As far as I can tell, this is the one and only ..

Thanks Glen.
Yes I wasn't targeted but sadly you weren't the only one to be subject to really nasty stuff back then.
Thank God your health is holding up.
The Mowbray compared with JDT posts are just willy waving in the big picture of things.
On the other threads, I have posted why my reading is this is a palace coup by Waggott against JDT forcing him out against Venkys wishes.

Just seen that Waggott is reliably reported to have delayed the Adam Wharton paperwork to beyond the deadline leading to Palace being horrified by our unprofessionalism.
Doesn't exempt Venkys from criticism but Swag has exploited their hands off style to his advantage.
The Wharton paperwork story points to Waggott being the villain in screwing up McGuire and probably the two failed transfers last January in a failed attempt to get Broughton out and giving Waggott sole control over everything.
If the Wharton deal failed, fans are delighted to have Adam back, Venkys still pump the cash in in March.
Fan protests would be muted, Broughton certainly goes as the fall guy and Swag rules.

Have to say it is very hard to believe that after last year's fiasco something like that could have happened. As someone else said, Broughton would surely have been double and triple checking everything had gone through to ensure he wasn't embarrassed again. It's his reputation being given a battering if another fuck up happens, in his first appointment as DoF. I struggle to accept he wouldn't have been making 110% sure that everything had gone through exactly as it needed to. It leads me to believe he either talks a good game but is utterly incompetent, or that there's more to this than the club are telling us. I'm not one for conspiracies but it's a question of whether you believe Gregg is an idiot or the club are keeping something out of the public domain. Granted it could be both.
I have posted my reading of what happened/ is happening in the Waggott thread.
This is a palace coup engineered by Swag for Swag own advantage and the McGuire cockup a deliberate move in the game in my opinion.
I wouldn't rule out last year's O'Brien and Brierly mess as a failed attempt by Swag at setting up Broughton so Swag regained control over the football side.

It is all pretty damned obvious.
JDT and Swag relationship broke down.
Became a he goes or I go stand off.
Swag blocks JDT speaking out.
McGuire got blocked in Venkys compound because there is no certainty the Judge will ok the next cash transfer following the Wharton sale.
Ennis sale unblocked McGuire deal so JDT prevailed
So Swag saved rather than sent the registration to screw it up. After last January's cock up, the CEO had to have his finger on a deal as big as this.
JDT predictably melts down
Swag "accepts" resignation saving compensation
Swag tries to get players and fans on board criticising Ennis sale
Swag accepts retirements of Cheston and Silvester
Swag has Suhail on board and Venkys face a fait accompli of Swag last man standing
Greg Broughton isolated and will probably be forced out on pretext of fall guy for McGuire
Swag gets control over the football side again which is what he has run his mouth about previously.
I have no inside
This is speculation
But I can read folk playing politics and setting up a palace coup.

The stunt- and that is what it was - with SW, senior players and fans is an absolute disgrace.

No way do you have a meeting with CEO and senior players without the Manager and the Manager not be leaving.
Absolutely no way to run a football club.
In that CCTV footage, the players looked like they were hostages.
My opinion of Steve Waggott is unprintable.

I have read through the last dozen or so pages and am as confused as I expected to be..
My recollection is that there are rules about who can process the transfer filings to the EFL- either the company secretary or the CEO/Chairman.
So Rovers' save/send story fingers either Silvester or Waggott as the ham fisted typist.
Silvester has been a football company secretary since at least his appointment at Liverpool in 2005 so he is hardly unexperienced in these matters.
I will repeat that Waggott as CEO carries ultimate operational responsibility and must go.

This is on Waggott.
He should have gone over the double screw up last January for being in Birmingham.
He definitely has to go now.
The buck stops with the CEO whose job it is to make sure the systems work.

Well done to the u-21s but they progress on a freak result at West Bromwich.
They are also back within striking distance of 16th in the league table also which brings qualifications for Cup competitions next season.

No matter what the cock up was, SWAG position is untenable.
As CEO with O'Brien on his track record, he should personally have been physically present when the paperwork was being checked collated SCANNED and sent.
I did that with mission critical paperwork in a business of similar size to Rovers and know of no similar CEO who wouldn't have done the same.
This is 100% his personal responsibility.

I accepted the O'Brien nonsense as not being Pune but Waggott failure as CEO.
If as seems likely Pune pulled the plug 9n McGuire, O'Brien has to be revisited.
JDT comments were about Waggott and Sohail. Not Broughton.
I am back wondering what Pune is really doing
What were the betting odds on Rovers getting relegated this season back in the summer?

In terms of man management, PR and the JDT farce we are in the midst of as a result of the window its a catastrophe
In terms of ripping the emotional ties between Rovers, the players and the community, Wharton's departure is horrific and far too soon.
In terms of incomings as always remains to be seen but by the law of averages there has to be at least one gem and one dud.
Ironically, we are back in the hands of officialdom. This time the Home Office processing McGuire. A delay might cover the time needed to get his fitness up from Florida vacation level.
But from what I have heard of the McGuire analysis, he is far from the perfect striker but he meets the characteristics list of what he hadn't previously got in the squad absolutely perfectly. Genuinely excited by this one.

Certainly get the Waggott out chants going.
There isn't a Waggott love in thread going somewhere on Facebook so should be able to get everyone on board with that.
Does JDT have a chant- cannot remember hearing one on RoversTV?
Asking him to give us a wave could have unfortunate connotations...
Everybody will be hyper analysing his demeanour at final whistle.

We paid zero, paid six months of Championship wages, medical bills and slimming tablets, got a goal which contributed to being the odd goal in 7 and avoiding a Walsall upset, made a memorable trap and assist in a Championship game and got sold for 500,000.
Strikes me as break even or slightly ahead for Rovers.

That's an absolute nothing answer?
And what have they actually done to get us back to the premier league?
It's a load of bollocks.
Sorry, for bollocks writing look at yourself.
Where were you in 2011/12?

We stuffed this lot 4-0 away.
That is quite a benchmark to live up to today.

Ok, how are the fans going to demonstrate support for JDT at the QPR game today?

It's a nothing story. Really really poorly managed. Knowing full well the reaction it would have, its baffling the club handled it this way and didn't let people know through official channels that JDT wouldn't be talking. Jackson's wording hasn't helped things either.
No plans on JDT leaving.
Yes horrifically badly managed.
Has to be Waggott's decision and is plain wrong.
No, sorry but having mulled this over I am struggling to find a scenario in which JDT is not leaving.

Not good.
Thanks Rovers for ruining Friday night after having had a very good day.
Rovers have always been heart breakers throughout my life but the last 12 years has been one self inflicted shambles after another.
Of course JDT will not be the easiest person to work with. Driven professionals never are.
But he is a class act in what is sadly a classless club now.

Turning all SWAG for a moment, yesterday should keep us in the Championship without relegation worries.
With Fleck, MacFazdean and Garrett likely to feature, the ice pack and stitches count in the opposition dressing rooms will go up quite a bit...
-
Isaac Hayden linking with Ilias Chair could be serious problems for us.
We should be able to carry on where we left off at Loftus Road but as I have said before, should doesn't equal 3 points.

On the transfer thread
Waggot slowing the deal down wouldn't surprise me.
I believe he was responsible for our drop in form last season, being as leaky as an old fat man with incontinence, when he should have been shielding the squad when we had a chance of the play offs. And of course the buck stops with him over O'Brien which would have certainly got us at least an extra point. A complete and utter bastard.
