Spin and twist ? Oh you're good ! Just where in that post did I mention I wasn't prepared to do that ? Or where did I mention or quote you ? I just read people talking about comparisons so why the rush to defend yourself ? Oh and by the way why do you only ever usually pop up in or around transfer windows and summer looking for things you assume to be negative ? As for supporting the team I've been going man and boy since 1981/82 so you stick to your limited knowledge of comparisons and levels of support and i'll stick to my rather more experienced version ! Cheers ?

This squad works hard mostly and that helps cover some limitations at times but doesn't over a season but no question they play for the manager and the shirt with the odd exception. To say they are the hardest working side since the Prem winners is pure PR man spin and regardless of budget there's very little comparison between Mowbray and Allardyce and Hughes or Souness whose side tended to work hard and be very robust like their gaffer until he lost interest followed by the plot. TM could however prove to be a lower level version of them if he got us a few top 8 finishes in coming seasons on the budget he has.

Cut the Fury crap to be the best you have to beat the rest, simple. Ring scheming I can categorically tell you he hung onto that with his fingertips after the the roids issue. Mans a cheat, end of. Agree on Whyte i'm a fan of his i'd have backed him 50/50 in another fight with Joshua and he's capable of nailing the other two if he got the chance, including Mr Can't be Hit who regularly goes on his arse and can't even bust up Hw's ranked outside the top 50 but apparently he's the best because recently he survived 12 rnds with Wilder to DRAW ?
-
That's the problem it would surely throw up especially in a dismal run or season petering out to nothing so just some modest gesture might be better. The angle I was coming at it from though was to try and tempt a few more to buy STs who might be in two minds rather than just reward people for buying them or compensate non attending. Best tried and trusted way in these parts is back to the old school heavy discounts for everyone or a pledge/cash back offer of some sort. Always gets a few thousand extra, combine it with backing up the words of some decent signings and getting rid of non contributors and you're on to a winner, in relative terms.

Didn't they say they wouldn't rule out swap deals ? Usually that's a sign of no money and being stuck with some you can't get shut of... Maybe this one could start the ball rolling so who do we send their way ?
-
I'm glad you've posted that it should be pinned then people understand why there's an element of concern as to who we are not being linked with but actually publically courting at the min. Yes it's is early and yes there could be smokescreens and irons in other fires but the vibes haven't been good so far and they get picked up on pretty quick given recent experiences. I'm ok with the budget and ok with an Armstrong type signing and a few good loans but whilst I wouldn't want more Brereton gambles i'm not sure either i'd want the 'flex' going the other way and covering big wages of busted flushes again. We need to be bang somewhere in the middle and as you've pointed out that is the stated intention so there should be some good news at some point..........
-
I could probably only get to 5 or 6 at home guaranteed at the min and maybe 10 maximum and that's 3pm Saturdays so i'm being a bit selfish looking at it like that but i'm sure there's a few in the same position. Price isn't really an issue at the min IF I could guarantee 10 games or more but I can't so a bit of something else might make it more worthwhile.

Starting with the munters first this time then hoping things get better... It's a new tactic, must've worked in smoggie land way back in the day.
-
Exactly ! There was a time it was justified and you can never be sure it won't be again but trying to paint it as some kind of moral crusade now is ridiculous. Nearly as ridiculous as the empty seats every other week when the clubs finally on an even keel again and at least has a chance of pushing forwards. Be great if the CEO came up with something to pack that BBE lower and bring the away style atmosphere to Ewood, said it many times but the BBE end was the heartbeat of Ewood and something a lot of other clubs have lost these days, that traditional end behind the goal. It can still make a difference when it's on form but that is rare these days. Start there Stevie boy and work outwards.
-
That's their choice you pilchard i'm not sure that counts as more committed than those who've bitten the bullet and done both eh ? Then again in your mind it probably is ! I'm clearly on about fixture changes etc and people who might consider buying one but are put off because they know they have to miss games even before the moved ones, man !
-
Basically if you buy an ST but have to miss a lot of games they should perhaps tot it up at the end of the season and either give you 10% off renewing again or club cash points ? Although you don't want to encourage people not to turn up if they can't be arsed but many games get jerked about these days so surely the committed fan is entitled to something back for missing out !
-
Would've fit right in this ownership era ! Hughes didn't get many wrong though so we'll forgive him that one.
-
Good to see Waggot publically stating he's looking at these things instead of the silence we used to have at least
-
Whittingham never been seen since but it fails to mention he was paid up to go so he's probably been enjoying a nice holiday. At times it's like someone at Ewood looks around for players with pay off potential not play off potential - just how many have there been ?
-
All of them, especially when you've been told you are looking for experienced championship ready players although that quote can be misleading without chucking in under 30 !
-
My god that list is terrifying mostly and when we look at the losses in recent years you can just see why they keep adding up, ridiculous. Just reinforces the point of Why gamble on those odds when the wages can be used on something more likely to get useful. It's not building a promotion team it's just plugging gaps again to tread water.
-
Sadly I don't even think that one can be pinned on that scumbag they probably had their eyes on nice commission from the 65k pwk they were allegedly offering. Plus there probably was a 20 mill pound player there if the right club had come in. Something very odd about that transfer but once the wages were put in front of Samba he was off. What a waste, he probably gambled it all away anyway.
-
Forget Samba he's another busted flush and ruined his legacy here by being a greedy barsteward who's move from Rovers summed him up and what was going on here at the time..money money money. Could've had a top move and been a top player that lad.
-
Not exactly darling of the Blackburn end though.. ?
-
He's got a HW fight lined up with Takam I think and is now champion in recess at cruiserweight plus once he's officially stepped up he's automatically mandatory so things could get very interesting. I think he'd have mullered AJ as well the other night though doubt he;s as powerful as Ruiz.
-
3 club rule It's not happening, well not for us anyway.
-
Alf Thornton more like, about the right age judging by the names we are enquiring about. After 2 seasons of sense it looks like we might be in for another silly season of busted flushes, a Venky & friends speciality !
-
We don't need Sturridge, we don't need Downing or any of these luxury players the squad has to carry we just need a good centre half, some steel in the middle, a good striker and some more youthful pace out wide if possible. Needn't cost the earth because they don't really need to be great to be better than some we have in those positions. Players are out there so why waste wages carrying non contributors and why load more risky bods on the wage bill who are unlikely to start every week ? No need to give homes to the old boys network or feel sorry for players who've had thousands per week out the club and given little back. Time to think tough.
-
No surprise at all he's got a fight to promote and him and Wilder have been hanging off Joshuas back for years on that score, Fury couldn't sell out Accy's ground in England and he couldn't punch holes in a tea bag at elite HW level. Crafty sod in and out the ring though i'll give him that. Just because Joshua lost to Ruiz doesn't mean he couldn't nail Fury he doesn't punch from those angles with combinations and power. Like I said all those big guys are more suited to fighting other big guys any decent smaller ones will cause them big probs as we've seen. Having said that Wilder would probably have jumped straight on Ruiz he's the fittest and quickest of the lot, Fury would've kept him at arms length all night and bored everyone silly but won easily. Joshua was naïve and got it all badly wrong and there's never been much room for error in the big guys, Ruiz was about as wrong for him as you can get. Terrible match making by greedy Hearn desperate to please his DAZN USA backers with his golden goose, what a fook up !

I get what you're saying and I think we'll be looking at the freebie and loan market so there'll be nothing moving on that till the end of June, a long month awaits...
