Negative - they don't half make it bloody difficult!! Good job I'm persistent...

And that's where it doesn't make sense. When we're struggling for attendances why can't they make it easier? Many fans give up when presented with such difficulties. I guess it's all down to cost cutting and some accountant saying the extra effort and expense to attract a few more fans isn't worth it, but it seems barmy to me

  2. Underwood was unplayable in the right conditions. He bowled at a good pace, probably that of a decent club opening bowler, and managed to extract huge turn at the same time. I've never seen a bowler like before or since. "Flat Jack" was more of a slow bowler than a true spinner, he didn't turn it much. Very good in one-dayers but not a Test cricketer - he eat too many pies for the top level.

  3. As others have said, it’s not so black and white and not a binary issue.

if we’re going to have a wish list, putting the club up for sale (with a realistic price tag) has to be one preferred option, or Venkys staying and investing more in the club, coupled with better management at Ewood, is another.

What is almost certain is that administration would damage the club from which it might never recover. Assets, such as the training ground and academy, would quite likely be sold.  Be careful what you wish for

Man of the match should be Pope really Gav

edit @wilsdenrover beat me to it

Well deserved. Without his knock England wouldn't have had anything to bowl at. England looked dead and buried on the first day but turned it around. The beauty of Test cricket.

That victory will have shaken India.

Four times I planned to renew my season ticket this season.and four times chose not to due to the tones coming out the board room.

I didn't think the day would come where I never renewed my season ticket or chose not to go to a single game.

My mind is firmly made up, I won't be renewing next season either , in fact I probably won't buy one again, not whilst we are under this ownership and board.

My brother with his son renewed and has attended just one game, he has zero interest in attending,  whilst my mate also didn't bother.

I've lost complete interest, and would have to Google our next league game to see who we are playing.

Everything this club does from one day to the next,  has driven me further away, and they ain't getting a single dime off me for the foreseeable.

I'm totally disconnected, and feel that they take our support for granted.

Well not any more, they can plough on , in their merry way with the flat earthers who defend their every move because they've lived rent free in my brain long enough

Many fans feel the same way - a feeling of anger and disillusion about events over the past decade or so and no one would blame them for staying away - but it is possible to keep supporting the team in blue and white and still have disdain for the owners and the way the club is managed.

My red line would be if the players showed a lack of pride and effort in wearing the Rovers shirt - which happened a few times under Kean. The league cup match away to Cardiff was a breaking point for me when I spent £200 on the trip and Kean admitted he's thrown the game.

Apart from times like that, football is still like a drug that I can't kick because of the love of the game and supporting the Rovers team

  6. Brilliant effort by Pope without which England would likely have been facing an innings defeat

Root England's best bowler by a long way. Hartley's figures are pretty horrible

It's asking alot of inexperienced bowlers to win this but they have to bowl better next time.

With all due respect to Adam can't see that working out too well, he wouldn't be our player and would probably be mentally wrapping himself in cotton wool.

His commitment is questionable at the best of times. Knowing he's off somewhere else in a life-changing move and an injury might jeopardise it, there's little point picking him

20m is useless with 5 days in the window to go.. we'll get relegated / hardly will go for a promotion push.

I'd love to know how we're going to be involved in the promotion race

Wharton won't save us from relegation but in the event of a sale not buying at least 2 replacements will possibly do so

No, they wouldn’t, and this is why it was merely reshuffling the deckchairs when they changed the model from manager to DOF / Head Coach.

Broughton and JDT have no real autonomy.

    And there is the risk

If Wharton is sold for £18 million there is NO guarantee that ANY of the money will be spent on new players but will be used to reduce debt and / or everyday running costs.

A Wharton sale will come down to if JDT gets 85% to spend in this window.

If that's a NO , I can't see JDT or GB entertaining the idea.

The longer we can't get transfer fee money out of India the need to generate it from sales grows larger with the results on the pitch alarming.

True saleable assets are few and far between . Getting a million here or there for a first team player ain't going to generate a fund decent enough to attract better first team players.

It's a certainly a conundrum for the manager and GB I suspect

Would Tomasson or Broughton have any say in whether a sale goes ahead or get any of the money to spend?

  11. Bazball facing its toughest test in India and the traditional England batting weakness against spin and India racing to 119-1 in reply doesn’t augur well. England potentially bowling last on this pitch is good but will India let them by building a huge total and bowling England out again?

  12. There could be something in the Palace-Wharton story. South London Press is a well established local newspaper with a good reputation. Many national journalists have moved to Fleet Street from there.

Still think it's wrong move for him and far too early. He must be disillusioned at what's happened at Ewood this season. "Love" of a club only goes so far
