  1. He's gone and that's it. Wanted a new contract, which he deserved, wanted the players whose contracts were up to be offered new ones. Owners turned him down. Why would he stay in the circumstances? How come we've lost 2 managers in 12 months? This crisis has been almost 15 years in the making and everything about the club has been dumbed down. Tomorrows game will be a funeral one from our point of view. Feel so sad for the players who have given their all this season only to see the rug pulled from under them. Some people are talking as if its as simple as-- a manager has gone, so what? We'll get another one and things will carry on as they always have. I think a stage more desperate than that has been reached and our very future is on the line. I wouldn't care to be involved in marketing for Rovers at the end of the season, you can't fall all the people all the time.
  2. If you're looking at the timing----surely its the transfer window that's the last straw.? Spending zilch while raking in money from transfer fees. He won't be the last manager/coach to lose it with this crowd, unless we appoint Steve Keane again.
  3. You'll find plenty of mates on the LT site!
  4. Can't see how selling and being free of all this isn't a better way to go! You seriously do wonder why they don't take this easier option.
  5. Not noew obviously but they could have supported him in the transfer market when he needed it.
  6. And the first response was this!! "Roverend1 hr ago User ID: 5471465 Total nonsense Eliot. Given the known financial restrictions at the club how has Eustace not been supported? At least 3 quality players coming through the door in the January window and the best two transfer windows in recent history. The guy took the job on a very good salary and with no major expectations asked of him. You are now writing as though he was promised a war chest and that promotion was a pre requisite. Neither are true so why have you omitted this? This guy has deceived the club and is now conveniently using the clubs known instability as a pretext for suddenly wanting to leave leave and in unforgivably courting an approach from another club mid-season. I appreciate you’re no fan of BEFC but whose side are you on? As a ST holder of many years you’re certainly don’t represent me with your unsubstantiated appraisal which completely fails to address the dire financial situation that Derby are currently in. Where does Eustace state he doesn’t feel supported by the club? This is just a media created ruse. As a reporter you have a responsibility to report facts not subjective opinions based on heresay. As a supporter and long standing ST holder I find your statement to be insulting and very misleading." Last Updated: 5 mins ago
  7. So he didn't realise he had a family when he took the Job?
  8. He was wonderful for us but never had the same success anywhere else.
  9. They were bargains. When Savage broke his leg and the Board refuse Hughe's request to fund a replacement, that's when he gave up on Rovers. I accept that the situation then was as different as could be from the situation now though, which is dire.
  10. That's another manager the Club failed to back. Not new at Ewood is it?
  11. Dyche is a good shout. Don't know if he'd consider us but he would be ideal in the circumstances we face. Wouldn't be pretty but that's hardly the point right now.
  12. More like a steady descent---though pace could pick up from now on.
  13. Another tragedy in a long list of them. How much more can we take? We'll probably not face relegation this season but next season weill be a sad one I'm thinking--- re crowds and points!
  14. We were linked to many players but nothing came of them, as per usual. As for judging success or otherwise, you wrote that you'd only make that judgement on the transfer window once the window closed. Now you've put it back to the end of the season! We can only judge things when the damage is done according to you.
  15. Of course they should but do you really believe they will? After all we've been through?
  16. Equally you could be overthinking it and he's decided that anywhere is better than staying at soul-destroying Rovers. He's done all he could, the owners/admin have let him down.
  17. Probably not. But I'm looking for improvement, not for our name to be even further muddied.
  18. Its a bad look and it won't go unnoticed among players we might be interested in in future. We were once a tight, friendly family Club, now we're run by a bunch of spivs.
  19. 2nd para---that's true, so get on with it Venkys
  20. Have no money at all. Out of the frying pan and all that.
  21. In theory. In realty Venkys will pocket the extra millions to partly off-set their" debts", deny us any chance to stay up and pocket the subsequent parachute money till it runs out. Always back to square 1 with Venkys. (Sorry Biz)
  22. That's interesting because I don't! You've reminded me of Wigan by the way---relegated and won the Cup in the same season!
  23. I think this game will show what a huge gap there is between an ordinary Premier League team and an ordinary Championship team. Based on recent Wolves I think they'll cut through us like a knife through butter. I just hope we come out of this without new injuries. BUT---its the FA Cup so stranger things have happened! (hedging bets there!)
  24. Will never understand why more clubs weren't in for him when he was available cheap. Don't they have scouts? Only Palace interested. Really odd.
