  1. Because this it is always enjoyable to see someone who snubbed you or thought they could do better end up seeing that life isn't so good elsewhere. It's like watching a girlfriend who dumped you end up with a horrible next boyfriend.
  2. I'm not sure if we'll recieve bids for him. United probably wouldn't, doesn't suite their style of play anyway. Chelsea might because of his links with Mourinho, but then again he probably isn't a big enough name, they could do better as money is no problem and again I'm not sure if he fits into how they play. Liverpool won't, they'll have money and they'll go for someone Spanish, they have probably also had enough of transfer dealings with us. That only leaves Arsenal and to be quite honest they don't need him and he doesn't have the pace required to really fit into their system. Any team apart from them would love to have him, but I'm not sure why he would leave us to go to anyone but the top 4 (or if they could afford him if he doesn't have a clause in his contract).
  3. Does anyone know yet if MLB 2K7 will be released in PAL fromat for the xbox 360? It doesn't look like it but I can't find anywhere saying that it won't be.
  4. Even with Pedersen on form with his free kicks it would make sense to have a right and left footed free kick taker.
  5. We'll qualify for the championships, but it will be a good day when McClaren goes.
  6. I remember when he signed Friedel talking him up as one of the best free kick takers he had ever faced and that he could get Beckhamesque movement on the ball, but he never seems to take them for us.
  7. I don't think that any player should play a different position for his country from what he plays at club level. Also, Barry's performances have been hyped up and to be honest Neville has been the better player. Barry benefits from the extra attention given to Aston Villa this season and from the fact that he scores more goals.
  8. OK news, he's done quite well, but we could do better and it would be better to bring in some younger players.
  9. They are saying that it is 6 weeks out, which is quite a long time.
  10. Yes, but for a messageboard that was being highly critical of other teams supporters who were celebrating Savage's injury it just all seems a bit hypocritical.
  11. I would have rather gone to Liverpool for less money than West Ham for more and I can understand where they are coming from. I don't know why people think it is pure arrogance that they think Neill has made the wrong decision. We would all be saying the same thing if a player turned us down and went to Watford for more money.
  12. I would be very sad if Hughes thinks he can achieved all that he can here after one 6th placed finish and a couple of semi-finals.
  13. To a certain extent that is how it is and I can understand why he said what he did.
  14. Does anyone know some good signings if you are in the lower leagues?
  15. Why on earth would that comment make you so angry?
  16. I'd love to see Sheffield United stay up as they are the team furthest behind us in terms of quality. I'd most like to see West Ham go down as they are certainly underperforming and with their new financial strength could easily pass us in years to come.
  17. I meant compile the list.
  18. To be fair, their list is a little better and longer than ours.
  19. He went to West Ham because they could, he wasn't thinking about us at all in doing so. If he had cared enough about us to change his career for us then he would have stayed, simple as. Liverpool offering him 30k a week seems to be totally in line with how much they pay their players (not far off what they pay Bellamy and who is the bigger, younger and better player out of the two?). I don't blame Neill for doing what he has done, but don't try and not see it how it is.
  20. I was actually surprised over Christmas to talk to some United fans who didn't even consider Hughes to be in the running. They thought he wasn't nearly a big enough name and that when Ferguson goes that it is most likely that a foreign manager will be brought in.
  21. We gave him permission to talk to West Ham. The clubs are in negotiations and believe that an agreement will be reached, they simply haven't got there yet.
  22. --> QUOTE(Ste B @ Jan 18 2007, 18:06 ) 480588[/snapback] acc to Sky Sports, the hammers have agreed a fee for Lauren. Perhaps the Neill deal has hit a snag ? They might intend on playing him in the centre though, or even at left back.
  23. Well, ask the board for more time to rebuild the squad and then go defensive for your next few games.
