It's not often I agree with the club on anything but 1 year deals for players of Baath and Weimann's age is something I have no issue with.

They can be in talks all they like but when they come to the bit that involves paying the club with actual money its going to be a problem.

Hoped we might have at least lined up some freebies like PNE but even that looks a no go. grim

I said it a few weeks ago but I will be amazed if we spend any money on player signings until either the court case is resolved or we sell some players. Even if we sell some players I could see it being needed to run the operational side rather than purchases. I am expecting nothing but loans and free transfers.

So do we now have 2 rovers related cases running in the courts? Or did we just cross someone’s palm with silver to get the other one heard quickly?

For those fans joining me in the Riverside for the first time from other sections of the ground please have very low expectations of both amenities and atmosphere 🙂 If you like a pint at half time you have no chance of being served without missing half the first half. They man the kiosks with a single 15 year old who seems to change every week and has no idea how to pour beer or take payment. If you need a number 2 don't even bother the toilets are freezing with floors and paint peeling off the floor and walls. Also the hand dryers are from 1960 so hope you like wet hands in the middle of winter. If you have sat too near the front and it's windy you will be soaked, also mind the peeling paint all on the steps as it's super slippy. Also if you want to exit via the Darwen end they seem to now regularly close it so you have to walk all the way around the ground. Welcome to the shitshow!

Sure its just a coincidence that they are suddenly getting prompt hearings after 2 years in which the Wharton/Raya/Kaminksi/Szmodic cash kept us going but has now run out....

We have no money to buy anyone with so unless its some freebies or loans I wouldn't expect anything until the court case in August.

Personally not bothered about women's football but says a lot about the dire financial situation the club currently is in.

If they managed to rush this to the front of the queue when it was arranged for August maybe things are even worse than we thought behind the scenes. The noise around the women's team finances, back office staff redundancies and then the larger than expected released list further strengthens the view.

feeling the pressure to renew before tomorrows deadline after some friends and family did theirs. Got the fear of missing out on a regular social with them. Why cant we just be a normal club like everyone else this shouldn't be a hard decision for a fan.

Unless something changes I would be amazed if a single penny is spent on players before the next court case is heard. The transfer fee income is all gone and it's clear Venkys don't want to send any money over using the 'bond' method which is yet to be used. The only other option would be another dodgy bridging loan from some 'local businessman' against the training ground again.
