I'd go with Buckley too but I doubt Mowbray will start him. He'll cop out and do the 'safe' thing unless Evans is out injured with a plucked eyebrow.
-
Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan Ayala Bell Johnson Rothwell Evans Dolan Armstrong Brereton
-
Don't get excited. Douglas, Pears and Downing incoming
-
Douglas is exactly what we need. And so is Manning. Both better than Amarii Bell in every way.
-
I would imagine Dack and Rothwell would rotate in the 3 attacking positions too. I also think Holtby won't play every game and same with Johnson so the numbers are needed. I know consistency is key when it comes to a line up but if we want to be serious about play offs we need to have good depth and quality in that depth. Luckily for me, I don't have to make the call on who plays. For example, when Holtby plays I would play Dack further up. When he doesn't, I would play Dack in the midfield 3? Just an option but could see that working. I would probably play Travis and Whiteman together at all times (if he signs) unless one get's injured but then you have BJ or Rothwell to come in for either of those if needs be. Buckley I would use off the bench as he's been quite effective doing that. We're in a nice position where Rothwell can play further forward too but obviously he is lacking in the goals/assists department.

They should both be playing. The thought of Travis, Dack, Holtby, Whiteman, Rothwell and Johnson as our options in midfield has me salivating. Throw Buckley in the mix too - excellent. (Evans can go)

Neither do I if I am honest but I always talk myself into buying the games on a Saturday anyway so i'll save money this way I think. Plus the pull of me keeping my seat I have had for 20 years played a big part too! Just bittersweet knowing I'm paying over the odds for a lacklustre service.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I've decided to renew and jumped on the promotion hype train! Basically, the bottom line is - Waggot has really fucked me off. BUT I do hope that we'll get in to the ground for a game this season, that'll be a nice day if/when it happens.
-
Still having a dilemma about this season ticket. I think I have until today to claim my current seat or risk losing it next season. Yeah, I know that only 2000 people have bought them so far and it's unlikely to result in me losing my seat but they kinda have us over a barrel with that. I really don't know wether I can / should be pumping £400 into a club when I don't know if I'll even get in the ground this year. I have some people saying 'It'll be fans like you to blame if the club goes under' which I think is very harsh considering the lack of empathy from the board. Double that up with the continuos money they stumped up to Hart/Smallwood/Samuel/Graham when they didn't need to whilst upping the cost to fans in the most working class area in the North West. It's very hard for me to decide. Swag has literally booted every Rovers supporter in the face and then held his hands out begging.

Think this week will be closer. I am going to go for 2-1 Rovers with Brereton grabbing himself a goal along with Armstrong! Team will be the same but with Nyambe coming in for JRC - no doubt. Top 6 prediction as follows: Watford Norwich Bournemouth Swansea Brentford Rovers -
Wait. You've cracked it! Mercer is Nicko. Rumbled.
-
It's not so much us rejecting bids because I don't think we would. I just don't think anyone will want to buy Armstrong for what we would want for him and Travis/Dack because they're injured. Nobody is else is worth 10m+ in my opinion.
-
Thing is, anyone can say they've heard something - you could be making it up? Most likely in the Telegraph because Sharpe has read it on here and hasn't been told anything from the club but needs to get a story out. This is how 'ITK Twitter' works too. So this 'big departure' should be taken with a pinch too. I'd imagine nobody has put a bit in for Armstrong who's the only player we have that could go this window based on Dack and Travis being injured. I'm inclined to think we won't lose either of those 3.
-
Yeah, I get that. I was being facetious really! Can't have been scuppered if he had signed though. Info most likely wrong / made up.
-
Bell has to be dropped for me. Looked out of his depth in the 5-0 win which is very telling. JRC out of position is better than him. Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan Williams JRC Rothwell Johnson Holtby Dolan Armstrong Brereton
-
So, is anyone signing today or was all that a load of bollocks on Friday? ?

I know it was only WWFC but if there was ever proof that Bell isn’t good enough for this team, that was it. -

Good to see Rothwell playing like this. I wish he played like this every game - hopefully he can keep it up -

Nyambe getting dropped is absolutely insane if true. He’s the best defender we have. Lenihan, Williams and Bell are all suspect -
I imagine it’s a Crooke of shit that they’ve signed on the dotted line.

I love the irony of him being called Swag ?. He looks like he should be in Phoneix Nights

I'd go with the following tomorrow! Based on Ayala not passing the 'he needs to know how we play test' from Mowbray. Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan Williams Bell (unfortunately) Davenport Holtby Rothwell JRC Armstrong Dolan Fisher, Wharton, Bennett, Ayala, Brereton, Johnson, Buckley
