer windows and he didn't get one of any quality. Nevertheless he stuck to his idea of how a team should play and would surely have taken us down. Looking back I'm grateful to him for showing us what we could be and for giving us some excitement and a team to be proud of at various points, particularly Cup runs after all those barren years with Mowbray. But right now, I'll settle for keeping our opponents out and getting a scrambled goal ourselves. In short, getting points. At the end of the season, as always, is the time for review, about how we play and what we need. A sale would be even better.
  13. 224 for 5, Foakes to 47. hit 14 off the last over.
  14. !97 for 5 at the moment. Pope 0, Stokes 3. Foakes (28) and Root (66) getting a vital partnership going here.
