Why did we sell him in Jan when we had no midfield options for a lower price.
Also has any given any confirmation on a sell on clause?
Can't believe we sold him so cheap. We must have been desperate, hope there's an extremely meaty sell on clause.

I think they believe that the managerial change does all the work for them, nothing else to say.
New era, look and listen to Eustace, forget about what happened before.
What January window fiasco?
What £20 million?
Who is Adam Wharton?
Nothing to see here folks, business as usual. Issues addressed.
Another few years on the train for Waggott, Lowe and the rest.
Waggott, Broughton Lowe and the rest.

I genuinely think the club wants to shut the riverside. Its reaching such a state of disrepair people will either leave out of choice or it will be forced to close.
Didn't someone say at one point that former head of commercial Paul Fielder's "plan" was to allow the Riverside to fall into disrepair in the hope that it would be condemned and that the Council would offer a grant towards replacement?
With people like him and Waggott running the Club what hope have we got? I don't know where we find them

Not read the rest of the comments....by christ that was a tough watch.
You wonder for the millionth time how dollopers like Hedges and Gallagher have ever carved out a career in professional football.
What was Brittain doing for the goal? He's a bit of a liability defensively.
If we play like that until the rest of the season we're in trouble. We probably needed a change but under JDT at least you felt we had a chance of outscoring the opposition.
Last night we showed nothing.

As I said earlier, don't think we get those 3 points today without the managerial change.
Vital win. Now let's shove Mowbray closer to the drop on Tuesday(?) then we can breathe a bit easier.

No way that happens without the new coach/manager.

That's the strongest our Starting XI and bench has looked for months.
Fuck off tho, JDT, yeah?
That's a dire looking X1 to me.......let's see what happens.

Birmingham now 2 down.
3 defeats in a row in all comps incoming for them.
The Mowbray death spiral appears to have kicked in early.

In fact, on waggott, I can't stand the bloke. He tried to sell off the training ground for redevelopment and basically got away with it. I can't wait for the day he leaves this club.
Amen to that my friend, amen to that.

I was supposed to add we probably couldn’t afford him but the money we lose if we do go down am sure paying him on a 16 week contract is worth it . We’ve just brought in 22 million
Allegedly coming in initially in 3 lots of £6m and I bet they don't bother going back to Court in March and use the AW money in lieu.
That only keeps the lights on until sometime in June by my reckoning. Not to excuse the situation or defend them in any way.

Sam allardyce is the master of avoiding relegation and getting the most out of his squads when needed. He’s got decades of experience and a contact list as long as Venky’s court documents. He has also worked with the Venky’s before and knows the club. How in the situation we are in has he not been giving the job even til summer.
guaranteed survival
££££ which we haven't got.

Venky’s still in charge, in India, with the same restrictions and court cases
suhail, waggot, broughton , Sylvester stil in the boardroom
lowe and benson still taking training
Captain still at Ipswich
best player still at palace
telalovic and Leonard leading the line for our relegation battle
but yeah am sure John eustace and a pal of his are going to bring in a new era.
This time next year I will be amazed if we arnt in the same position if not worse , that’s if he’s still here
Impossible imo to disagree, but you have to allow yourself that little bit of optimism that the change will bring about an improvement in the short term.
There's nothing else left to cling on to.

But for me Waggott and his cohorts are done.
Agreed. In the long term this looks tantamount to rearranging a couple of deckchairs on the Titanic given that Venky's still have their financial issues and Waggott and Broughton appear to have emerged from the latest debacle unscathed.
In the short term however a different voice and possibly a more pragmatic approach at times, hopefully he can provoke a reaction out of the players and get us the points we need to avoid the drop this season.
A very warm welcome to the Club and the best of luck John.

Also the part about making the club big money off Wharton. Again jdt almost certainly would have kept him and would have been part of a big promotion push if he was backed. The club isn't here to sell on academy products to bang average clubs like crystal Palace. Then again that's probably the remit now
Yep, you can clearly see where Broughton's coming from - he's well up for " the project" I.e. sell anything that moves.
As for JDT, sad to see him go, I'll remember him not for the recent bad League results but as someone who tried to instill pride, standards and ambition into the Club. Ultimately to no avail sadly.
Oh and some fantastic Cup results. Wish him all the best for the future.

Grrr.....didn't refresh the page.
A lot better appointment than I expected in the circumstances, he's going to need all the luck in the world working for these owners, Waggott and especially if GB is picking the players for him.

Wasn't mentioned as leaving along with JDT and Rene, you just know he's going to pop back up like a bad "egg".

The search for a successor is now underway
So we're plummeting towards the relegation zone and have no manager but at least we've started looking for a new one!
Nothing much gets past those in charge at Ewood. You've got to get up pretty early in the morning to get one over on them. It's truly heartwarming to know we're in such capable hands.

Will it be GB or Waggot introducing him in the media?
If GB is no where we can safely assume he has left.
Especially if Eustace is announced as the new "Manager".
If he's described as the new "Head Coach" I'll be panicking.

Not a surprise if Johnson and Lowe are in the dugout, when managers change at short notice the new guy usually steps back (unless you are Brian Kidd) for the first game.

No way is he voluntarily leaping off the gravy train.
We did say that anyone with any integrity would be walking out after that transfer window and I correctly predicted one only (JDT) would be leaving.
