[Archived] Creating Your Own Rovers Kit.
Eddie replied to Driftpeasant's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Alright. I'll let you know when I'm next at a game and I look forward to seeing you at it. Oh and just so you don't get off feeling better than me and the rest of the foreign fans; if I lived within 100 miles of Ewood then I'd be there every home match as well. As it stands for me it just isn't realistic. -

I can also vouch for the quality, great shirts. -

Don't worry about it. Foreign fans will always get a bit of stick now and then and being American won't help. Not worth your time to bother responding to that crap. -
They'll never be an end to this debate, but I believe in quality throughout the sides it is the best, quality at the very top few sides or top half it isn't.

Of course our aim is to get 40 points, but I want our aim to be to get 60 points and in doing so get 40 points, not to plan to get 40 and anything else is a bonus. We will always be able to breathe a sigh of relief when we get past the 40 point mark, I just think the club should be more ambitious then to set that as any sort of target and I believe that under Hughes that is what is being done. If you set targets you don't always hit them, but if you set them well within your sights I think it is rare that you exceed them.

West Ham do have a game in hand...but it is to be played against Manchester United.

Not a problem, but yeah one automatic to the league and then two more that can go their depending on cup results.

Good news boys...Lawro has predicted a defeat! (don't think this has been previously posted). We're "wishy washy away" and he expects us to lose 2-1, I'm feeling more optimimistic now. -
Yes, 5 and 6 now qualify for the UEFA cup.

The list Darren Gough as a Spurs fan, I know he supports Barnsley and has even worked as a commentator on some of their matches. -

Still a football match, I think you should approach them the same way. -

Eddie replied to rock steady's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football Archive
True. Though all of my last 3 pc's I've either built or had built for me and I think I've managed to do it at a fraction of the cost I would have had to have spent had they been factory built. Probably more down to having a few good part suppliers more than anything, but it's not something I would stop doing. -
If we don't make Europe it will be a massive blow and I will view the season as a partial failure. I was one of those who looked forward to the season with great optimism and thought we could make 6th. Of course I didn't really expect us to, but now we are here it is our position to lose. Fair enough we aren't in 4th and if Bolton win their games in hand then they go 5th, but 6th as it stands is our's. We have a good end of season run-in and I think we should be able to make top 6, but at worst I'm hoping for 7th with the FA Cup helping us out and getting us the UEFA cup that way, anything else really won't do at this stage. I honestly believe we have a better team than West Ham, Wigan, City and Bolton and I'll be gutted if they finish above us.

Looks decent but I think by building your own or having it built for you, you could get it for less. -

Why change what has worked for us all season? Especially when you consider that playing 4-4-2 e have beaten better sides than Spurs in recent weeks. -
[Archived] Should Dunny Have Come Home?
Eddie replied to blinddevotion's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
"Shy of players subceptible to injury" and signing those who's careers are constantly plagued by injury so they play only a handful of matches a year isn't quite the same thing. I don't think a "fully fit" Dunn exists. -
[Archived] Craig Bellamy - Good Signing Or Not?
Eddie replied to Modi's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Wasn't a particularly good game and I don't think you could say anyone played well really. Bellamy had possibly the best chance of the game for Wales and after a good first touch his finish let him down, not that it was easy. Other than that there wasn't too much to talk about. -

Love listening to him. His poetic ramblings are great fun and he does know what he is talking about. It will be a sad day when you can no longer hear him on the radio. The last thing on earth I'd want would be people like him being replaced by yet another former footballer struggling to string three words together. He may not always provide some brilliant piece of analysis but he can sum up the game well and always does it in an original and interesting format. -
Ah that was sarcasm? I did miss it then.
-
He's 21 and has shown great potential in my opinion, why cash in on him? I think he's got a lot of ability and in a couple of years time he could be a very good premiership player.
-
That's a reflection on the public and not on the work going on at the club.
-
Totally agree with that. Also interesting looking at dillo dillos spreadsheets and table, last year 4th place had 48 points at this stage and only ended up with 61, maybe we aren't really taking into consideration the impact end of season nerves will have on all of the teams involved in the Champions League and UEFA cup chase. The most any team managed in that final run-in was 18 points, and that was Bolton.

Klaxon could actually be quite good, though I don't think you'll get any reward for it, apart from perhaps getting a poll as to whether or not we want you kicked out.
