what sweeping changes do you want to see?

Only Root, Archer and Stokes should remain.

I like to see Stokes remain as captain.

Someone needs to be responsible for what has been served up. Stokes individual performamces have been ok, but the team has been pathetic across all disciplines.

Is Bethall ready to be England number 3?

He can't do any worse.

who should opener with Crawley?

Crawley isn't an opener. Hes proven that for years. Im sick of being 15 for 1.

He should be given a chance at 5. If he fails at 5, bin him for good. If hes too thick to learn ges too thick to play.

what pace bowlers should be our future?

We went for all out pace on this trip but its backfired spectacularly. Start afresh focusing on accuracy.

when did this last happen? I can't see Australia cricket agreeing to that or England wanted that. 2 warm up games before the first test and a first class game between 3rd test and 4th test

Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.

On their 6 day bender, the players were given the chance to go on a run at 7am. Three turned up.

Three! Pricks.

No one comes out of this tour with any credit. No one.

Australia havent even got out of 2nd gear.

The players being on the piss is criminal for me, as more and more stories come out about the the 6 day piss up when fans have paid thousands to travel. I'd fine them the players fees for the remaining tests as a minimum, astounding they they think thats acceptable.

English cricket was in a very good place before we left for Oz, the numbers don't tell lies, make changes now and its back to 2 wins in 17 tests, stick with the current regime for me, let me own this Ashes series and make adjustments to suite.

The fans form part of my thinking as well. As usual, the best sporting fans in the world.

Who on earth gave those players permission to go on the raz mid series? They had only played 6 / 7 days at that point. Badly i might add.

Yup. Mcullum and Stokes. The ones you wish to keep.

Mcullums record.

44 tests - 25 wins - 17 defeats - 2 draws.

Won 10 out of the first 11.

Won 15, lost 16, drawn 2 of the last 33.

Decent improvenent against the average teams. Little improvement against India and Australia. Bashing up Afganistan, Bangladesh, the West Indies and Outer Mongolia.

All English fans want positive, aggressive cricket. I would rather lose trying to win anyday.

But these players have no filter. Carte blanche to do as they please. No one ever gets dropped. Once they get these central contracts we are stuck with them for two years.

I believe our players were undercooked and not prepared and are better than they have shown to date.

And that is the fault of those in charge. The ones you wish to keep.

Stop rewarding failure.

Thanks for quality and well written reply @onlyonejackwalker

Yes I know about the bender and McCullum has admitted the preparations weren't right but 4 warm up games seems excessive. 2 warm up games plus one in the middle of the series seems about right.

Key has done interviews today with the media so we will what he says. People will be held accountable but we shouldn't be ripping everything up again cos we do it every time and nothing improved when we played down under last time result wise. Stokes should remain as Captain and Key as DoC but I would move McCullum on and keep him just as White Ball head coach. Can we not forget that we have brilliant wins under Stokes and McCullum including a number of good run chasers that the fans have been entertained and enjoyed. On a new head coach, I would look at these potential candidates like Justin Langer, Jonathon Trott, Gareth Batty, Darren Lehman are few options we should considered

We need to full review in selection of this squad for the series, why Bashir wasn't picked for the last test, why no spare opener batsmen was taken, the pace bowlers picked and why no second spinner picked. Where is Paul Collingwood and who has been doing the fielding drills cos it appears we don't have specialist fielding coach which for me is massive mistake

On Bethell at 3, not sure myself if that's his true position I would give him his chances in the next 2 games but I think Stokes might be better suited to that role. Bethell need to play in that role in county cricket and build his game. Not saying he not good enough but is it the right fit. For me, Pope and Duckett should be drop and go back to County cricket.

I would stick with Crawley has an opener cos I ain't moving Brook from 5 at this stage but if he was to go at 5, where does Brook bat? I would look at Tom Haines or Ben McKinney to bat with Crawley. Crawley need to play the same way as the last inning now. If Stokes does move to 3, Then Jacks could back at 6 with Smith at 7.

Look at the pace options, Is Archer going to want to continue to play test cricket? Wood is 35 and injured prone. So where is the future of the pace attack, Sonny Baker is supposedly a very fast bower so maybe it time to bring him through now to replace Wood. Atkinson should be our line and length bowler similar to Glenn McGrath type. Then we have pace bowlers like Sam Cook or Dillon Pennington or Matty Potts, Josh Tongue, Carse, Matthew Fisher, Nathan Gilchrist.

Is Bashir our best spinner in the country? should Dawson have gone on Tour? Is Sussex's spinner Jack Carson the best in the county game.

Plenty of questions to answer after this series has finished
