Jus Just trying to make sense of why anyone would want to bother with a scheme which will leave us with worse facilities than the ones we already have, will almost certainly lose us Category 1 Academy Status, will probably leave us with nowhere at all to train for a considerable period and which we are told , may need the owners to fork out yet again to meet any shortfall! No suggestion at all anything illegal would be going on but as matt says it appears on the face of it that it appears to raise moral issues.

Yes, but if it was me I would have qualified that comment along the lines that whilst that was what the Club had said, my own view was that it was extremely odd there was no detail whatsoever available about the proposed new combined training centre as without that it was impossible to say whether it would be a desirable thing or not. I realise you're a lot more diplomatic than me but there you go. Would you mind me asking what your own view is on the desirability of the project?

So hypothetically, if you had identified a piece of land that had potential for development, used your influence with the owner of the land to persuade them to sell, obtained planning permission and alerted developers you wouldn't expect (a perfectly legal) "finders fee" off the developers? And what would any arrangements between you and the developers have to do with the finances of the seller? Wouldn't affect them at all.

The re-invigoration of BRFC

But all too predictable judging by his contrary contributions on the match day threads. He must be "working class" like Tony! -
Absolute nonsense. There was a legitimate coming together shoulder to shoulder and Dack went to ground and it looked an absolutely nothing incident. 999 times out of a 100 that wouldn't have resulted in any injury at all let alone a bad one. I'm also Mowbray's least biggest fan but even I don't think you can blame him or not blame him for not playing him enough or playing him too much. Nor would I blame the pitch, it didn't look like anything nasty had occurred it was just a dreadfully unfortunate occurrence. Medically I'm not qualified to comment on Dack's likelihood of picking up an ACL on the other side due to overcompensation but if the medical team say Dack is fit to go Mowbray is entitled to rely on that.

I'm not going to criticise him for feeling bad for Dack but I feel that's actually one of his main weaknesses, not being ruthless enough and not getting rid of players who either aren't good enough, are past it or who are simply swinging the lead. (Not Dack) Was going to launch into another tirade against Mowbray but more worried about Dack and hoping it's not as serious as feared.

He only realised he was there just as Dack was on top of him he didn't know he was coming towards him when he rolled the ball out. 99 times out of 100 the opposition player would have simply re-entered the field of play and tried to get back onside. You can't blame Dack it was a decent piece of opportunism and gamesmanship but you'd be fuming if an opposition player had done that to us and scored. It was within the rules but against the spirit of the rules. Just hope it's nothing serious.

Unfortunately another narrow defeat and loads of ready made excuses for the manager tonight. I actually think the ref should have blown up against Dack for unsporting behaviour as Raya had no way of knowing Dack was coming up behind him and it would have prevented the collision and unfortunate injury.
