JAL Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 EH Diouf technically hasn't left, nor was he here for the last half of the season. Blackman has come back so that replaces one of the strikers although granted he doesn't look up to task. Goodwillie Petrovic Plus 2 or 3 more would be decent business. You're well short Tom M. El Hadj aint going to play again is he ? Blackman!...Tom !... are you taking the pish, or do you want to see us start in the championship come next season.

Not been impressed with Blackman.
Jamesw1982 Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Goodwillie , Petrovic , Park Young , Scott Dann , Krancjaer (on loan) with view to signing him next season
JAL Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 We haven't signed ANYONE yet. And it's August 1st tomorrow. Don't build your hopes up. Exciting times bazza deals to be done early !
niggit Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Im going with four in total. 2 strikers, 1 midfield and 1 defender. Think that will be enough.
Teacup Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 (on loan) I don't think that will be the last time we see those words together this window
keaney23 Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 We still have the option of two Loans, which I think a club our size will look to take advantage of.
Gogger Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Breaking news: Up until yesterday Venkys thought the transfer window opened august 1. They have now been informed otherwise and are ready to splash some cash! True story, a friend of a friend of a friend of an reliable source says so!
Teacup Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 We still have the option of two Loans, which I think a club our size will look to take advantage of. I am hoping they will be pretty good ones too, some of the bigger clubs have stupidly sized squads at the moment. Man City are going to have some pretty class players sitting it out. I think they are closing in fast on 40 players

Fylde Coast Fan Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 City don't want to loan, they need to cash in on players to balance the books - that's why John Williams is there. When the window looks like closing if some of the deadwood is still there then loans might become an option. I think we'll see Formica and Rochina feature a lot more this season, so that's like two new signings. Rochina or Hoilett playing off Roberts or Goodwillie, with another striker or Blackman if we don't get anyone. Emerton on the right wing, I guess. It's not a thrilling concept but it'll do the job (staying up) if need be.
keaney23 Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 A certain Wayne Bridge would interest me! I do not think we will see loans until the back end of the window as players/clubs maybe still holding out for permanent deals. So signing 2 players in Petrovic and Goody is smart business but quite right its not enough as the players out to players in ratio is unbalanced. Apparently we have 2 more active bids in so that shows the clubs are looking to sign at least 2 more players so that would make the total to 4 then if you throw in the option of two loan moves bang! 6 in and I would be very happy with that (Depending on who the players are)

Blackburn Ravers Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Blackburn Rovers up the ante in pursuit of winger Vieirinha http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/9170141.Blackburn_Rovers_up_the_ante_in_pursuit_of_winger_Vieirinha/
callumrovers Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blackburn_rovers/news/9170141.Blackburn_Rovers_up_the_ante_in_pursuit_of_winger_Vieirinha/ Increased are bid for Vieirinha
Scott18 Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Rovers have made a bid for Vieirinha and expect to a response from PAOK tomorrow Beaten to it*
chaddyrovers Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 I know he has been linked but Onuoha on loan would be a coup. I would sign him permanent personally. I think he is available 4 million with add on's should be enough for City to accept it. I would go for Andy Johnson from Fulham. He would give us pace up front which we lack. Fulham are after Defoe aswell plus Martin Jol think his best forward partnership is Dembele and Zamora.
keaney23 Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Vierinha is an exciting attacking player, I was hoping it was him.
chaddyrovers Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/Blackburn-Rovers-winning-chase-for-David-Goodwillie-from-Dundee-United-article779740.html it also mention a 4 million pounds bid for Vierinha and a possible move for Raul
roversnick Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 A certain Wayne Bridge would interest me! wayne bridge, you cannot be serious?!
T.J.Newton Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 http://www.mirrorfoo...icle779740.html it also mention a 4 million pounds bid for Vierinha and a possible move for Raul Chaddy, wont you leave those links alone. O.C.D
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Petrovic, Vierinha, Goodwillie, Valdez/Raul and a CB would be just about be acceptable for the summer. Just hope we dont run out of time to get it all done.
keaney23 Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 wayne bridge, you cannot be serious?! Wayne Bridge is a player I have always rated, If we play Martin Olsson more on the wing and thats Steve Keans thinking for the season then LB Givet? Not for me hes played good their last season at times but hes a much better center half. Wayne Bridge on loan would be a good addition hes a talented physically fit player

That's very generous of you. Better get philipl to verify your bank account before you commit yourself.Have you a link to Onuoha, Andy Johnson, please don't even think it, wouldn't pay him in washers.
