"Most of his best work goes unseen"
They used to say that about Corry Evans.
I'm far from convinced in the ability of this lot to get Eustace or anyone for that matter over the line within a reasonable time scale. I think it's a bit premature to be talking of models being abandoned at this stage but if the model of selling anything of value that moves were to be ditched I'd be all for it.
Wharton, Phillips, the Training ground.
What's the melt down value of Jack's Statue?
Suhail - if you are reading - that was a joke.

Interestingly you're meant to get a notification on submission.
Evidently Rovers didn't get a notification after 3 hours.
IT MAKES NO SENSE!!!
IF YOU DON'T GET A NOTIFICATION ON ONE OF OUR BIGGEST SIGNINGS IN YEARS YOU'D LOOK WHY!!!!
IT DOESN'T ADD UP
Agree. There’s more to this than utter incompetence. I know occams razor suggests utter incompetence, but there’s too much circumstantial this time.
I put O’Brien down to utter incompetence last time. I’m now not sure.
And there’s Brierley as well.
Come on.

Well I never thought it would come to this, but as long as Venky's are the owners I am done with Rovers. I have been a fan since 93, but now sadly it stops. These owners are slowly killing my interest for the club. There have been so many many incidents since they took over, but these latest things...
I have had enough of these uprofessional owners! They show time and time again that they will never learn, and
nothing will ever change as long as they are still around.I hope to "see" you guys sometime in the future! Take care!
Swanson out!
Sorry to see you go. We all have our line in the sand and it differs for everyone. I may not be far behind you after 43 years. You can only take so much.
When the Raos have gone hopefully you will be back.

Nah, we really tried our hardest in that spurs away game.

I think we have to target “the Rao family” rather than Venkys. It will cause more embarrassment to them.
“We will honour Jack Walker’s legacy” is what they promised when they took over.
We need to say that they have,on the contrary, dishonoured Jack’s Legacy.
The wokerati will allege racism of we say destroyed in india. We have no beef with India.
Rovers have become an embarrassment under the leadership of the Raos.
Hit their pride/ego.

But from what I have heard of the McGuire analysis, he is far from the perfect striker but he meets the characteristics list of what he hadn't previously got in the squad absolutely perfectly. Genuinely excited by this one.
I’ve read that 3 times and it seems complete gobbledegook.
is it just me?

I’d love a clean sheet today, sounds mad but I’d rather a point at 0-0 than 3 points winning 4-3
Yep, that sounds mad.

Frustrating is a bit of an under statement. After 43 years I’m on the verge calling it a day. Where’s the enjoyment.

Possibly because we only have one player who can attack the ball in the air (Scott Wharton as you mentioned), and he has missed a few due to being left on the bench or injury
As much as the short corner routines depress me, there is little point in putting in high crosses/corners for our team of midgets,
I would love to see the stats on the average height of Championship teams fielded this season (they have stats for everything these days). I would be genuinely amazed if any team runs Rovers close to being the shortest
Put the ball in, header out, pick up the bits.
It worked for more than 100 years pre Pep but now the coaching manual and teams of stats nerds declare "computer says no".
What coaching and stats nerds can't cope with is throwing in some unpredictability into your tactics.
But no, those in charge know best.

I sit in the Riverside, so don't pay £700..... I've been going to Ewood since 1970 and I'm not a happy-clapper, which is a terrible insult to many Rovers fans who do not share (whatever) your view might be.
I want Venkys gone and find our current situation unbearable, but the questions I ask are genuine ones. If we went into administration, how many people would lose their jobs? How would we pay for the academy? How many players would we need to sell? If we were able to find new owners, how would they subsidise the club to current levels? And for how long?
They are the practical issue are play.
It’s got SO bad for me though, I do wonder what’s the point. If hardcore fans don’t care anymore, the club is finished anyway. If the ONLY way to get rid of the owners is Admin, then Admin it is.
How many people would lose their job btw?
If i was a rovers employee, I couldn’t really complain that the warning signs weren’t there, particularly after 12 years of this shit show. I’d have been off stacking shelves at Asda after about 6 months of witnessing how these owners operate.

"It is a position we are extremely stretched in now," he said. "This window is extremely important for the club to get it right.
"I think we should have signed two (defenders) in the summer. Before these things happened, I think the club should have brought players in."Now with James and Travis going away, then there is space to use, money to use."
Tomasson is particularly disappointed to be losing Hill, who had become a regular in the side after breaking into the team in October.
Whether that full-back or in the middle, Hill was an important contributor to the squad. It leaves a big hole for the club to fill.
"We are losing James Hill, we lost Daniel Ayala and we lost Ashley Phillips," Tomasson said.
"Two went out of the building, one came in. Now he is also gone."
Wow. Gotta say he is the most honest coach
I can see him getting sacked by our honourable owners. They’ve done it before.
You have to be a subservient pleb to work at Rovers.

Broughton has signed three centre forwards during his time here (Hirst, Telaovic & Ennis) in a combined 30 appearances they have not been able to muster a single league goal between them. The man is clueless.

Poor old Burnley, couldn't happen to a nicer mob. Sticking my neck out here and it's based on a hunch more than anything else but I expect Kompany to turn their fortunes around and I don't think they'll go down. There's some poor sides at the bottom of the Prem and there's always 1 or 2 teams that fall away from mid-table in the latter half of the season. Tin hat is on.....
Wonder if you'd have the same opinion on Rovers if we were in the same position? I suspect not. 🙂

I liked how the full backs were often looking for (and finding) that big diagonal ball over to the opposite wing today. Definitely worked mixing things up a bit than every ball coming inside to Wharton.

In the blackburn end there a kiosk where they can sell exclusively Amstell (I think).
It wasn't open. Surely you funnel the half time pinters through there?
Ah yes - the new kiosk - lovingly crafted from the finest materials seemlessly blended into the existing decor. It must have cost a fortune to put that in.
Honour jacks legacy my arse.

John Eustace - our head coach

Watching Lowe in matchday warmups is cringeworthy to me. He looks like an over promoted school PE teacher.
Any decent manager (Head coach!) will spot this and assign the appropriate tasks to him that suit his skill level (or lack of).
However, the Head Coach should be allowed to bring in the best person to implement his vision. Unfortunately, if Eustace is any good, he will quickly realise he is going to have to do it himself.
