  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah i think so. Thats why I thought a bit further back might suit him, with those late runs into the box. We'll see how he gets used going forward, I think he will only be a bit part player this season with them integrating him slowly to he starter next season as I imagine Tronstad and Cantwell will be off next summer.
  3. Yeah, I don't particularly expect Hyam and Tronstad to see out the season with Rovers, but unless we're about to have a truly chaotic week before the summer deadline I can't see either of them going until January.
  4. What they don't get rid of now they'll sell in the Jan window i think that's nailed on.
  5. Looks like a natural goal scorer to me - has got in some great positions already. Not sure he's incredibly skilful and deft in those tight areas, but he'll be in the right place in and around the box to get shots off.
  6. Well there was talk on Twitter the other day that Tronstad couldn't agree terms with a Scandinavian club - so I don't doubt his services have been bandied around. I think he's a fantastic Championship CM so we'd be silly to sell him, but this new regime seems determined to sell anyone with one year left on their contract...
  7. I think he will be used as an attacking midfielder, and admittedly I have only seen the minutes he has played for us so far. For me though I can't help but think he would be better as a "8" as the kids say today, doesn't look to have the nous or guile to play as a "10".
  8. I wonder as well if Tronstad is next on their list to offload, way they talk Baradji is planned to be a starter, presumably alongside Tavares, and if they still want another CM as back-up with Montgomery and Forshaw I think Suhail will be planning to get rid of Tronstad's wages. Would be a bad decision in my opinion, but hard to see us keeping 6 CMs, not even including Henriksson and Cantwell who could do a job there.
  9. Sunderland have bigger fish to fry now.
  10. Celtic board wouldn’t stump up the cash as for the rest of no idea
  11. Thanks, already mentioned. He could be Patrick Viera but that's no good if he can't prove his fitness.
  12. Did all those other clubs drop out of the Baradji chase when they got wind he had a dodgy foot ? Leaving Rovers the only ones prepared to risk it.
  13. This is it though, how does anyone know if anything has changed if they don't know what it was in the first place . The transfer window/market is so fluid, it's impossible for things not to change as it goes along, I'd expect them to.
  14. That's Neal justifying Ismael's comments today with the article stating Fiorentina, Torino and Parma were in for him in the summer.
  15. Sorry but that holds no weight at all in regards to those other clubs bar Blackpool who had live targets right on their doorstep who they could directly impact. In any case it was the other fella who was the real end of the Oystons not the fans although they no doubt helped. When have Burnley or Preston got rid of horrendous or dodgy owners ? They haven't they've both been relatively well owned over the past 20/30 years the proof of the pudding is only there when you eat it. People say protests etc have no impact but if we look back to the height of it Kean/Anderson & co then Shagnew where rooted out of the club after constant pressure on the ownership after the sent Shebby. Eventually he to was pulled out and we entered the Waggot era which was largely stable so everyone plodded along. Once the nonsense started again and the fans groups revved up again the heat focused on him he was pretty quickly gone. So i disagree protests don't have any impact at all it's just because of the unique way this ownership is shielded by thousands of miles and cultural differences it'll take something monumental to get rid. And no amount of Bolton/Burnley/Preston would be any different in our shoes you just might get a few more arrests on matchday.
  16. Plus some of that alleged "interest" might be agent generated.
  17. Maybe, but if Sunderland or Celtic were genuinely interested in him, he would not now be at Rovers I am sure they took a look, but obviously decided to go with other options
  18. Phew! Thought we'd signed him with an option to purchase and then flip him after 3 days!
  19. Would Henrikson not be seen as Weimanns replacement? Seems more of an attacking midfielder rather than one of the 2 in a 4-2-3-1
  20. Think poster meant to show which other teams were allegedly interested in Baradji, hence Ismael bigging him up.
  21. Even with Rovers that would be one hell of a transfer balls up
  22. Isn't that a story from June? https://www.footballfancast.com/celtic-have-made-an-approach-for-moussa-baradji-update/
  23. Hindsight is a wonderful thing with the benefit of which McLoughlin so far looks an adequate replacement for Batth. We haven't replaced Weimann yet (or Dolan) Id say we obviously have missed them as we only have three points from three games.
  24. Yep big business mostly use debt to leverage and if you have plenty fixed assets to secure it against and good liquidity then away you go. Their only problem is when it's nearing tipping point and the lenders say woa you need to reel this in a bit and i think we reached that point whilst Mowbray was still here and before any court case began to bite. Also the fact that the parent company still has a massive turnover but profits and market value have much reduced post pandemic i presume. Lenders won't be keen on seeing 10 million go to the club and ten million be held for the govt every 6 months and neither will the V's finance dept. I can fully understand that to be fair although it doesn't help our cause and at any point one of them could stick a personal ten million in but they don't operate like that.
