Got to be honest.  He is the most talented winger I've seen seen at Rovers since Duff.  Yes he may have to start as an impact sub and there's always the worry  with injuries...but we  haven't had game changers on the bench in ages.  Potential of him and Armstrong would be great to watch develop.  Especially compared to some of the **** we've watched over the last nigh on a decade.

    Won't sign now lol.

I’d be happy with Chapman. Exciting player with bags of potential and an England international through all the age groups so far! Same as Armstrong really - bags of potential and has been quality for us when played. No brainer for the right price!

  2. What I would go with -

                         Raya

    Nyambe    Lenihan       Mulgrew    Bell

                     Bennett       Evans

    Armstrong          Dack             Palmer

                              Graham

Mowbray will probably start Smallwood, Williams and Samuel though

Just realised this is the exact same as Ewood Ace - apologies but great taste :)

Strange deal. Vydra doesnt strike me as Burnley type player. Is Dyche going to change his style?

I think Whittingham will leave if we sign another. Expect Tomlinson will go on loan probably Accrington Stanley

Can anyone tell me what type of midfield player Trap is?

Apparently Trapp is a box to box midfielder who can pick a good pass and has a great engine. So basically, something we don't have. Dunno if he is any good though

  4. We may not NEED another CM but like people have said about McGinn, if the player is someone that can come in to the starting 11 because they are better than what we have there already then I don't mind - I welcome it. Do need to shift some deadwood though. Have to imagine Whittingham will be shifted/paid off and Travis and Tomlinson will be sent on loan

So it is a tactical plan to be making 3 to 4 signings in the last few days of the window?

Oh no, not at all. I in no way think that this window has gone swimmingly and completely to plan for Mowbray. But shit happens and he would have liked to have gotten people through the door earlier but that rarely happens at any club. I just think that we do have money to spend and that he is trying his hardest to get what he sees as the best value for money.

Leicester, Bournemouth and QPR also succeeded through doing it. QPR have been punished because they came straight back down again, yet strangely despite all the trouble with them they're still rumoured to be close to signing Jackson from Stanley for a few million.

Did Bournemouth and Leicester do it as well? Didn't realise really but that may have just been naivety on my part when it came to FFP

I think a few teams are throwing a lot of money at improving their squads knowing that they will be embargoed. They can't all get promoted though, so It's a dangerous game.

Yeah, I think it has only ever worked for Wolves last season. Teams could be in trouble if they ever get pulled on it properly!

Flipping that - not spending money under the pretense a deal is to expensive results with a couple of freebie signings who contribute next to nowt.  Which also gets us into trouble.

Yeah, I understand that but we've not signed any freebies. I am talking about this window in particular. Nothing for this window suggests we have no money available. Just because players have gone for money that we would have liked as fans, doesn't mean we couldn't afford them or wanted to pay for them. We probably just haven't been after them.

The behaviour of the club in the transfer market is not that of a club with 3.5 mill to spend on one player. I may be wrong but I feel this will be like Jan with some mythical transfer budget.

Or maybe he does and he doesn't want to waste it or bide his time? I'm sure some people would be happy to just pay a big fee for some waste of space just to show that we have money to spend. I'm happy he's not blowing 'big' money - this is what gets clubs like us in to trouble.

So A, B and C lists all failed then?

Would be happy if it happens, could come right in with no bedding in either

I don’t see it as that really. I am not buying in to the ‘Armstrong is on the D list’ vibe. I think he’s always been a strong target - I just hope there’s another one following him who’s proven at this level as well. Armstrong would be a good signing, fits in well and has an abundance of potential. Proven scorer in as well to compliment it would be great

Hes a Rovers fan and season ticket holder. Says he kmows someone at Brockhall.

Well he is a Rovers fan and season ticket holder.

Lets wait and see whether his info is good or bad.

    Guess we find out shortly.

I am a Rovers fan and season ticket holder who knows someone at Brockhall. Doesn't mean I know what I am talking about. I would take his statement with a pinch of salt. I would imagine with how tight things have been surrounding the transfers at the club thus far that he's making it up otherwise he'd have had knowledge like this all window.

Anyway, wouldn't like Waghorn - don't think he is good enough but again, this is probably BS aswell.

You said the players you mentioned won players of the year and young player of the year awards. No sign of this online. Why don't you send me the links?

Anyway, winning apprentice of the year or young player of the year, just means they were better than other young players or apprentices. Still a big step up to compete with the senior. Anyway, send on those links like a good boy

Not my argument but I stand by saying that Will Hughes won Football League’s Young Player of the Year in 2014.
