  1. The Rolling Stones - Look What the Cat Dragged In
  2. Fun Boy Three - The Lunatics Have Taken Over the Asylum (I could make I comment about our beloved Rovers - but I will refrain on this occasion).
  3. That’s what happens when you spend all day on the Music Association Thread 😂
  4. Forgot just how bad a keeper Jason Steele was. A nearly keeper - nearly gets a hand to a shot but not quite.
  5. RIP - The Saint. He wasn't in the team that day Jim. This attachment is taken from a Liverpool supporters scrap book. Our team was Else, Newton, Joyce, Clayton, England, McGrath, Ferguson, McEvoy, Byrom, Douglas, Harrison.
  6. Sorry Arbitro, but that last line doesn't rhyme 😉 How about.... Mowbray had a dream To build a football team Had lots of money but he blew most of it on crap In defence we're so slack Still shit in attack We Blackburn Rovers We're flat on our back.
  7. Eater - Outside View (Saw these at the Lodestar about 1977)
  8. The Rolling Stones - Gloom & Doom (TM's possession based, performance related football?)
  9. I can't see us getting anything from this game and interested to see what excuses will be used post match. I think this injury situation of having 11 players out injured doesn’t tell the full story and gives the impression to those outside of the fan base and the outside media that we have been decimated by injuries. If we look at the starting 11 plus Dack on Saturday against Coventry, how many of those would be displaced by any of those 11 injured, by TM or by an overall average person on this message board. Defence – At centre-back, Wharton maybe who had started to play well with Lenihan before his injury, Ayala (never fit to be considered), Derek (regularly picks up injuries and prone to errors) TM may include JRC, who he seemed to rate above Nyambe before he got injured, even though after the last couple of games Nyambe has become Cafu Mk 2 in TM’s mind, having been hung out to dry by him a couple of times earlier. (Hoping to cash in this summer?) Midfield and Attack – Travis, a certain starter when fully up and running. Evans – manager more or less always picks him whenever fit. Holtby (a few good games but always injury prone). Elliott - a certain starter. A choice between Dack and Rothwell, but Dack when fully up and running, a certain starter. Then, it’s either Brereton or Gallagher as a wide forward or fitting Rothwell in somewhere along the line. Armstrong – a certain starter and now showing he is Premier League quality, according to TM, now that the goals have slowed down somewhat, but earlier in the season still had several areas to improve on, despite banging then in regularly. (Hoping to cash in this summer?). In summary, of the 11 injured players at the weekend, only maybe 2 or 3 would be considered probable starters, when fully fit in our best available 11.
  10. “I delegate set pieces to my coaching staff and they’re very very diligent with that”. But not very very good! The more this goes on, I can’t believe how he keeps getting away with this hogwash.
  11. Spoke to my lad after that abject performance and he asked me if whilst watching the Rovers for nearly 60 years has there been a team during that time that have been so utterly clueless with throw ins, free kicks or corners? It took me 0.10 secs to think about that and no prizes for what my answer was. What on earth goes on down at the Village?
  12. Dirty Mac - Yer Blues (I bet you thought you had us all boxed in there Riversider?)
  13. I know this ship has sailed but if he does go soon, we have wasted so much time as we always seem to over the last 10 years
