  1. Armstrong with 2 out of 3 goals at home to Leeds. 3-0 and Southampton haven't been particularly good, Leeds awful.
  2. Yes, I often wished them gone so we could start again, we'd be well on our way now.
  3. I know what Stockholm syndrome is. If you've read this you'll that it's about what happens if Venky's stop the cash. Do you know?
  4. As I have said it was self inflicted, no question. It isn't relevant if they with old funding.
  5. Nonsense. If you can't contribute just move on.
  6. I don't know the process but guess/assume that the bills, wages, tax don't get paid. If nobody steps in there'll be a winding up order? VLL will sell asserts to recoup whatever they can and we'll become another Bury? Is that it or is it a completely different scenario? Over the years I'd have welcomed that to remove Venky's but now, with this manager and brand of football it seems like a travesty, we're getting somewhere.
  7. I've never seen it discussed in detail, as in what will be the process. No doubt it was self inflicted but that's irrelevant now.
  8. Not many interested in this ...... most posters seem to want rid of our owners, how does that work? I'm quite happy playing this football in the Championship but want promotion just so the owners get most of their money back and Rovers becomes a saleable assett. What happens if they simply stop subsidising the club, turn the tap off? Who pays the bills and wages etc, circa £20m per month?
  9. Scunthorpe https://www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk/news/2023/september/club-update/ Sheffield Wednesday Dejphon Chansiri: Sheffield Wednesday owner says he will stop funding club after 'insults' - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/66958019
  10. I thought that this thread title might have been changed as part of the "rebranding"?

  13. That is the master plan. BBE fans sit in the posh seats, love the experience, subsequently buy season tickets for the JW, hence no need for the BBE and it's closed. Job done!
  14. Really? Not the case with BBD and a few others were given away.
  15. We haven't got that owner. I don't think we can generate the required £20m per year from our support. How do, for example, Preston do it, perhaps they have large debts too?
  16. I wonder how long this can go on, perhaps the town can no longer afford football at this level? I know who's fault it is and it's irrelevant, we are where we are. How do other clubs manage? Those that don't have parachute payments?
  17. I guess only a few out of all those not going will take the trouble to email. He could use that as an indication of how few were upset by his decision.
