He needs to take a look at himself rather than just pointing the fingers at others.

There will be about 8k on for some of the mid-week matches in 2024.
VENKYS OUT
I said the same after the Bristol game, that was the lowest actual attendance I’d seen on ewood at a league game for a long time. A few on here robustly defended it had anything to do with our atrocious home form or their saviour JdT though.
I really don’t want to go to the Rotherham game and wouldn’t if I wasn’t a season ticket holder.

If it wasn’t for Smodizc hot streak we would already be down the bottom. We create nothing and just tap it around expecting someone to score i would hate to be Ennis or Telalovic in this team.

Called a thumping and there it is. Should refund the travelling fans and compensate me for having to watch this on tv

Feel sorry for anyone that dragged themselves to watch this. Spineless so far

Like Garrett needs a run in the side

Hope that’s Moran out the team for an extended period now, ridiculous to keep starting him when he has been so poor for so long

This is close to our strongest team which is a worry.
We are sleep walking into a relegation fight, no money to spend on players and a manager more interested in his reputation for passing football than getting results.

Every Huddersfield attack makes us look totally stretched even though we are offering no attacking threat. Can see us taking a hammering here

Morton is a good player. Unfairly criticised when he was with us
Felt he was average at best in his time with us. Responsible for us conceding a number of goals, couldn’t tackle and no goals/assists at the other end. Tronstad and Wharton are massive upgrades on him

Rovers dominated the ball so far
Cos Dolan and Hedges are injured. Who else would you pick then?
Markanday for a start. If someone consistently plays shit you give someone else a chance.

How does Moran get another start?!? He’s the new Tyler Morton
-
Can’t see anything but a loss after recent results. Expecting a shit house team to out muscle us and exploit how tired and weak the squad is at the moment.
The one definite change to be made is Moran to disappear for a while. He has been awful for weeks now and seems to be an automatic selection (echos of Morton last season).
Dont think you can drop S Wharton as he has been a rock since he came back. Leave Carter at right back and Pickering hopefully back at left.

would you have brought on Gamble for Moran for example to see the game out or Weston for Wharton?
Yep. Or ask the existing team to sit in and stop committing forward as much. It’s basic football management.

The amount of anti Tomasson feeling at Ewood isn’t surprising when you consider how many games we’ve lost. Most fans don’t travel away and the home form has been poor - fans are fed up seeing defeat after defeat.
There’s a middle ground. Just as fans calling for him to go is over the top so is the love in with Tomasson on here. The reality is he’s a good manager doing a good job in difficult circumstances but is not quite the second coming some fans believe him to be.
Been saying the same thing for a few weeks with the usual suspects refusing to accept any criticism of the guy.
he’s an ok manager who now has lost more games at home by Xmas then Owen Coyle did the season we went down.
He has gotta learn but seems more interested in the vanity project of purist football than getting points on the board.
All it would have taken for 3 points yesterday was to go defensive and close out the game for the last ten minutes but instead we kept going for more, leaving gaping holes for the additional attackers Watford threw on.

Even Owen Coyle only managed to lose 5 home games by Xmas

I can’t remember a season where we have lost this many home games before Xmas

4-0 away against QPR wasn't convincing? Or 3-0 Stoke? Beating Norwich 3-1 with ten men?
Sorry should have specified in the league at home.

At least with Britain suspended JDT can’t play him up front anymore.
Given our home form and Watford’s result last Saturday we will get beat.
But it’s the hope that makes us fans keep coming so let’s hope we get an early Christmas present and the first convincing win of the season. Be nice to do it in front of a big crowd and maybe entice some people back again too.

I don’t think anyone is saying the manager should go are they? Just fans pointing out continued deficiencies in the hope he starts to learn and change.
I’ve watched us lose at home to Preston, Sunderland, Hull and Swansea this season already. These aren’t mega bank rolled parachute money clubs.

Just watched the highlights and the defending looked poor on all 4 goals.
Sounds like we were well beaten from reading the comments let’s hope they rest up and we get a performance next weekend. -
They need to go back to having one cheap area of the ground which is traditionally the Riverside.
It went from 299 to 399 in covid under the guise we would be moved to other lower tier areas if needed but never happened. Then they just kept the price at 399.The stand is falling apart, it’s almost impossible to get a beverage due to the understaffing and the toilets are like going in a freezer with posters advertising Cheltenham races in 2020.
If they don’t improve my match experience or reduce the prices I won’t be renewing next season after 30 years of attending.

The crowd last night tells you nothing. We always, always get turnouts like that for midweeks in winter. We have a paltry 9,000 ST holders plenty of who will give such games a swerve, also you don’t get many walk-ons or kids going in midweek ergo far less folk there than a weekend. Generally our gates are a bit up on recent years, nowt to write home about, obviously, but there’s certainly been no drop off under JDT.
You keep banging on about ‘PR’, ‘hype’. It’s a results business and he consistently gets them with a squad as weak as this, just look at the bench. You think we should be doing better?
If our home form was better we would have got plenty more on last night and you’re kidding yourself if you think otherwise. The performances and results have been dire.
I think JDT is ok, Mowbray got pelters for similar results. I’ve seen words like ‘sensational’ and ‘miracles’ on here to describe JDT.
League wise I think we are about where we should be based on our squad. I am just not enjoying going to Ewood at the moment but hopefully it picks up once we get some of the walking wounded back.

I think we are already in a relegation fight, if not for a Smodizc hot streak we would already be down there.
No hope of money in January either due to tax dodging owners and the squad can only get weaker should we sell.
Worst home record since Steve Kean and the 2nd worst defence in the league.
All points to a lowest finish since we came back up
