Oh I agree - I don’t think GB is either to blame or ultimately responsible.
I expect Waggott to coming out and explain exactly what happened.
GB took the bullet last time, even thought it was clear that the fault wasn’t his.
It’d be unfair for him to take the blame a second time.
The longer the silence, the more likely it is that something sinister went on.
Why in the name of heaven is it not GB's fault? He is Director of Football and accountable as such.
At the very least even if he was not directly responsible for the transfers that fell through, if there was dodgy dealing afoot he has simply gone along with it and been instrumental in covering it up.
Another leech sucking the Club dry.

The Trust/Fans Forum or anyone else need a straight answer asap as to whether we're still going back to Court to request funding on March 12th. And if not an honest answer why not.
Everything else pales into insignificance really.

Yes, it just appears to be a lot more proactive in the technical area, rather than just sitting watching the game.
Which Lowe still managed to do. He got up on 90 mins to stretch his legs though.

Be interesting to know how he is going to approach training over the next week. After a humongous effort over 120 minutes straight into two massive games on Saturday/Tuesday with a horrendous coach trip to Swansea thrown in.
Minimal exertion and work on the tactical side you’d think… flying to south Wales too would help, but considering they won’t even pay the M6 Toll far more chance of 🐖 flying.
He's obviously a "We've got to wee with the willy we've got" (to paraphrase Souness) type of guy so hopefully they'll just get their heads down with no whinging about being tired or travelling on the leased bus and get on with it with the same sort of application we showed last night.

Tonight could be the making of Eustace as Rovers manager, we just need to carry that level of performance into the League and get a couple of victories on the board.
Tonight's game might convince the JDT fan boys to get behind the new Coach a bit more as, let's face it, whilst we all liked JDT because he consistently took the piss out of Waggott and called out all the crap at the Club - he was also taking us down.
I feel a lot more confident after that performance tonight.

My fear too. Gally injured and many players playing for 120 mins. Meanwhile Swansea will have had a full week off. Enjoy tonight I guess rather than worry about the weekend but I think this could come back to bite us in the league.
Honestly, we have 12 games and thirty six points to play for to secure Championship status. Tonight's game won't impact that in the slightest, the only shame is we didn't go through to the next round after such a valiant display.
As someone else said that's now two play off positions blown in successive seasons from seemingly unassailable positions, the Sheffield United Cup game which we managed to lose after winning near the end and this. Sooner or later we're going to try and have to lose the gallant loser tag and try and get stuff over the line.
Gallagher? Wish him no harm but the longer he's out for the better for our prospects.

Szmodics wasn't injured. He had a very unfortunate incident which is very painful!
"He's holding his hamstring. Oh no he's not he's holding something else!"

I'm very unsure about Billy K. Not sure if he looks like someone who's just wandered into a game of park football for the first time in his life or someone who could be a real asset.
He's a real unit though so he might be useful in the latter third of games when others are tiring.
It'll be a real bonus if Markanday can carry on playing like that as obviously SS apart we're desperately short of cutting edge.

My point is. This Is sudden death. Defenders don't usually make good penalty takers. Its OK if its the first one. But the last there's no coming back. Great performance but gone out with a whimper when there are better technical players to take one
Agreed.
Poor choice.

We were superb tonight.
Which Wharton is worth 22m?
Have always said that on form Wharton is by far our best centre half.

Not a fan of Hyam at all. Why was he stepping up when you'd have thought there were players far better suited? If you're going to volunteer, make bloody well certain you score!
That apart great effort. If we can keep Szmodics fit and play with that sort of organisation and spirit we should be OK.

Markanday has actually played really well.

Got to score there Szmodics.
Great ball from Markanday who also produced a great strike before the equaliser.

We've run out of steam completely in ET. Be lucky to get to pens.
Sensational double save from Pears.

Played much much better second half. (I wonder why?)
Were derailed for a period by really poor substitutions but got the goal and got a second wind and finished the stronger.
Deserve to sneak through on the balance of play but we probably won't.

We've been excellent defensively tonight aside from the goal. We look like a proper outfit again to me after becoming a soft touch under JDT.
I feared playing our full team tonight may backfire and have implications for Saturday and the rest of the season. If Gally us out for weeks then my fears have come true. Big risk playing our full team tonight.
Yeah I mean heaven forbid we might have won or anything......

Really disappointed with the manager with those substitutions.
Might as well have thrown a white towel on the pitch and walked off. Before those two substitutions we were competing really well.

Quite bizarre substitutions. The best two players taken off. Throwing the game?

Massively miss Gallagher’s presence up top in a game like this, regardless of what people think about him. Nothing sticking now.
Absolutely no change there then.

Thank fuck for that Gallagher off.
We have a full compliment of 11 again.

Poor game, can't see Newcastle being aanywhere near as sad second half.
Thought Dolan was the pick of our players, Sz.odics looks a danger but should have tried to go across the keeper with the two chances he had.
Buckley is one of the few in our team with the talent to hold his own in this Company but needs to be more involved.
How the fuck Gallagher gets away with conning people week after week is anyone's guess he's an absolute liability.
Be interesting if we make it to penalties. I think the manager deserves credit tonight for making us fairly compact.

What happens after the court case on 12th March is crucial.
That's assuming they bother going back to Court in light of the Wharton sale.

As regards matters on the pitch, I'm not really having it's all Eustace's fault, the rot had set in well before he arrived and there's every chance if JDt was still here we'd have even less points than we do now.
We only have ourselves to blame. Everyone knew at the start of the season heading into the campaign with one of the worst players ever to pull on the blue and white shirt ( Gallagher )as our main striker was suicidal, worse still we could have offloaded him for money in January and brought in a permanent replacement at nil net cost but turned down the opportunity.
We (The Club) deserve everything we're about to get. We (The fans do not)
