  1. We spoke to soon. I just caught a snippet on Sky News talking about 200 England fans clashing with police in Portugal. I've no real details yet, but the pictures didn't look good. Additional - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3807427.stm "Around 200 fans, some English, 11 arrests". Whilst not good it doesn't sounds as bad as it initially sounded for us.
  2. If you know the Smurf's customer number and post code (there's a reasonable chance of this) you can do the application over tinternet on her behalf. The problem doing that is that I also intend to move seats,
  3. Can't renew mine. Still no pack for the smurf (two unanswered emails, two phone calls resulting in promissed packs ... two Cup Ticket Forms, but only 1 ST pack).
  4. Still only one renewel pack in our house. Perhaps the club took my comments about my wife being so disillusioned that she wasn't renewing a little TOO seriously !
  5. How silly does my post look now you've edited yours Still, I feel better for my rant anyway !
  6. One of the ways the internet has been ruined over the last 10 or so years is that people expect everything to FREE and don't apreciate those things that are. If somebody goes to all the effort of providing facilities for free, I don't see how people can bitch about them. The internet was funded upon the idea that if something doesn't work the way you want, you modify it so it does and give the changes away for free. Not, somebody comes up with an idea, makes it available for free, and thousand of ingrates bitch about how they think it should be done, sit just sit on their arses and moan and never think to do anything about it. For example, I'm a tester (for free) for an excellent piece of (free) software that would make accessing the news on this site much easier. However the author got so fed up with people giving him grief about problems with the software which a. we're rarely the fault of the software and b. in a piece of software still being developed that he how now decided NOT to let anyone new use it. So the world is denied a great bit of software, just because a few people "thought the service wasn't up to scratch". Out of interest, have you ever offered a service for free ? Did people bitch about it ? Would you continue to do it if they did ?
  7. Stanley. JPW is one of ours Congrats lads, lets hope the return leg is a bit more even. Any chance of giving us a run down of the team ?
  8. Yeah, services like hotmail and Skysports are hardley worth the money you pay for them are they.
  9. Sorry J, missed that post. What's wrong with this thread. We had a private thread for Turkey as we didn't want those not going trying to hijacking it and turning it into a political/hoolie debate, but I can't see that for a pre-season in Germany.
  10. Seeing as the Player of The Season Award is over, I guess it's time for a new poll.
  11. What ? You mean like a major part of the deal, pulling out at the 11th hour, leaving Rovers in the lurch and seeking a replacment without losing out financially ? No ? So, NOTHING like the shirts then ? Other than them not being ready when people want. Possibly through no fault of the clubs ? I SURE last year Rovers DID bring out the ST package much earlier than normal, and everybody whinged about it becuase they had to stump up the cash much sooner than expected ?
  12. By that they mean it's 10 monthly intrest free payments, not buy now .. pay in 10 months. So all those who can't the the cash together just before/after an expensive summer holiday. You don't have to ! Hopefully, this should get a few extra bums on seats, mainly from those that can't afford one big lump sum and don't want to pay a surcharge for paying by DD. Hats off to the club on this one.
  13. As I mentioned earlier, we have a large B.R.F.C. / www.brfcs.com flag that could be left in somebody's safe keeping.
  14. Ah but surely intrest free would a. Cost the club and the cost would have to be absorbed into the ST price and b. Be abused by people like me who could pay up front, but choose not to ? Hypotheticaly of course.
  15. Hopefully Lee's news will elborate on this, if what I've heard is true it'll make the deal even sweeter. Hum, I haven't bought a programme in years, maybe now I have an excuse.
  16. Your best bet is to PM JPW, he's always been the man for organising the messageboard team.
  17. The Captain is more than welcome to take the BRFCS.COM BRFC Cross of St. George if he wants.
  18. There are quite a few 5 a side teams (Irish Supporters, BRFCS.COM, Club Staff etc), that I'm sure we could soon make an 11-a-side team if the challenege arises.
  19. SS, send them to me or Ste, we'll hapiilly upload them for you..
  20. I'll not only bring it, it remember to move the focal length to something further than an inch .... and I'll buy a bigger memory card too.
  21. Oh .... and could all those people who proudly grabbed all my inflatable lolly pops and then keep the rather than launch them into the crowd PLEASE bring them to the Brum game and launch them there. I was bloody painfull to blow them all up only to watch people tuck them under their seats and then take them home afterwards !
  22. Pictures are available at - http://brfcs.fotopic.net/c174109.html Sadly, most are rubbish and out of focus, a combination of a new camera and too much beer I'm afraid. I feel the best ones are http://brfcs.fotopic.net/p4368482.html - Flopsy & Ref http://brfcs.fotopic.net/p4368439.html - Councilour Dave not looking his best http://brfcs.fotopic.net/p4368483.html - "S3" kisses ass http://brfcs.fotopic.net/p4368484.html - Can I have my ball back please ? http://brfcs.fotopic.net/p4368488.html - Captain Kayos
  23. Mister Jay-Pee-Dub-Ya has just informed that he's now picked up my collection. 10 Beach Balls and 8 Inflatable Lollipops. If anyone who is going to the Gilpin's Bell is in the upper tier and fancies baby sitting the brfcs.com flag then let me know. I've just realised my seats are on the lower tier where flag displaying options are likely to be more limited.
  24. As mentioned earlier in this thread, seven sisters to WHL is quite a trek (or another bus ride). If you don't mind the expense, a taxi is possibly you fastest method.
