We're going full on propaganda mode

Dearie me, a young loanee who's only been here a short time dragged out to plea for unity. Is that the best Maggott could do?

Maggott is very crafty.
Rule No 1 for bosses under fire: surround yourself with friends and people you know
Eustace fits the bill perfectly
Not saying he wouldn't be a bad appointment, but it's all very convenient
-
Maggott & Mowbray|: Coventry connection
Maggott & Eustace: Coventry connection
The old boys' network alive and well in football
If Maggott could get Mark Robins instead I guess he might even earn a few Brownie points on here
Have to say I don't know much about Eustace except he was well regarded at Brum and clearly didn't deserve to be sacked
Roll the dice. Here we go again

Sparky is unemployed, I guess. Cheap, fans favourite, might actually be interested with a bit of a point to prove. History of injecting a bit of fight into a team. Ticks a lot of boxes.
Get yer scrapers out, let's go barrel hunting.
Mark Hughes is a strange one, a brilliant manager for Rovers yet failed just about everywhere else, most recently at Bradford. Odd

Unbelievable the players moaning about the atmosphere and a bit of booing.
I have paid £400 to watch us lose 9 times at home already to mainly crap sides that have done nothing more than put more effort in and exploited lazy defending.
That second goal against QPR was the players downing tools and us fans were rightly on our feet giving them shit for it.
I have been posting on here long before December about how boring it’s been as a home fan under JDT and glad he’s going. his best days seem to be away and I don’t attend them.
Hes a likeable guy and kudos for exposing the shit show behind the scenes but his approach to the championship is naive and with our squad stupid. In recent months he’s put his brand and reputation over getting results. I wouldn’t be surprised if the players haven’t also realised that and it’s part of the meeting today.
in summary the entire club should be ashamed of itself and there isn’t a single redeeming feature about the place. They can stick my season ticket up their ass next year.
Lovely

If not yet official that was also not suitable discussion material at a meeting with fans.
Possibly but he’s the absent elephant in the room. I don’t see how they could have a discussion of that nature without the manager’s name coming up

Thank you for your summary.
Regarding the bit in bold, and just for clarity, was Waggott in the room at this point?
I assume the part in black type was about Tomasson and his impending departure. You can understand why it should not be revealed on here

No surprise that the players want to see more fans in the ground. But it’s in their hands to start winning matches and give fans something to cheer about
I’m fed up with the excuses for Tomasson and claims that he doesn’t deserve this. He’s a failing manager who is leading the club towards relegation. His resignation offer should be accepted forthwith

sold the false promise ,just like lambert, have anyone noticed whenever we look to be assembling a decent side, our esteemed owners stop the funding and start selling players or in mowbrays case let them leave for free and that lewis o`brien was a fit up,we`de have most likely been in the plays offs with him in the side, but we can`t be getting promoted,it might start unearthing some venky fraud imo
The conclusion has to be that Venky's don't want promotion. Our 2 big chances to go up in recent seasons, under Mowbray and Tomasson, and the funding was never there to give us that final push into the playoffs.
I think it suits them for Rovers to be out of the top flight, where the glare of publicity and worldwide attention that the Premier League receives would cast a spotlight on the owners and their "activities". I still maintain Rovers as a club have for the past decade been used as a money laundering (tax dodging) vehicle by Venkys

I think we should go full circle and bring back Big Sam!
Venky’s can then f*ck right off and it’ll almost be as if the last 13 years haven’t happened 😆
That would be ironic and it's a delicious thought, I'd love him back. I think he's enjoying counting his millions at Casa St James's though

Warnock already has a job.
Took over at Aberdeen a few days back.
Gary Rowett or John Eustace, one of those 2, surely?
I know, he's just joined Aberdeen...... that's why I said it was a matter of days

You can already predict what will happen. They'll get rid of a few people including JDT and then start talking about a fresh start.
It's more of a fire fighting exercise than a fresh start. We're in a relegation battle here. If we somehow survive the summer will be the time for a complete revamp.
Without any money of course
-
And for the about the third occasion the timing is wrong to get Neil Warnock in and sort out the mess, this time by a matter of days.

Tomasson's position is/was untenable. He's been undermined because the "project" has changed, and he's been told lies by the managemernt. And results have been dire, sackable. . Either way, he should leave the club

Waggott has perhaps told sylvester to set r everything up in the a system, and then save it, and Waggott will press submit when he has the OK from India. E which never came. So he left it. And the appeal is just a face saving exercise.
If it is a family feud and the woman wants no more to do with rovers, then I would think she had felt that way for a while. Perhaps q we shouldn't rule out that she could just pull the plug on us and see us liquidated
I thin it's more likely she doesn't want to spend any more money and is seeking to recoup some of the losses built up over the years. Sadly, the Wharton deal might have given her encouragement to hang on in the hope of selling other assets.

I work with a few different systems and it scares me just how piss poor some of them are. One in particular confirms a booking/registration but you still have to click confirm before exiting.
No warning or anything and in the system the booking/registration is visible for 15 minutes before being deleted (again without notification)
Not saying that this is the case here but there are some truly appalling IT solutions out there. That said: the most important transfer of the window - I would be triple checking as the sender and pushing for confirmation from the EFL non-stop until it arrived
Would you also on something this important (and bearing in mind previous mistakes) back it up with a phone call to the league just to make sure it has arrived? I'm assuming the league is contactable on important days like the last day of a transfer window.
We do it in business and at a personal level with very important things. Checking up and a belts and braces approach is never wrong

According to this, he is

Mike Cheston - Finance Director
Ashfaq Hasan - Head of Finance
* Not sure it is up to date
Can someone explain the difference between the two?
Cheston does the plus column and Hasan does the minus column?
Same with head coach and director of football: two people doing the job of one
And the club is supposed to be short of money

You specifically said the Newcastle “game” though and called the idea of targeting it daft ⬇️
I started this thread and understand there is a lot of different opinions, my point was, if you’re actually willing to take action then join the WhatsApp group.
The current plan is to target the Newcastle game with a protest during the game. This was the idea behind the original thread prior to the Wrexham game. Unfortunately only 2 of us were willing to do anything at that point. Hopefully following the QPR game and the conclusion of another shambolic transfer window, the tide is beginning to turn.
Most people on this messageboard seem to have big opinions & a lot of things to say but aren’t actually willing to do anything about it.
We were on the pitch protesting against the board more than 50 years ago. Good luck with your WhatsApp discussion

Good job it’s got nothing to do with Newcastle then.
The game is live on BBC One, that’s why it should be targeted - for maximum impact and maximum exposure.
Join the WhatsApp group if you want to discuss & come together on a planned course of action. If not then please don’t comment on this thread if you’ve got nothing useful to say to take things forward.
The Cup game will be on national TV but it was a response to the idea to contact Newcastle fans - which I think would be a waste of time for the reasons stated.
There's differing views on how we should go about the protests and this is one forum where they can be expressed. If you don't understand that perhaps you should stick to your WhatsApp group where you might be more useful?

I dont think Newcastle supporter groups are interested in that sort of thing, now there club is sorted they laugh at clubs like us.
They had 3000 leaflets printed taking the piss out of Everton when they played at Goodison recently.
Agree. It's a daft idea to target the Newcastle game. They're a deluded lot who think they support the biggest club in the world. They look down on us like they do most clubs and we won't get any sympathy from them let alone support

The Ennis fee would have covered the Mcguire loan fee though which I suspect was why the Mcguire deal was resurrected in that fashion.
And there's another variation. This is catching

The answers to this current fiasco don’t currently lie with sackings in the U.K. The answers lie with Venkys and the courts in India. The future of our club lies in India. If this situation is going to go on for any length at all - even another 12 months - Venkys need to act. Seems to me there’s very little time.
one more… Why would Maguire or his club even think of discussing a pre-contract deal for Maguire in the summer (as has been reported) with a club that currently can’t pay a fee?
Freudian slip there in view of speculation that Rovers might have spelt his name wrongly on the paperwork

Don't get this, sorry. As it stands, Tomasson is taking us down to League One and shows no sign of knowing how to stop the slide. He's had a rough deal at Ewood but he has to go. We'll soon find out if his successor is worse but if Eustace or whoever saves us from relegation he isn't a downgrade
