Just seen Boro are selling Rogers to Villa.  Follows on from selling Akpom in the summer.

Clubs have to trade and that invariably involves losing your most valuable assets - i.e the ones that will command the biggest fees.  Unfortunately it's the way it has to be.

That’s true- as long as the money goes back into replacements for the departing players. History tells us that isn’t always the case here. I’d obviously love to be proven wrong on this one!

I will wait to see how he gets on in a Rovers shirt as not bothered what he has done for anybody else.

Players don’t fit into every club, management styles etc so don’t look into the past too much.

Obviously he gets a clean slate.

But people are still allowed to talk about his pedigree and his experience, if he’s potentially coming to the club, that stands to reason.

Well,  "unfortunately" it would then be down to him unless you don't believe anything about the alleged intervention of the Indian authorities and subsequent restrictions.

All the more reason we should have appointed a proper DOF in the first place. That is something else you  can blame the owners for.

Doesn’t matter if we employed the best DOF on the planet anyway, if our budget is 3/5 of fuck all tbf.

P.S- not sure we ’wheel and deal’, more, we sell and the money goes to cover what we owe to the owners.

Respectfully disagree. If the money isn't available soon it could force us to sell an asset to cover general outgoings and leave the squad even weaker than it is. Relegation then becomes even more of a possibility and the loss of even more players. We go from barely treading water to head under the water line.

In any case, what a shit situation to be in. Relying on Venky’s getting their shit together and sending money over.

  5. He’s an absolutely vile cretin that, along with all the above, once stubbed out a cigar in a youth team player’s eye at Man City. He’s clearly spent all his Bristol Rovers severance pay on nose beers and he’s going on a rant, cancelling himself.

Fuck that guy, now, forever and always.

    Prick.

  6. Whilst GB has obviously signed some shite and that’s on him, it must be difficult for him to do his job properly and sign good players, when his budget consists of 3 buttons and a curly wurly.

(This obviously doesn’t absolve him of blame and he got us a keeper that costs us goals and strikers that don’t score any, hardly any wonder we’re struggling, is it?)

That’s on Venky’s. There are always reasons why they can’t do things, instead of why they can do things. It’s an embarrassing and pathetic way to run a football club. When the primary concern isn’t winning football matches, the club becomes a little bit pointless tbh.

Please word it like that at the next fans forum…

I’ll probs be a bit more diplomatic 😃.

But, I’ve mentioned it before and will definitely mention it again. Genuinely totally fed up with Rovers and struggling to see the point of us any more. First time next season (bar the Coyle season), where I’m genuinely considering not renewing.
