Agree but is Foden on Southgate’s Christmas card list? It’s a mates rate thing being picked for England. Same applies to Ollie Watkins, he should be a shoe in
It’ll be a shambles if he doesn’t start, look at his numbers this season.
To quote football manager speak:
’an indispensable member of the first team squad’.

Phil Foden has been that good this season, surely Southgate can’t fail to pick him in the summer….

How did they go on when Coleman briefly left them to flop at Rochdale ? Did they struggle or thrive. I genuinely can’t remember.
I think they sort of plateaued, from memory! I’m not sure how they’re going to go on now, though.

I’ve no love for Stanley, I’ll be honest. Despite being born about a quarter of a mile from the ground and going to school near there, it really gets on my nerves that Rovers fans from Accy go to watch Stanley instead and I struggle to have respect for those people.
Andy Holt is a right goon anyway, he’s pissed on his chips here, with Bell and Coleman. As Matty quite rightly alludes to above, the transformative effect Bell and Coleman have had on that club, has been nothing short of remarkable. Stanley will have to do incredibly well to get any replacements of a similar calibre in. (I’m not sure they even exist tbh).

I think so. He would have to hit the ground running in League One, mind.
Got a horrible feeling that getting out of league one would be a lot harder if we end up there again.

The squad has a handful (at best) of good championship players. No real depth to speak of though, IMO.
I look around the team and I can think of a few positions I’d want us to upgrade in (in an ideal world, obviously- Venky’s won’t fund us, I know).

Just seen the highlights. Talk about gifting them the goals! Good grief.
Sure we’ve all seen them goals we conceded, but there are quite a few at fault really. Awful.

What’s this about? Who’s saying he shouted at the fans and where has this come from?

After today’s result and looking at the league table- colour me concerned.

Didn’t take long for people to start blaming JDT and to subsequently take the heat off Venky’s and Waggott.
BRB- just off to hang my head against a brick wall.

Was would Sean Kimberley come out publicly and speak about recruitment? What other head of recruitment does that?
Fleck was low risk signing on 5 months contract. Let's not overstated it.
People need to look at actually how he injured himself which was in game situation
Can’t really saw it’s a low risk signing, when you consider how many appearances he’s made in the last two years tbf.

Really disappointed with the manager with those substitutions.
Might as well have thrown a white towel on the pitch and walked off. Before those two substitutions we were competing really well.
Okay, we have limitations but swapping a CB for another when needing a goal? Literally what is the point?
Those substitutions
The subs were crap but that says more about our shite squad than Eustace.
And with them subs there goes the game
Markanday coming on - Eustace waving the white flag
Koumetio is a bombscare
What on earth was the non-league level Liverpool lad doing then. They’ll be targeting him until the end if they have any sense
Koumetio. Good grief he is poor
The kid at left back looks like he has won a comp in the LET. Awful
Reactive posts during the game 🤯.
Who would have thought it? Forum’s gone.

Fans lamenting last nights performance need to give their bloody heads a wobble. NUFC squad/team last night was valued at some £250m with quality across the park versus a team that cost no more than £5m. Rovers battled each to a man, it was an impressive effort greatly appreciated by the fans in the ground, hence the reason why they were applauded off the pitch.
I left feeling proud to be a Rover which hasn't been the case for a good while. Even the Geordie fans I met were remarking just how unlucky we were.
The roof lifted when SS equalised, if only we can recreate that atmosphere for the few home games that we have left.
Time to back the team!
Has anyone actually lamented the performance? Looked a sense of overwhelming positivity and pride from where I’m sitting. If they have, then feel free to quote the posts and I’ll be delighted to eat my words.
Again, people always back the team.
Can’t help but think you’re seeing what you want to see here and spoiling for a row, so you can chill on your high horse again.

I was there at that meeting. Glad we turned down that extra revenue from a gambling firm on the front of the shirts, when we’re quibbling over scouts using the M6 Toll….

This chimes with an article in the Times recently about conversation overheard among players in dressing rooms around the counties. They want to play where the money is: which is franchise cricket here and abroad. Many aren't interested in playing Test match cricket for England and county cricket is seen as a unrewarding chore.
It's also reinforced by comments such as this on the BBC website today after the fourth India Test:
"Who cares about the result - pro sport is there to entertain and this England team are awesome. As far as this series goes; I'd much rather see England lose an exciting series like this than win a borefest any day".Read that again, they don't care about England losing: the playstation, Netflix generation only wants instant cricket entertainment.
I don’t think one comment makes up the views of an entire generation, but I imagine there are others that think that way.

Everton were an easy target. It was absolutely awful how the league treated them.

Re Brittain- was saying yesterday, I reckon I could count on one hand the amount of good games he’s had for us….

I’m never one for bigging up Liverpool FC believe me!
But today, with all their injuries, they still managed to beat Chelsea, after all the money they’ve spent.
Pretty decent achievement tbf. -

Knowing he could see a train crash coming after the about turn in Summer regarding transfers he would have been wiser to go then. His stock would have much higher than is now. I’m surprised he took the job in the first place.
He did try tbf.

All very true but if we do go down Tomasson will be to blame.
The horrendous run in December and January under him has put us in this precarious position and it's clear now he was not being honest with himself by staying on at the club so long. If he'd resigned sooner we might not be in this mess.
All roads lead back to India.
Venky’s the fuck out.

Dingle Derangement Syndrome, we saw evidence of that yesterday with pretty much every chant based on Dingles and former Dingles.
We are getting as small time as we used to take the piss out of them for being.
We were never going to roll out the red carpet for Ashley Barnes, particularly given his behaviour in the derby last season.
It was intensified a bit yesterday as it was him. Don’t think it’s like that on a week to week basis, in fairness.

They were saying on the radio earlier that Kompany complained he should have had a second yellow today, just before he was substituted. Diddums.

Think others have made the point, but in making us harder to beat, we’ve managed to nullify the man who has been the league’s top scorer for a lot of the season, which is a concern.

Insert cliche about putting the point in the bag and moving on here.

You can’t I’m afraid, but if you’ve anything you want to be asked, let me know, I’m the rep for this site.
Think the meeting is going to be moved, unfortunately- gonna be more like the end of this month.
