  1. Absolutly gutted with that, it feels like we've lost and yet again because of the referee. Surely there's something that can be done about it like video replays. Utd's goal has got to show a strong case to stop the 'big' teams cheating.
  2. On Sky sports they were saying that MGP had been signed for an undisclosed fee.
  3. We always seem to do well against the better teams as they don't but 10 men behind the ball and try and snatch a goal. 1-1 Stead What time is kick off?
  4. I watched MOTD2 last night and thought it was terrible. Why was Gerrad Houllier there, he hardly said anything, and they have a resident 'funny man' comenting on things in the crowd and on the pitch. I missed MOTD but hopefully it's better than that.
  5. I discovered Jimmy Eat World a few weeks back. Bleed America and Static Prevails are two quality albums. Also downloaded a few Goo Goo Dolls songs, also good. They are quite similar to the Calling.
  6. Been listening to I Phantom by Mr Lif recently. Quality album seeing as i'm not that big a fan of hip hop.
  7. Listening to Jimmy Eat World at the moment, Bleed America and Static Prevails are quality albums.
  8. Is it not playing to the strengths of some of our best players? Before this tournament, Becks was thought as the best player in the side and so played to his strengths, which is picking out players on the other side of the pitch. Gerrad also has the ability to do this as well. Even though we didn't get through, England have improved under Sven, especially defensively. By 2006 I think we'll be serious contenders for once.
  9. There was no link up between the midfield and strikers against Portugal, hence the long ball. I agree we didn't do enough to win the game, but the goal should have stood, the linesman even gave it! How could the referee have seen what was going on, he was on the edge of the area with players in front of him.
  10. A 10man Brazil team is still a strong team and even though his tactics for the Portugal game were wrong, you can't account for the referee to be so shocking!
  11. I'd say he's been fairly trustworthy, only three competitive losses, not a bad record. I think he'll have got it right by the next World Cup. And Ulrika is too thin.
  12. Drakefyre - they said on BBC that the linesman gave the goal.
  13. You're not allowed to play without your boots. If you look at the replay, Terry has his arm on the goallies shoulder - stopping him from getting to the ball. Thought it was harsh but then didn't expect anything more from a very poor referee. He was in poor in his first match aswell and along with Terje Hauge (who also has been poor in the two matches so far) have been mediocre in an otherwise good tournament for the refs. The referee was miles away from the incident and could never have seen Terry's arm. Plus it was just plain bad goal keeping by Ricardo he let himself get caught under the ball.
  14. First time i've ever been really disappointed with England not doing to well. Tonight's game showed how much we relied on Rooney's link up play with the midfield. Owen and Vassell are too similar to play together, both like running onto a ball as Vassell showed to win the free kick that lead to the goal that was disallowed. Have been very disappointed with Beckham's performance throughout the tournament, he's meant to be in the prime of his career and gave below than average performances every game. Unlucky to be going home, but hope the Czech win it now.
  15. We were robbed by the most blatantly biased refereeing decisions in the tournament. Looked like he'd been looking at videos of how to referee when playing at Old Trafford!
  16. Lmao, as if your taking everything so seriously!! Is quite funny reading some of your quality insults though!
  17. So Raul one of the highest if not the highest scoring player in the champions league will not intimidate defenders? Henry, who almost single handedly demolished every defense in the Premiership this season and Inter Milan will not at least make defenders worry a little bit? hmm Once Rooney is found out defenders will have him in their pockets like the season just gone in the Premiership.
  18. Spain are one of the best teams in the tournament, how can you say they don't have enough quality. Even though they haven't delivered in past tournaments doesn't take away the amount of class they have in their team - Raul, Morientes, Casillas, Puyol, Raul Bravo. Thats 6players that would walk into the England team any day of the week.
  19. Carragher backpass? Were you watching the right game?
  20. I think if Beckham puts it performances like he did aganist Greece and Gerrad plays like he has done all season, then they will pull England through to the quater finals. England are the most over-rated team in the tournament, with a vastly over-rated manager. I think Sven has to go after Euro 2004, some of his tactics are shocking, Lampard in defensive midfield!?!?! Also if he used Waybe Bridge and Ashley Cole over-lapping on the left wing then surely this would solve the problem on the left.
  21. Wasn't there a similar debate about whether or not the player was good enough or that the club showed no ambition when we signed Andy Todd, he ended up being one of the best players last season.
  22. N*E*R*D - In Search Of Lost Prophets - Fake Sound of Progress- Favourites at the moment, the old albums both are better than their new albums although the new ones are still good.
  23. I don't care about payouts, as long as we are in the Premiership next season with a manager that can inspire the players and motivate them to play for every game and not just the big games then i'll be happy. Imagine Souness trying to motivate the team to play Grimsby or whoever when they can't be motivated to play Premiership teams.
